I just purchased a new Imac 21.5 and want to transfer my calender from my 3gs onto Ical. Apple support says it can't be done. Is there software out there that will?
My old PC had an option of "mingle" which accomplished it very well.
I just bought a brand new iMac. I have a huge music/video/app library from my PC on my iPhone 3GS all of which songs are from iTunes, but I can not figure out how to import all of them to the new mac.
Any trusted programs? I'm worried if I sync the iPhone 3GS with the iMac, all of my data will be erased.
But i notice one my new macbook & my hubbys macbook air, the correct date will show even if its not open. Only once i click to open the calender on my imac will the date change. My imac version is 10.4.11, is this something to do with it?

But what's really annoying is that any new entries on my N95 get put on a local calendar and not Google calendar - I can't work out how to make this the default.
In iSync, Google calendar is greyed and it only lets me choose a local calendar.
Any ideas?I've searched the web but can't find any clues.
Since there are 4 USB ports can the iMac support/sync/charge a iPad and iPhone at the same time?

I recently purchased an MP3 album from Amazon, which downloaded fine. Unlike previous times, however, the Amazon Downloader app didn't load the music into my iTunes library. I tried to manually add the album to my iTunes Library, with no luck. I was able to load the album into my iPhone Music app by dragging and dropping on my iPhone device in iTunes (after turning off iTunes Match).. If I double-click on the songs on my hard drive, they will play in iTunes, but do not import.Â

So I created a portfolio online using iWeb on an iBook. I have it published on .Mac. I am changing jobs and have to turn in my ibook and don't want to lose my work. I need to know how I can get my iWeb created web site into iWeb on my iMac at home?

I have searched the online and tried several options. I tried publishing it to a folder on my iBook, copied it to the iMac but can't find a way to import it into my iWeb on my iMac.
I have an Imac, with CS3. I use Iphoto to import my images straight from my canon 50D camera, which has been very easy for me to do. I've been importing jpegs up until now. Yesterday I attempted to import about 50 RAW images, but an error occurred and would not import them. So i suspect the error is because i am trying to import RAW images.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy iPad [1] IOS 5 has a number of duplicate addresses, but does NOT include *all* my Contacts from my Mac. My Mac is OSX 10.7.  I have selected iCloud as my storage, not 'my computer'I have tried deleting the iPad Contacts [iCloud>slider 'off'] but when I return the slider to 'on' the Contacts are repopulated, but with all the same duplicates and omissions as before. I have allowed a time delay; tried restarting the computer; nothing makes any difference. I am reduced to sending myself emails containing the missing addresses! In additon to the above... Pt2: the duplicates in iPad Contacts have more - eg repeating the Home address - or sometimes less, information. and if I add a name to a Group, there is immediately a duplicate entry created in the main address list [I could have >8 duplicated entries for one name if added to several group mailings] Deleting duplicates is pointless, as they reappear.

I am trying to import my address book contacts information from iCloud to my iMac. I want the addresses to be physically on the iMac and to stay there when I turn off contacts in my iMac iCloud settings. I thought I could do it by exporting the Address Book to an external hard drive with iCloud contacts on, turning iCloud contacts off, and importing the Address Book from the external drive. Well, the iMac was not so easily fooled; when I did this, it turned Contacts back on in the iCloud settings and when I then turned it off (again) and clicked to save contacts on the iMac, the address book was empty again. How can I actually, physically, transfer my Contacts from iCloud to my IMac? I am doing this as a means of copying my iPhone (and IPad) contacts to my iMac. I want the contacts to be the same in all three devices with iCloud contacts turned off on all three devices.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust made the move to a Mac yesterday. I have searched on-line and in forums, but I can't find the answer to my problem. I am importing 500 gig of photos which have been obsessively organized on my pc. When I import them (only 1.5 gig this first time), the images are being moved from their original folders and organized by date in iPhoto. I'm sure there is a setting somewhere that I need to tweak, but I haven't been able to find it. Having looked closer, I see there are multiple folders for each year, with seemingly no logic to the pictures that are placed in each.

If I try to sync my iPhone or IPad to our computer I get an error that reads "The IPhone cannot be synced. The disk could not be read from or written to." The error comes at the start of syncing the photos. I have removed the photos from my iPhone it syncs fine, so the problem has to be with the photo library, RIGHT? The problem is iI have never had this issue before. I have my iTunes and iPhoto on a external hard drive and this has been fine in the past, but now i can not even view my photos on my iTV...

Well, my iMac somehow synced that information to its System Preferences (see: System Preferences > Keyboard > Text). I have since removed those shortcuts from my phone, but my iMac still held those "Replace __ With __" preferences. And they will auto-correct to emoji in almost every application (Messages, Mail, etc). Â

Using iTunes, I imported my contacts from my iPhone to my Mac. What I should have done is choose the Selected groups option (because I just want my iPhone contacts) but by mistake I chose All contacts, with the result that I ended up with lots of unwanted contacts (e.g. from my work MS Exchange account). So I have deleted all the contacts from my Address Book and want to start the sync process again.Â
I want to make sure I don't delete all my contacts from my iPhone.Â
If I tick "Sync Address Book Contacts", "All contacts" (all other options are greyed out) and click "Sync", what will happen? Will the fact that I have deleted all the contacts on my mac wipe the contacts from my iPhone when I press Sync?Â
If I uncheck the "Sync Address Book Contacts", I get a prompt telling me iTunes will no longer sync with my phone and asking me if I want to remove contacts previously synced to my iPhone. Out of caution I am choosing the option "Don't remove contacts".Â
When I try to do this using itunes sync, I get the message that my iphone will be replaced with macbook ibooks and that is not what I want to do. I want to do the opposite. I tried downloading different things from my Macbook and it does to " downloads" whereby when I do the same thing on my iphone it goes straight to "ibooks" like I want it to.
