My library was removed but was brought back by importing the .xml document. Two problems: One: all my tv shows and music videos are in the movie section. I have over 800 tv shows and music vids, is there a way to edit video type in mass form? two: some of my album artwork is randomly missing. iTunes refuses to retrieve any.

I should point out the file does exist, it just obviously reverted back to the state it was in before I did the particular hour or so of work in it.
EDIT: Should also point out I'm not using Time Machine.
I recently re-installed Tiger on my macbook because I'd accidentally deleted system preferences and I needed it back. I still have all of my HD data, except that iTunes will bounce once in the dock, and then disappear. It doesn't open to my library like it usually would.

Firefox refuses to load swf on any website. I can view youtube just fine. This is what it looks like. The first pic is a article on gizmodo (I am sure most of you read it). After installing a fresh copy of Snow Leopard onto my Macbook Pro I reinstalled Ms Office 2008 from the CD only to find that every time I open it, it crashes straight away. The only one that works in entourage which runs absolutely fine! If found a few threads in the forums about using illegal copies and Microsoft blocking it. However I am using a fully paid for 3 user version of office.
I've tried deleting the files found in
~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2008/Microsoft Office 2008 Settings.plist
/Applications/Microsoft Office 2008/Office/OfficePID.plist
and used a different serial code. However the problem still persists. I've even tried installing from a different disc and it still doesn't work.
I have just been searching my trash folder and have found all my 'Previous I Tunes folders' there. All with the .itl ending. I have dragged the most recent one out of trash but when I try to open it, nothing happens and the icon appears blank.

If I click on it it takes me to Adobe site to update Flash. I updated but still no videos. I put YouTube on the Whitelist in clicktoflash but i still get the upgrade flash message. I've been using Liteicon for this, but since (apparently) you can't change the iTunes icon using it, I tried doing it by going to the applications folder, selecting iTunes, going to "get info" and then dragging the new icon to the top left corner where the iTunes icon is.
Problem is, it won't change. The cursor will change into a cursor with a little green ball with a + in it, but there is no effect. I tried unlocking the lock on the bottom right side of the window, made no difference.
I've googled this and searched this forum for a couple of hours, got nothing.
By the way, I changed the Firefox icon the same exact way, no problem. I'm running as an admin as well.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI synced my Nokia 6300 with Address Book and all about 450 contacts were transferred successfully. I used the iSync. In the meantime, I added some 50 more contacts to my cell phone Contacts and wanted to sync them with address book as well. So, I deleted all the existing 450 contacts from the Address Book on my Mac, hoping the next time I sync cellphone with computer, only the new 50 contacts will be transferred to Address Book. Here is what I ended up with: Address Book with only 50 new contacts and CELL PHONE with only 50 SAME contacts! All of the previous 450 contacts just disappeared from my cell phone! Just like that! I was wondering if there is any chance I can retrieve my contacts, it does not matter where to...either cell phone or Address Book on my Mac. Btw, I am using Leopard 10.5.8 and I have searched all over the web, everybody is mentioning some AddressBook.data.previous file but I cannot find it anywhere! I even created Automator ShowAllFiles Finder Plug in, the Addressbook.data.pevious just is not there. Is there any hope for my contacts or should I try to do something?
