Software :: .mac Expiring How Do I Keep My Emails In Mail?

My .Mac account is expiring very soon. (I have had it for years, in part because my wife and I didn't live together yet (we were dating), and I was just generally more transient, it was generally useful. Right now that functionaility I used it for isn't necessary, and although Mobile Me is interesting, I just can't make use of it right now.)
Anyway, my primary email address has been my @mac.com email. The email I've received from the".mac team" tell me that my .mac email will be accessable for two weeks after expiration. I just want to make sure that I do not lose the copies of those emails I have in Mail.app once the account expires.
Are there certain settings of something I should be sure are in place to make sure I don't lose everything?

The last couple of days when I launch iTunes, I get a dialog box saying "This copy of iTunes will expire in __ hours."I'm running 8.2b7 (beta version); and wanted to stick with this one in case anything happened to my iPhone 3G and I need to rejailbreak it and upload the correct AT&T file for MMS and tethering to work.From what I understand the later versions of iTunes won't let me choose which carrier file to send to the iPhone.Anyone who has upgraded beyond 8.2, can you option-click (on a Mac) and choose which carrier file to send to the phone?

Apple mail out of office rule is sending auto replies to all emails not just newly received emails--HELP! I set up the rule according to another apple support thread and instead of only sending the reply to new mail received, it was sent to all messages I believe that were in my INBOX, I only had a few but several people that hadn't sent me emails since I set up the rule, received the OUT OF OFFICE reply.Here is the procedure I followed for the out of office rule-[URL]I just used my email account which is a business account- not an ECU account but these rules according to the apple thread apply for all emails.

Why is it that I can't delete emails in Mail? I'd delete an email on an account and it will go away but when I click on another account and click back to the old account, the "deleted" mail will reappear.

My mac mail program keeps downloading the same emails off my yahoo server over and over again. It should only be downloading ones that it hasn't downloaded before. That's the way it has always worked and something changed suddenly. It also changed for my "Entourage" email program.

I have a problem deleting several emails from the Trash Folder in Mail. All of them are me.com emails.
Around the time this happened I had a problem with my Apple Base Station so maybe it has to do with my losing the internet a short time but there are 7 emails greyed out that I simply cannot delete. I press delete and nothing happens. Any idea how I can get rid of these? Any other emails I get I can simply delete.

how can i filter out specific email advertisements from certain companies. i have my spam filters engaged but there are several email addresses for companies that come through. i'd like to filter out these specific addresses, but can't find an option to do so.

I am using a new 24 inch IMac. I just decided to use mail 3.5 vice thunderbird and have had a number of issues (To me, the program seems incredibly buggy which shocks me)...I have been able to work through most but here is a minor annoyance I cant seem to figure out...
When I delete an email from a list of emails, I want the next email that is highlighted to be the one that is the next one down, not the one that is the next one up. How do you establish this preference?

Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, I cannot add an attachment to email using Yahoo mail. Every time I select the file, Yahoo mail begins scanning and it then crashes the browser - happens with any browser and any file.
Searching around suggests there are similar problems for some users but not as pervasive.

We have two email addresses (one for myself and one for my spouse). In one account the e-mails now seem to "appear" twice in that inbox since Snow Leopard. However, when we move the email to another folder, only one moves and the phantom one disappears.

I had mistakenly moved my gmail to mail.app - mistake was that I completely cleaned-out my entire Gmail account! I fixed Gmail so that it copies the emails as they go to mail.app, leaving it also in Gmail.
Now I want to restore the 3,000 emails I had cleared out of Gmail BACK into Gmail...can I do this?
Can I move them somehow from mail.app back into Gmail with one sweep, just as I had moved them all into mail.app from Gmail? Or am I skrw'd and have to move them individually by forwarding?

I have been problems with my mail app for a while now. It will not download any new emails from my AOL account. I have tried deleting the account from the app and resetting it up. Still no luck.

I just set up my iCloud account and now I receive emails to both my Cox account on my Mail app on my Mac Pro AND on my iCloud account. How do you set it up to where if you delete emails off your Mail app on your Mac it will also delete that same emails off your iCloud account?

