IMac (Intel) :: OS X Mavericks (10.9.4) Memory Card Reader Not Detected
Sep 7, 2014I have an iMac, early 2009 OS X 10.9.4. Up until a few months ago I didn't have a problem with my memory card reader. The computer no longer detects the memory card reader. There is no indication by the computer that the memory card read has been plugged in. I bought a new memory card reader (different brand). The computer does not detect the new memory card reader. I have tried rebooting the computer. That did not make a difference. I tried unplugging all the USB devices plugged into the computer. That did not work

Mar 26, 2009I've posted on here before that I'm getting significantly slower framerates on WoW than others with the GT130 or the 8800GS or even some ATI 2600's (on similar settings and resolutions) so now I'm thinking I have a lemon. Is there any way I can test my card to see if it's working as it should be??

Jun 3, 2014Recently I bought an IMAC 27 inch with OSX 10.9.1 on it. Video editing i do with AVID MEDIA COMPOSER 6.5.4.
Then I did the upgrade to OSX 10.9.2, for sofar was everything ok. Later I did the upgrade to OSX 10.9.3 and then the problems started.
A portion of AVID no longer worked properly. So the problem was clearly the upgrade. Now my question is how can I go back to OSX 10.9.2 ...

OS X :: Icon Gone But Memory Stick Not Ejecting Properly
Jan 17, 2010I have a Macbook running Mac OS X 10.6.2. I eject my memory stick by highlighting it in the finder the selecting File - Eject. The memory stick icon then disappears from the Finder but the light on the stick is still on. As I selected eject I remove the stick anyway. The next time I insert the stick I am told that I did not eject it properly.

Mar 9, 2012My one month old iMac does not maintain an interent connection for very long. Sometimes it stays connected for <maybe> an hour, but MORE often it drops either the wifi signal all together or just stops connecting to the internet... when it does seem to have a connection it is VERY slow.
My solution: turn off Wifi wait a few seconds and turn it back on... which is very annoying, but that fixes it.
I have the latest software across the board. I'm running wifi on Time machine. My signal is strong. I have a Powerbook and iPad that connects to it without issues (for a couple of years its been fine until this iMac problem).

Jan 29, 2009I purchased a Q-Drive Q 1TB in Dec for my 24" iMac, purchased it at a Apple Store. I was connected with 800firewire cable, all seemed to be working ok, time machine etc. But in the past month the drive has become a nightmare, it will just disconnect at random. At that point i cannot get it to mount, unless I reboot my iMac. I have tried to connect with 400firewire and usb2, but the same problem persists. Needless to say I am somewhat annoyed, it was not cheap. Anyone have any advice on what I should do, I'm scared to go to G-Tech for support as what I could find appears to be a nightmare. Would I be able to return this to the Apple store that I bought it from?

Attached and powered it but I get only "No Signal" on my monitors (LCD: Eizo FlexScan S2401W and Samsung SyncMaster 225BW). Tried different cables: DVI-D Single-link, DVI-D dual, DVI-I Dual and VGA+Apple DVI-adaptor - no effect.
