It started about a week ago. I dunno if it's a problem with Flash or what. But any time I try to open a video on sites such as gizmodo, engadget, youtube, or full episodes from like [URL]. whichever browser I attempt to open it with just completely crashes. This has been getting worse and worse and now it literally happens 100% of the time.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both browsers multiple times to no avail. I am REALLY dreading reinstalling my entire OS. Is there a way I can completely eliminate flash from my computer? Then I can manually download it from Adobe directly and see if that works.
So I dowloaded some tv episodes on amazon.com through their instant video option and then realized that they cannot be downloaded onto to a mac. The amazon unbox feauture (that lets you do it on a PC) is not compatible with macs. Does anyone know a way I can downolad the files onto a mac??

Done some research on Yahoo Messenger for Mac and Skype for Mac and both say that can do video / audio chat with their Windows counterparts. However, it appears there are still problems. Any users out there can give me some feedback on their audio / video performance.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAlright so I get to class, open up my 2010 Macbook Pro 15'(fully loaded). I close VLC to save on battery life and then I end up with the screen in the pictures below. I forced restart, and same problem. My guess is that when I closed VLC it turned back to the Integrated Video Card. Now I can't start the computer. What does everyone think? I'm most likely taking to Apple Store tonight. How long does it normally take Apple to fix issues like this? [URL:...]

View 1 Replies View RelatedToday Safari started to crash when I go to http://legendas.tv/ I tried to reset Safari, even restarted my computer, but it happens again. I've tested a few other sites, but only this one gets me the problem. The Problem Report says Flash Player Plug-In could have caused the problem.

Foe the past week Safari has been "quitting unexpectedly while using the .RaisedPanelDoors.tmp plugin"Â

I've tried for hours to find this plugin on the computer somewhere, but I cannot find it. it doesn't exist, or at least appear, in this path as noted in the error report.Â

Ever time I try to download anything from the web Safari crashes and closes down, it even crashed this morning when I tried to download an update for it. Is there a problem with Safari or should I check for other problems . Someone told me to download Fiefox but I couldn't even do that, I'm sorry I actually bought this computr, I'm not the greatest with computers but never had so many problems with the other systems.

View 10 Replies View RelatedGot a hairy one here that I've been working around for ages.....perhaps someone has a real fix for me. If I try to print (or save as a PDF) from a particular web site with THEIR Java "print" button on the web page, Safari crashes. Upon restart of Safari all is well. It stays ok until I re boot/restart the computer. Then the same thing happens. After the first crash of Safari everthing is a-ok. The print function from the Safari menu does NOT crash - it works all the time. sam P.S. Intel box with Safari 4.0.4 and OS X 10.6.2.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been using my new Macbook Air for a while, and lately Safari starts to crash frequently, twice a day or more. I've read some earlier posts and have checked my Internet Plugins, as listed below, being not so sure about which to delete. I have however already deleted one belonging to PowerMac as someone said.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had a lot of issues with Adobe Flash Player causing grief in Safari, and now it is causing it to crash. I am on a clean installation of OS X (just formatted and reinstalled yesterday).
I should point out that I use Adobe CS4 and have Flash CS4 installed. Maybe that is causing a conflict?
It happens about once a day now with Safari. Sometimes it causes my MBP to crash. I know all the controversy about Apple and Flash, but is it this common? I do have the latest versions of Flash and Safari, but is the problem this ubiquitous or is there probably something I'm doing wrong with my 1 year old 13" MBP (4 GB RAM, 2.26 Ghz, 250GB)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a mac mini G4 with Mac OSX 10.4.11. I have Safari 3.2.1 and Mac Preview version 3.0.9. Beginning last week when I attempt to print a page or article from online using Safari and Firefox the browser crashes. Likewise, when I attempt to print from a PDF file loaded in Mac Preview, the file crashes. I thought it was a printer issue until I realized that I can print Word documents without issue. I have had no problems with printing in the past, but now I do for no good reason. It is curious that printing PDFs and webpages does not work, but printing Word documents does.

For the past week my safari has refused to open and continue to crash each time I tried to open it. In fact, I am using firefox to send this message because I could simply not use safari. Whenever I click to open it, a small window pops up with the following computer jargon:

Path: /Users/USER/Desktop/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari

If I reset Safari, it will often crash if TOP SITES is the first window Safari reopens with.
The crash may also be aggravated by my attempt to type something in the search bar, right after I reset.
I have now set Safari to open with a homepage, and now I can reset Safari at will and it no longer crashes after a reset.

I have a macbook pro and I have the OS X lion installed with all the latest updates to Safari etc. Lately my browsers have been acting up. Â
While I can access a lot of websites on my Safari there are other sites which do not load and I get the spinning beach ball before Safari crashes. My Safari also seems to take longer to load. Â
I have the latest Firefox 12 installed. When that starts up on the home page it crashes straight away after the obligatory spinning beach ball. I tried to trouble shoot Firefox but it wouldn't even open in safe mode before it crashed. Â
I also have Opera which doesn't even start up. So I uninstalled and upgraded to Opera Next. It doesn't even start up! Â
I have checked for plug in issues. I have up to date adobe flash player and java - unless there is some issue there. I also checked my DNS and it seemed clean of trojans. But I could or may have overlooked something. Â
I did use 'onyx' to clean my files but the trouble began before I used it. So now I am at a loss to understand why I am having problems with my browsers. Â
I'm not very technical but I have done my best to follow various threads around here to dismiss obvious causes. Â

It doesn't seem to matter what browser I'm using, but whenever I attempt to upload a file via a browser it crashes.Â
It doesn't matter what site it is, but whenever I click an "upload" link that would normally result in a Finder window popping up to allow me to browse for a file, then the browser crashes on me.Â

I would like to find a LAN instant messenger for ppc machines.
I tried powerpop, but this one crashes everytime. After, i tried quickpopup, which is working. The only problem is when sending messages, it makes a new window and...
So, i've not found a LAN instant messenger yet. Could someone have an idea? I don't and won't use leopard.
So what is the best one? It would be nice to hear why it's best.