My mail has stopped being able to receive email from yahoo. Everything is set up properly and it was working fine up until a couple of days ago. Mail seems to have problems connecting to the server.I can receive but not send. When I use the connectivity doctor it stays for ages trying to connect to the yahoo server, sometimes it connects after a few minutes, sometimes it doesn't connect at all. I have no problems sending or receiving emails from my ipod, other computers or yahoo itself, the only problem is with Mail.

I have Mac Mail setup to delete all emails after one month, this includes the Sent, Junk, and Trash. However Mail is only keeping one week's worth. I use iCloud as my sole email account. This issue has been occuring for a few months now.

I am now experisenicng the following error message in Mail on my macbook. I am running Lion and it is updated but my icloud emails won't come in.
the following message appears:
"There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account “iCloud” or try again.
The server returned the error: Mail was unable to connect to server “p99-imap.mail.me.com” using SSL on port 993. Verify that this server supports SSL and that your account settings are correct."
I have checked the password and all other settings and they are all correct so I dont know why this is now suddenly happening.

I am using an iMac with Snow Leopard 10.6.8, which has Mail 4.5 on it.Since yesterday, my Mail application will no longer download e-mails. When I open it, the little tray in the corner says it is downloading message 26 of 26, but after it finishes, nothing happens. No new Mail has been downloaded. It keeps doing this, even after a reboot (I have double-checked that the order of my Mail hasn't changed, and it isn't just showing at the bottom).
Today, I removed my Gmail account from Mail, and added it again. I entered my Gmail username/password. Once set up, it proceeds to download e-mails (downloading 1 of 26). The thing is, it has shown this constantly for the last 20 minutes. I don't even have big recent e-mails.

I have emptied the Trash and set preferences for all my email accounts so that emails are permanently erased on quitting Mail.I also selected Rebuild from the Mailbox pull-down menu.I bought an email archiving program called MailSteward. When I run it, it pulls in many thousands of emails that I have already deleted from Mail. This is no good at all!The programmer of MailSteward
(By the way, MailSteward does not go online to find emails: it just looks on my computer. Also, these supposedly deleted emails were sent to my mac.com account and my gmail account, so it's not .Mac or gmail that's the problem.)

Mail is not receiving new emails from either of my 2 email accounts (Media Temple and Gmail). The program sits idle while the messages come in on my phone and iPad. Restarting the program seems to wake it up, but I'm not content to do that each time I need to check my email. I have Mail on my MacBook Pro and have never had this particular problem, it's just on my brand new iMac.

I opened up mail today to find that my entire inbox has been totally wiped. This is quite inconvenient for many reasons, but I'm not sure how to fix it. I still have the emails in my outbox, sent and drafts folder, but there is nothing to be found in my inbox. It doesn't appear as if my emails are in the trash anywhere either.I'm with telus, for what it's worth,and I'm running 10.9.2.

How to make mail app list all sent emails? In particularly those not sent from mail app but from example iphone, ipad and browser. I have - as you may have guessed - gmail - I have always had this issue, which until three months ago, thought was just one of those things I would just have to accept and live with.
However, three months ago I started my new job, we also use gmail as email provider (though our emails don't end with @gmail.com but @corporatename.com) I have these two email accounts setup exactly the same way in both mail apps, but the mail app in my work laptop lists emails I have sent from browsers and smart phone (my work mobile is not an iphone) but the mail app on my private laptop doesn't. How can this be, and how do I make mail app at home do as my work app mail does

I have a number of email accounts, most of them IMAP.
It seems recently (say the past month) its been very slow. The Activity windows shows the accounts seems to just not move. They do eventually process but it takes a long time. They will sit for a minute on stuff like:
"Opening mailbox"
"Getting unread counts"
"Checking status of mailbox"
It seems sometimes they are fast, but when an account gets "stuck" it just takes forwever........
Shutting Mail down (or trying to reboot) takes a long time because it always has to wait for these processes to try and finish.
Perhaps the bigger problem (maybe related maybe not) is that sometimes when I send an email, there is not record of that email. Its not placed in any Sent folder, its not uploaded to the IMAP account. However, they do seem to be actually sent. I *think* this may account while Mail is "stuck" trying to process an account, but I'm not sure....
I have tried Rebuilding all the IMAP folders (not all my offline folders). I have deleted the Envelope files to have Mail reindex.
