I updated the to the New Adobe Flash last night with hardware excel, and it has made my safari crash a lot. How do I go about downgrading it to 10.0 and not 10.1
View 4 RepliesI updated Adobe Flash on my Mac and now my solitaire app won't open. Message just says 'unable to open' -600. I tried to reinstall Full Deck Solitaire, but the app store says it is already installed, so I can't do it that way.

It happens about once a day now with Safari. Sometimes it causes my MBP to crash. I know all the controversy about Apple and Flash, but is it this common? I do have the latest versions of Flash and Safari, but is the problem this ubiquitous or is there probably something I'm doing wrong with my 1 year old 13" MBP (4 GB RAM, 2.26 Ghz, 250GB)

Curious though, this doesn't occur on my other laptop so I know it's not bandwidth issues. I am watching office at full screen, half way into it the video starts to stutter bad. I don't mind the cpu fans going full speed, or the heat, because that's the nature, however I can't stand the stuttering. Has anyone had experience in Revision 1 and watching hulu and getting it not to stutter half way into the episode?By the way nothing else is opened and/or running. Just safari. I also installed Flash 10 and updated the MBA completely with 3.2 safari

I can use “flash player” in “chrome” but not in “safari” I've gone to the “adobe” site where it said if “adobe” is installed on your computer "x" will be displayed in this box or if it's not installed "x" will be displayed, in both instances the box was blank. I'm extremely frustrated, I'd like to “safari” but would also like to use “adobe flash player”.

I installed adobe flash player 9.0 extension for safari on my Mac OS X Lion system. The installation went well. But the web page that needs it complains that the extension is being blocked by my browser. I can't figure out why this is happeneing. I'm not intentionally blocking any extensions to Safari.

Good morning, I recently updated my software via Software Update yesterday, and I noticed that I can no longer play Flash videos in Safari. I just get the generic lego block and it says that Flash unexpectedly quit. I'm running the most recent Safai and Snow Leopard, and have included a screenshot of the updates that I ran yesterday. I also tried to run Camino and FireFox, but they just quit when I get to a Flash video. I also tried to install the most recent Flash player, and also the newer beta Flash player, but none seem to work. Anybody know of any fixes? Do I have to reinstall Snow Leopard?

I should point out that I use Adobe CS4 and have Flash CS4 installed. Maybe that is causing a conflict?
Cannot submit reports to apple either. I uninstalled the plugin and re-installed it from an Adobe support page. Problem continues.

None of the relevant files are present, and the Adobe diagnostic page shows only empty boxes where the Flash version should be listed. I am running Safari 5.1.5 on Lion 10.7.3. For about a year now, I have been having trouble running Adobe Flash Player to view videos. I can verify that I have Flash Player 11.2.202.235 installed, but on some (not all) website, most notably [URL] I just get a button to "Get Adobe Flash Player" even though I already have it. Flash-based ads work fine, it's really just for videos. I end up having to watch the non-working videos on Chrome where they work fine.

Just upgraded to Lion 10.7.4, then the video stopped playing in Safari. Upgraded Safari, then installed the latest Flash player, V. 11.2.202.235. Also have the latest graphic card drivers. I am beginning to remember the nightmares we used to have when we upgraded Windows. I don't want to change anything any more. Apple is beginning to suck. I only went to Lion because Apple forced me because of iCloud. MANY REGRETS NOW.

Google Earth plugin in Safari started to keep crashing after I installed Adobe Flash Player 11.2. The plugin works fine in other browsers (Firefox, Opera, and Google Chrome).The same occurs at home,too.I use Mac Pro at work and iMac at home. Both are on OSX10.7.3, Lion.

I updated my Adobe per a box coming up as usual on my screen saying a new update was available. I was afraid this issue might have been becuase I might have closed my computer prior to it finishing. However, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the entire Adobe. However when trying to open websites that link to a pdf file, it will not open. It shows a blank screen. Adobe PDF files that are saved to my computer open fine in Adobe, but not through websites. Is this a part of that virus that supposedly happened two weeks ago- or is this just a coincidence.

My year old MBP is at the stage where it starts to slow down [most of the time in Safari/Firefox], the beachball appears [and doesn't go away], and then I have to forcefully restart the computer (no other apps will work after this). Only things I do/downloaded for my MBP are internet, MS office, Skype, and the apps that came with the MBP. So if Flash is causing the problems, what can I do? Reinstall it? I've never seen two browsers crash consistently, I would imagine it has to be Flash. Thoughts [as to what it could be if it isn't Flash]?

The part# is MB560Z/A. It's an Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT, but it's the 2006 version with EFI32 firmware (or do i call it BIOS or ROM?) and won't work with the 2008 Mac Pro... and of course my dilemma is i want to use it in my 2008 Mac Pro. So is it possible for me to flash it (which i'm pretty sure it is) and more importantly is it easy to do and could someone tell me how (or point me in the direction of simple instructions) of how to go about doing it? Also, I understand there's always some risk doing these type of things, but would the chance of me screwing up the card be considered minimal? Is it easy to restore to the factory default if i want to place it back in a 2006 mac (i have no plans for that, but it'd be nice to know i have that option).

Am unable to uninstall and make a new install of CS3, installer said:

I download then Photoshop CS4 Trial from Adobe. It says too:

For some reason that I can�t explain I am unable to watch any youTube videos on my iMac. I have "click to Flash" installed and can watch flash content on all other sites. When I login to my account at youTube I also need to click to flash but then I get instead of the video, a "go Upgrade". I took this to mean that the flash player needed upgrading so I agreed to download the latest Flash Player and installed it. This has made no difference. I even went so far as to create a new YouTube account with a different e-mail address but nothing helps. Can anyone please give me some advice what I can do or try to get to watch the YouTube videos?
This problem is only when I use Safari. Using Firefox I can watch youTube.

I recently removed Flashback Malware from my computer. I used Flashback Remover [URL] to detect, quarantine and delete the malware. I've since tried to reinstall Flash, but to no avail. I've tried downloading it from the adobe site directly, then installing it. It says the install was successful, but when I go to a site that uses flash, I'm directed to download flash.
Before I found the malware on my computer, I tried moving my plug-ins ("/library/Internet Plug-Ins" and "~/library/Internet Plug-Ins") to a separate file on my desktop to test which ones may be corrupt. Maybe this changed the path or the file for my plug-ins? I don't know, but I'd really like some help. All of my software is up to date, according to Software Update.

I've never really had a problem with my macbook, but for the last two weeks or so, I can't watch any Flash videos like YouTube. It'll work for about fifteen or so seconds and then the whole thing will start skipping and the whole computer acts choppy. Firefox (or Safari) CPU usage spikes, and the computer gets really hot. Then I'll have to wait for a minute or so for the macbook to cool off before I can use it. I've tried downgrading from Flash 10 to Flash 9 -- no better.
