OS X V10.7 Lion :: Its Folders No Longer Show Number Of Items On Bottom
Mar 24, 2012I have just updated to Lion and now my folders no longer show number of items on the bottom. Is there a fix for this? I allways found that handy. Now I have to click on an icon on the top, This is a backward step if that is now the only way to see the number of items.

Feb 20, 2012Lion: there are sliders that allow us to scroll up and down a list in a column. the little arrows that were at the top or bottom of the scrolls ( in panther) that allowed slower, incremental, scrolling through lists are gone. Are they hidden or really gone? Also My itunes window is too long and I can't reach the bottom right corner to resize the window. what is the hidden trick to decrease the length of the window. Quitting and restarting hasn't done it...?

Nov 7, 2009I started having an issue with Safari this afternoon with the Downloads windows not showing the files that are downloading. The Downloads window will show the number of files downloading at the bottom of the screen, but the window is completely empty of files. The files do download, but I would like to be able to see the status of the downloads.
Any ideas on how to get the downloads to display again? I have tried resetting Safari and rebooting, but no luck so far.

This functionality is sadly missing on my computer since I have upgraded to LION, making me regret the move. Is there some pref somewhere that I should adjust, or just plainly forget about it. ? When I print, the dialog window does NOT show the Preview button anymore.

How difficult is it? I have experience working on laptops, I've just never taken a mac this much apart.

May 23, 2009I have RightZoom, so when I click Maximize it always fills the whole screen. I hide my Dock unless I mouse over it, and my windows won't maximize over the bottom 5 pixels of the screen. I drag the bottom right corner of the window, and it doesn't make it any bigger.

Jun 25, 2012I just got a new Macbook Pro with a 15" screen. When I moved files from my 27" iMac the iTunes window is so large that I cannot see the bottom third of the window on the 15" screen. And I cannot access the lower right-hand corner so that I can resize the screen to fit the 15" window. Therefore I cannot see about a third of the music currently in iTunes. If I encounter the same problem with other applications or files, is there a solution that works for all occurrences?

Apr 7, 2009I can't believe I'm even posting this question. I just opened iTunes and the window is so big the bottom is cut off so I can't resize the window from the bottom right-hand corner. Clicking the minus just gives me the player controls and "x" of course closes it. The "+" gives me just the player controls. I just want to resize the window so it's say, 1/4 my screen. How do I resize the window when I can't see the bottom corner?

May 3, 2012I just bought a Mac Mini that came with Lion installed. I couldn't transfer my files over from my old G4 because the video card died in that Mac, so I put the hard drive into an external USB case and did the transfer of my old settings that way using Migration Assistant. All my settings seems to have moved fine and I manually moved my web files to Library/WebServer/ Documents folder, but when I turn on Web Sharing none of my files show up on the server although they are all in the Library/WebServer/ Documents folder and Web Sharing is turned on Sharing Preferences. All I get when I access the IP is "It Works".
