Can I still look at my emails in Mail as an application rather than iCloud through Safari?
If so, how do I do this.
I still use Snow Leopard.
I have never liked MobileMe.

I just set up my iCloud account and now I receive emails to both my Cox account on my Mail app on my Mac Pro AND on my iCloud account. How do you set it up to where if you delete emails off your Mail app on your Mac it will also delete that same emails off your iCloud account?

I am now experisenicng the following error message in Mail on my macbook. I am running Lion and it is updated but my icloud emails won't come in.
the following message appears:
"There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account “iCloud” or try again.
The server returned the error: Mail was unable to connect to server “p99-imap.mail.me.com” using SSL on port 993. Verify that this server supports SSL and that your account settings are correct."
I have checked the password and all other settings and they are all correct so I dont know why this is now suddenly happening.

I am using an iMac with Snow Leopard 10.6.8, which has Mail 4.5 on it.Since yesterday, my Mail application will no longer download e-mails. When I open it, the little tray in the corner says it is downloading message 26 of 26, but after it finishes, nothing happens. No new Mail has been downloaded. It keeps doing this, even after a reboot (I have double-checked that the order of my Mail hasn't changed, and it isn't just showing at the bottom).
Today, I removed my Gmail account from Mail, and added it again. I entered my Gmail username/password. Once set up, it proceeds to download e-mails (downloading 1 of 26). The thing is, it has shown this constantly for the last 20 minutes. I don't even have big recent e-mails.

I've got a work emailadress active on Apple Mail on my computer at work and I got the same account active on Outlook on my home computer. The thing is however that I'm receiving emails on Apple Mail that I'm not receiving in Outlook and vica versa.Does anyone have any experience with that? As of yesterday my Mac will no longer send or receive emails that have attachments on them. It doesn't matter the size or format of the attachment, nothing happens. It shows as Sent but it doesn't get to the recipient and I can't receive either.

If the mail application is close, iCloud mail goes offline, although my other email accounts in the mail app do NOT go offline. When I open the mail app, there is a symbol next to the iCloud account (but not next to the others) that looks like a circle with a horizontal zig-zag. When I click on that symbol I get the following message: "This account (iCloud) appears to be offline due to a network problem." If I click the button in the dialogue box that says, "Take all accounts online,", then my iCloud mail comes in right away. However, all my other mail accounts already are delivered. It is not a network or connection problem.

Loaded OS Lion on iMac yesterday and transferred mail from MobileMe to iCloud. Spent hours trying to get mail working on desktop but finally succeeded.Shutting down overnight caused mail to quit working again. However, if I go to iCloud website the mail works OK. View 14 Replies View Related45 minutes ago I went to check my mail on my computer and my inbox is empty! There was mail in it an hour ago, and then it just disappeared. I didn't change or move anything, the inbox was just empty. I then checked my sent box and all my sent emails were there, checked back 5 minutes later and their gone! The emails in my deleted and junk folders are still there. I checked online through icloud.com and Inbox and sent mail are empty there too, as well as my phone.
I say again, I didn't delete, move or change anything in my mail, it was there and then it was gone. Where did my mail go? I am running a intel Mac Pro tower with Lion 10.7.2 and a iphone 4 with IOS 5.1
Why am I getting so many random emails through icloud from people I have never heard of. Its as if someone else has the exact same email as me. what is happenning?
