If you have a 13" 2010 MacBook Air with the SD card slot, and you are looking for a card to expand the capacity of your MacBook Air, what is the max capacity card currently available that you can use in this slot. I hear that they have new cards with capacities of up to 2TB, but are these cards compatible with the SD card slot on the MacBook Air? (SDXC 2TB cards)
View 17 Replies View RelatedI'm about to purchase one and I keep getting mixed answers. I know there are two slots in this model, but i've been told it holds a maximum of 2GB, 1GB in each, and also that it only holds 1GB, 512MB in each.
Someone that has this model may know the real answer. Keep in mind, this is the 17", not the 20", so it may be different.
Also, are both slots accessible?

So, I have a 2006 model MacPro. Currently, I have (3) 500GB hard drives and (1) 750GB hard drive.
I would like to possible add a 2TB or at least 1.5TB internal hard drive to it (I have so much clutter with my external drives already)
I called Apple and they said that model only went to 750GB....
Is there really a limit? It's a SATA drive so I figure it would keep going? has anyone had any luck with larger drives??!
I just purchased a Mac mini g4 1.5ghz and it came with a 120gb hd does anyone know the max hd capacity I can put into it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt's only been a month&half with my MBP 13". Coconut battery claims my MBP is 3 months old now (obviously manufactured 2 months prior to my purchase). Currently I have 8 cycles. 2 calibrations (one on first day, and one yesterday). It went from 98%-97%. Obviously this isn't a big jump, and I know i'm just being paranoid. I don't understand how people on the forum says after calibration your maximum battery capacity should go up, and it refreshes the system or something. It nearly dropped by a 100... What the hell? How do I make it go up? It's only a month old !! Shouldn't it be at 100% or atleast 99%? Some people on this forum claim that they have over 100%+ after MONTHS of usage...

I have to actualy stand up to peer around the side of my screen. While trrying to retrieve the card, I heard something drop, presumably it has droped inside somewhere.

Howdy all, just been scouring the web but can't find anything on this. I have a late 2008 aluminium MB 2.4ghz. I currently have a 500gb HD but want to increase this. Is there a max size/capacity that my model supports or can I go nuts and say put a 1TB inside with no dramas?
View 4 Replies View RelatedG4 eMac 1.25, OS 10.4.11 What maximum capacity of internal hard drive can I put inside my eMac? 250 Gb drives (in NZ) are selling for under 40c/Gb, and I definitely need to increase the hard drive size in the eMac.
The present installed HD in the eMac is a Seagate Barracuda ST340015A, manuf. 2003
Capacity: 37.27 GB
Model:ST340015A

Serial Number:5LACNJ0R
Its spindle speed is 5800 rpm, whereas most modern drives are 7200 (or faster). Will that affect any proposed hard drive change?

View 22 Replies View RelatedWell first off let me say I was pretty intoxicated and not thinking straight. I took out my sd card out of my camera, and while looking dead on at my screen i reached over to the side and pushed my sd card all the way though.
After realizing what I did i proceded to panic, yell, curse, and punch myself in the forhead. I called my buddy who works at an Apple retail store and told me that if I brought it in and they had to open it up I would be charged for the part and labor (around$200+).
I again proceded to cuss and punch myself till he suggested I hold the 27'' beheameth sideways and jump up and down. Once I heard it drop i knew I had a solid chance of geting it out. Since there's the dust flaps in the superdrive slot it wouldn't just come out by shaking. I literally had to hold it sideways on my knee and take a hairclip in order to get it out.
I would like to set up a mac pro using Slots 1 & 2 for RME ADAT digital audio cards and move the graphics card (geforce GT 120 512mb) to slot 3 or 4 so that I can maximize slot speeds for multiple audio playback via logic. Is this possible?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought my Macbook Pro in February or March of 2006 and it's still running strong. The hard drive, however, is full and I'd like to get a new, larger, faster one. I'm aware that I need a SATA drive and that it's form factor should be 2.5". I'm also aware that the max transfer rate for my drive is 1.5 Gb/s, can I use one that is 3.0 Gb/s? I think the current drive is 4200 or 5400 RPM, can I use one that is 7200RPM (this computer is mostly used while on AC power)? What about maximum capacity? Are there any limitations due to BIOS or the motherboard? Here is the drive I'm looking at, please let me know if this will work or if you have a similar, better solution.

I'm looking for at least a couple of different peoples' opinions, or if you have a link that points to replacement HD requirements that would also be very helpful.
I've recently purchased the iMac i7 quad; I know it has an SD slot but I'm wondering whether or not this takes SxS Express cards? These are the cards used with the innovative XDCAM's.Do the SxS Pro/Express/-1 cards fit in the SD slot? And if not, do I need some sort of USB card reader?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAlright I have a current rev Mini 1.83ghz, and want to upgrade the stock 80gb HD, wondering if this drive will work. [URL]. I want the 7200RPM, but wasn't sure 3.0GB would work on the intel controller, thinking it may only support 1.5GB. Also, when I reinstall leopard, does it allow me to format the drive to HFS+ or how would I do this?
