I have a few .wma movie files that I have created in (the horrible) "Windows Live Movie maker".
I wanted to be able to play these files on my iTunes, so I foolishly purchased QuickTime Pro after reading the description. "QuickTime 7 Pro can convert your media to different formats, so you can watch a movie or video on your iPhone, iPod, and Apple TV..". But it refuses to open any .wma files so that I can convert them. I keep getting the error message #2048. I read somewhere that installing new codecs might help...?
I've ripped my hair so much I have bald spots and they are growing by the minute

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had this problem quite a while now:When I open an .avi file it automatically opens using QuickTime. I'd like that because it's the best player for Apple. The problem is however that I can only hear the sound, there's no image/video.I use 10.7.2. (now updating to 10.7.3), but it already did this before I had OSX Lion installed. If I search for new updates it doesn't come up with an update for QuickTime.Any other player works (although VLC's the only one I tried so far).

I keep getting "Open error 18446744073709551594: “Unknown error: -22”" when trying to repair disk permissions. When I boot in recovery mode and try to repair the disk I get the message that the disk can't be repaired that I should back up my files and reformat. Since I hace been hearing about the Flashback trojan I am not sure if it is because my Mac is infected or simply because I somehow messed up with my HD. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Will it be any good to reinstall Lion? Is there any way of avoiding reformatting?

I know that there are most likely a lot of these threads around, but I feel like I've tried about everything. This all happened this morning when I was about to open my itunes. It wouldn't open, instead an error popped up saying that it quit unexpectedly.

I've tried EVERYTHING (including reinstall different kinds of versions of QT) and have googled for hours... The most common answer is this: [URL] but it doesn't help either.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI can't export a certain project to QuickTime in iMovie, but I can export it to other formats. The iMovie error message is: The movie could not be exported because an error occurred. (Error = -5000)
What's strange is that I was exporting this project to QuickTime yesterday, made some changes and tried to export again, and no luck? Yet it'll export to mv4 etc. I repaired permissions etc, and still no luck. I'm assuming it's related to permissions, but I have no idea where to start.
I am trying to export a snapshot from a QT Pro move and I keep getting error 11005.

With Quicktime X player, I read that performance for viewing content on the web would be faster - similar to iPhone. I understood that I can view streamed video - speeding up the experience of watching videos from various websites.
When will MobileMe enable this streaming so I can view my videos on MobileMe using the new client? Is it a matter of me to upgrade my videos that I post to the web site or do we need to wait till MobileMe service upgrades to this capability?
How would I go about watching a .rar video using Quicktime? Or is there another program I should use?

View 11 Replies View RelatedAs the title says, Quicktime is not showing video, just audio. I have 7.6 and searched for updates but saw nothing. Speaking of updates; updates that require me to restart freeze up when items are being installed. This has happened twice now. The first day I got my MBP (1/21/09) and tonight.
