Jun 14, 2008I was recently on the alltel website trying to preview ringbacks for my phone and when I try to listen to the audio, a little box pops up saying that it "has content of MIME type �application/x-mplayer2�. Because you don�t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content can�t be displayed."
I downloaded the flip4mac WMV to see if that would help and there's still no change. I then went into system preferences, under quicktime and in the advanced setting I made sure that streaming, video, audio, MPEG, MP3, and miscellaneous were all checked and enabled (this being under MIME settings). Still I'm not able to preview the ringback audio on alltel's website. Is there something else that I may not be doing right?

Mac Pro :: Video Card Overheating Error In XP Via BootCamp?
Jan 12, 2009I have a Mac pro 2x2.66 with 5GB running 10.5.5. When I first bought my mac one of the things that helped me ditch the PC world was my ability to install bootcamp/parallels and XP so that I could play games when I wanted to. This worked really well at first and I loved every minute of CoD4 (for the PC) but lately (has been at least a year since I have played) when I reboot into XP (via bootcamp) I launch the game and the entire system locks up or the game crashes due to an error from the video card overheating. My first thought was dust that had built up over time but I checked and the inside of the mac is still quite clean. I tried to clean what I could and the holes over the case fan and the video card dont seem to have any dust on them. Also FWIW I upgraded the video card when I bought it to the Radeon X1900.

Feb 5, 2010So I bought a Sony Bloggie camera, and sprang for the extra $20 for the 360 video recording attachment. So sony touts on their website how great this camera and their software plays with Mac and PC, the truth is only the mobile dumbed down version of their software works on a Mac. The full version is PC only. unfortunately the full version is needed in order to convert and watch videos shot with the 360 attachment.
Fine no problem thats why man invented VMWARE. So I install the software on my windows XP virtual machine with XP sp3. The software converts the video but whenever I try to watch it the thing crashes and I get that report error to microsoft message. So my question is, are there any alternatives I can use preferably on Mac which will play the 360 video? I know a lot of websites have 360 virtual tour videos embedded.

Jun 3, 2012I've got a few-months-old Mac mini hooked up to an older Apple Cinema display (model A1081). When I try to play a TV show purchased from iTunes that's in HD or HD-SD format, I get the following error (and no video): This movie can be played only on displays that support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). Any way around this, or am I just stuck because this monitor is "old"?

Final Cut Pro X :: Video Won't Share / Rendering Error -50
Jun 1, 2014So ive been having alot of trouble with rendering a 6 minute video on Final Cut Pro X.
I go to file, share, and use HD 1080p, the video gets about 25% through when this error comes ups:
and then when i click on 'details' this comes up:
Ive looked up this problem and I cannot find a solution, I've tried doing whatever i can think of like copy and pasting it all into a different project and trying that, creating a new event and pasting it into a project there, ive tried turning off App Nap too.
Also, all throughout editing this actual video i kept running out of disk space and alot of errors would come up, so when this error came up i thought it might be that and i deleted alot of things i didnt need and cleared out my trash but it hasnt made a difference.

OS X :: Can't Read Every Video DVD - Error Message Involving NTFS-3G
Jun 28, 2010a friend of mine has some problems with her DVD drive.
It does not accept some video DVDs as it seems, but not always the same, that seems to be varying.
Also there is this strange error message, which I can't get my head around, as NTFS-3G should have nothing to do with CDs or DVDs, as they use a completely different and independent file system.
(it's a screenshot of a screenshot by the way.)
She runs Mac OS X 10.5.8 on a 15" Unibody MBP with 2.4GHz and 4GB RAM (early 2009) and has NTFS-3G installed to transfer data onto NTFS formatted drives.
Can anyone give any insight into this?

Software :: Unable To Export Video / Showing Error
Jul 5, 2008I can't seem to export my movie. I'm using the latest iMovie app. Whenever I try to export it, I get an error code -2125, which says "Unable to prepare project for publishing - The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred." I tried re-editing from the material itself. I can't afford to recapture or to redo everything, because it takes so much time. I'm using a Macbook 2.0 Core Duo 1.5 gig ram.

Jul 29, 2009I just registered and just made a video, which I tried to upload directly to Youtube from the "Share" tab in my iMovie program. It appeared to work at first, but keeps saying "An error occurred" and nothing more.
Nothing else happens. The video never uploads. I need to find out why. Btw, I use Mac OS X version 10.5.6. Bought the computer back in March. Would appreciate some help.

I've tried every tip on the web including, reducing the encoding quality & reducing the burn speed and de-install and re-install iDVD, but still manage to get the same message 'Encoding Video - There was an error during movie encoding' after having waited an hour for it to encode.I'm using iDVD '08 Vir.7.0.1 on a MacBook (10.5.8) with over 20GB of free space and 1GB of memory.The .avi file is 500mb in size.I've tried saving as a Video_TS folder rather than directly to a DVD, but still get the same error.
