Have any of you encountered a situation wherein the left and right mouse button functions seem to swap, seemingly out of their own volition?It happens to me like 10 times a day and then I have to press both mouse buttons simultaneously to take things back to normal. Maybe there is some kind of setting or unix trick to specify "Never change Left and Right Mouse Button Functions?"

So impressed, have been on it all evening and still have 3 hours battery remaining However, there is one thing REALLY bugging me. I've searched for over an hour and not got the answer I need... I want to swap the command and function buttons around... I am a web developer, and continuously use keyboard shortcuts such as copy and paste on my numerous devices. I want to be able to press function + c for copy, function + v for paste, function + t for new tab in safari etc. Basically, I want the function key to perform as the command key does!
Now, i've got as far as using keyboard "modifier keys" in preferences to switch around command and control - which is just ONE button off function :-) However, it doesn't let me switch the function of.. function
I selected the auto fill password function in Safari, which works maybe 50% of the time. I believe that I am pressing "update" when I choose a new password.

The "Eject" button on the MBA is supposed to used when a SuperDrive is connected, to eject the CD/DVD. But to many of us who don't use the SuperDrive, that function is useless and the key is wasted. I am wondering, could we somehow set it to work with other external devices like external hdd, USB drives, etc.? i.e., instead of going right-click on the device and then selecting "Eject ABC" before unplugging, simply click the device (on desktop), then press that little Eject button on your keyboard.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI got a Logitech G5 Refresh mouse, and have had it for allmost 2 years now. I'm a windows man that has just turned in to OS X about 14 days ago, s� still have a very lot to learn..
But the thing is, that i was used to - in Windows, that i could browse forward and backwards with the 2 buttons placed close to my thumb on the mouse, instead of the browser/applications forward and backwards buttons..
Is there a way to do so in OS X? I've looked in Preferences, but i did'nt really find anything useful..
the whole purpose for purchasing the Mighty Mouse was that it worked so well with the Mac and made everything so natural.
the new mouse seems to remove this extremely useful feature.
Can anyone tell me if there is some multi-touch capability in the new mouse that interfaces with Expose.
If not, then this mouse is worthless until Apple puts the feature back in - buttons on the side again or not.
If you use the new mouse, you cannot use expose without having to reach over your keyboard.
Whenever I move the mouse near the top left of a open window, it minimizes. It seemed to only happen recently as well. Any way to turn off this function?

I just did a restart. I have done them several times before with no problem. This time I lost the swipe function on my mouse. Everything else works. If I right click and click "back", that works. My battery is ok. My IMAC is only 60 days old.

I have carpal tunnel syndrome that is aggravated by two much mouse clicking. On the PC there is software that will click the mouse automatically when you hover over something. Does anyone know of a mac version, I've been scouring the internet but cant find one.

View 7 Replies View RelatedThis is fantastic! Say if you have more than one tab open in safari and you press quit. You know that little box comes up "are you sure you want to quit?" I just discovered that wherever the mouse is on the screen it will move to the quit button, so you don't have to move the mouse to click it. I believe this is the case for other things, empty the trash etc. Its only safari. Have 2 tabs open. Hit command Q.

Whether the Orochi is plugged in via USB or Bluetooth, it will not automatically switch between my customized Profiles when I launch the associated programs. The "Auto Switch" radio box is checked for the Profiles in question. I also find that macros I've set up often disappear. Some stay in place, but others consistently vanish.

Unfortunately, all vendors are out-of-stock of this item, and the manufacturer has stopped making it! But...is this REALLY a requirement for the iBook? Can't you also use a two-button USB mouse with the iBook?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had issues with this before but now I can't seem to get the scroll button to work for any longer than 10 minutes or so. I have used clean cloth or mousepad to work button so that it works and used spray can air to clean out still...only works for a short time before it stops scrolling up or down. If anyone else has had this issue and solved it, can you let me know how to fix mine? I am feeling like this thing is a piece of junk right now.

recently, my mouse has been having a lot of trouble holding its "click". By this I mean when I, for example, attempt to drag a file folder to folder or even drag a window around, it loses the "hold" and usually ends up dropping the file and clicking something else. Oftentimes if i right click hold it will lose the hold and select something else in the menu.Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be? I'm not certain that it is a hardware problem either, if maybe it is something to do with my iMac itself?
