I've got my N95 working with iSync and I have Google Calendar visible from iCal.
But what's really annoying is that any new entries on my N95 get put on a local calendar and not Google calendar - I can't work out how to make this the default.
In iSync, Google calendar is greyed and it only lets me choose a local calendar.
Any ideas?I've searched the web but can't find any clues.
Something seems to be wrong with my MobileMe syncing. I recently did a hard drive replacement in my MBP due to a failing hard drive. I did a complete mirror of my hard drive and everything is working fine except for MobileMe. I am able to sync all MobileMe items except for the Calender. When it gets to �alendar syncing a window pops up with the following:
You need to replace your Calendar information on MobileMe
If this computer has the most current information, click Replace. If the most current information is on another computer, cick Fix Later and replace your information on that computer.
Obviously my only two options to click are Fix Later and Replace.
The problem is while I was unable to use my computer I was using my iPhone mostly with the calendar which of course synced to my MobileMe account.
I don't want to choose Replace since this computer was not used for approximately 2 weeks so is not at all up to date.
I can choose Fix Later but I never get any other options.
I simply need to have this computer get the information from MobileMe and place it on this computer since both my iphone and MobileMe is up to date but I never get that option.
How do I do this (take info from MobileMe and put on this computer)?

I want to share a calendar or two with another person but the person does not have Mobile Me so are there other ways to share my calendar? Note, the person does use google calendar, is there a way via google?

I have set our new XServe and have PHP running fine. However, I want to use the PHP calendar module/extension. This is a standard PHP module and can be found in the standard downloads from PHP.net. I tried to take the Linux approach of recompliling PHP with --enable-calendar however, this doesn't work as there is no compiler on the system.
Any ideas on how i can get the calander module to work? The only compiled versions of PHP I can find for the Mac don't include calendar.I'm Running OS X 10.4.7, PHP 4.4.1, Apache 1.3.33
am having trouble trying to get my iCal to sync with my Google calendar. I want it so when i make changes to either ical or google calendar it automatically updates the other one. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
i had looked at the option to publish my iCal calendar but when i click on calendar in iCal to choose "send publish email" it is greyed out.
I used to have it send me emails but I don't check my email as much but I'm usually on facebook or youtube if there isn't an add on then maybe another program thats not as big.

I don't want to rely on alerts being added at to the subscription itself, I want to be able to customise on my end when I get an alert for an entry, and when or what that alert will be. Is this possible? I don't see any options for it. If not, anyone know of any good alternative calendar applications that are like iCal?
I would like to setup a sort of family calendar on my icloud account, where all family members can see the different family dates. How can I manage to grant access to the rest of the family, who do have their own MacBook and iclouds. On Apple.com it's said, that this is one of the fantastic features of icloud, but couldn't find any discription about how to configure this setup.

Did 10.5.6 take this option away ? I do not have it.
With Leopard and Snow Leopard I could sync my Address Book with Google Contacts (in google apps). Now with Lion I can't find a way to sync those contacts. I have an iCloud acount for my personal contacst but our company uses Google Apps for sharing the contacts

Trying to get them to talk to each other - I've input the Google account into iCal preferences, and it shows up fine. But I seem only able to sync one way - if I add an appointment in Google Calendar - then sync - it shows up fine in iCal. But if I add an event in iCal and then sync - it doesn't show up on the Google Calandar.
I just downloaded NetNewsWire which is exactly what I wanted but it's just too buggy. Can anyone recommend a good reader that will sync with Google?

This works fine for photos, iCal, contacts but I what I would like to do is to be able to back up and view my sms on my Mac. Does anybody know if there is anyway of achieving this (free if possible)? If not, can anybody recommend a phone (other than the obvious iPhone) that has this syncing capability with Macs? I am looking to update my phone soon anyway.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Google Chrome 8.0.552.215 on my Mac (running OSX 10.6.5). I can't get Chrome sync working properly. I had everything setup and working properly this morning between my iMac and my Mac Pro, but then I noticed that my bookmarks didn't import properly from Firefox (I'd imported my bookmarks from Firefox into Chrome on my Mac Pro just prior to initially setting up Chrome Sync).
I decided to delete all of the bookmarks from Chrome on my Mac Pro, then immediately reimport them a second time (making sure to fix the issue that caused my initial problem this second time around). For some strange reason, this has somehow completely screwed up Chrome sync, which doesn't sync anything anymore (bookmarks, extensions, etc...) I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome, but still no luck!
I've logged into my Google Dashboard and deleted all of the Chrome Sync Data, waited a good half hour, then tried setting up Chrome sync again... Google Dashboard does show that data is being synced from this first machine, but then when I set it up on the second computer (with a completely clean install of Chrome), the data never makes it there! I am at a complete loss here. I've even tried using an alternate Google Account, but that didn't work either!
I'm looking for an RSS client for Leopard that will sync with Google Reader (Google Reader is the only was I can view my feeds at work) Does such a thing exist? (I'm new to Macs, I just switched after 15 years of Windows use, and I'm not regretting it at all!)

Would I have to delete my original calendar called "Home" and just make the Google Calendar (in iCal) my main calendar? Does it do a good job of syncing both ways? Also, if I do this, does it also sync through MobileMe?
My iphone and google contacts sync well. now i'm trying to sync my Address Book on my Macbook Pro with google contacts and nothing happens. I've entered my email and PW in preferences too.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI can boot into bootcamp with no problems. I have been wanting to be able to open the bootcamp in Parallels. Here is the issue:
1. The partition 'disk0s3' is greyed out in Disk Utility. It is not mounted. Mounting does nothing.
2. For reference, the Windows 7 is formatted as NTFS. It is a Windows 7 64-bit install
3. Verify disk does the following:
Verifying volume "disk0s3" ** /dev/disk0s3
Invalid BS_jmpBoot in boot block: efbbbf
Error: This disk needs to be repaired. Click Repair Disk.
4. repairing does the following:
Verify and Repair volume "disk0s3" ** /dev/disk0s3

I have stuff on the Windows partition that I don't want deleted. I'm really stuck on this -obviously, I can just continue to boot into bootcamp, I just would rather open it from Parallels. I'm not sure what or if I made some mistake in setting up Bootcamp, I thought I followed the directions to that. I do know I formatted the partition as NTFS during the install - as I think Windows 7 requires it. I have tried installing NTFS-3G - it is installed, but didn't do any good when trying to mount the drive.
