I hear that they have new cards with capacities of up to 2TB, but are these cards compatible with the SD card slot on the MacBook Air? (SDXC 2TB cards)

Apr 18, 2007I'm about to purchase one and I keep getting mixed answers. I know there are two slots in this model, but i've been told it holds a maximum of 2GB, 1GB in each, and also that it only holds 1GB, 512MB in each.
Someone that has this model may know the real answer. Keep in mind, this is the 17", not the 20", so it may be different.
Also, are both slots accessible?

Nov 29, 2010So, I have a 2006 model MacPro. Currently, I have (3) 500GB hard drives and (1) 750GB hard drive.
I would like to possible add a 2TB or at least 1.5TB internal hard drive to it (I have so much clutter with my external drives already)
I called Apple and they said that model only went to 750GB....
Is there really a limit? It's a SATA drive so I figure it would keep going? has anyone had any luck with larger drives??!

Jul 23, 2010It's only been a month&half with my MBP 13". Coconut battery claims my MBP is 3 months old now (obviously manufactured 2 months prior to my purchase). Currently I have 8 cycles. 2 calibrations (one on first day, and one yesterday). It went from 98%-97%. Obviously this isn't a big jump, and I know i'm just being paranoid. I don't understand how people on the forum says after calibration your maximum battery capacity should go up, and it refreshes the system or something. It nearly dropped by a 100... What the hell? How do I make it go up? It's only a month old !! Shouldn't it be at 100% or atleast 99%? Some people on this forum claim that they have over 100%+ after MONTHS of usage...

Mar 11, 2012The CD slot is so close to the memory card slot, and I usually find them by feel as they are on the far side of the computer. I have to actualy stand up to peer around the side of my screen. While trrying to retrieve the card, I heard something drop, presumably it has droped inside somewhere.

Dec 14, 2009Well first off let me say I was pretty intoxicated and not thinking straight. I took out my sd card out of my camera, and while looking dead on at my screen i reached over to the side and pushed my sd card all the way though.
After realizing what I did i proceded to panic, yell, curse, and punch myself in the forhead. I called my buddy who works at an Apple retail store and told me that if I brought it in and they had to open it up I would be charged for the part and labor (around$200+).
I again proceded to cuss and punch myself till he suggested I hold the 27'' beheameth sideways and jump up and down. Once I heard it drop i knew I had a solid chance of geting it out. Since there's the dust flaps in the superdrive slot it wouldn't just come out by shaking. I literally had to hold it sideways on my knee and take a hairclip in order to get it out.

May 30, 2010I bought my Macbook Pro in February or March of 2006 and it's still running strong. The hard drive, however, is full and I'd like to get a new, larger, faster one. I'm aware that I need a SATA drive and that it's form factor should be 2.5". I'm also aware that the max transfer rate for my drive is 1.5 Gb/s, can I use one that is 3.0 Gb/s? I think the current drive is 4200 or 5400 RPM, can I use one that is 7200RPM (this computer is mostly used while on AC power)? What about maximum capacity? Are there any limitations due to BIOS or the motherboard? Here is the drive I'm looking at, please let me know if this will work or if you have a similar, better solution.
