Have latest Safari version - when I try to reply to a message or forward a message, I get an error message that the webpage can't be displayed. It's the message I was trying to forward or send a reply.

When I try to reply to or forward an email message, there is no longer a send button. I have to use Shift/Command/D to send messages now. How can I get the send button back?

I just installed Safari 3.2.1 and find that I have no operable Back- Forward browse feature.
The buttons are there but always grayed out as if no previous page existed. Too, when I right click on a web page I no longer get "back" as a default. It comes up "reload" no matter where on the page I click. Finally, when I view History the only link displayed is the page that I am on. To get to a previous page I must select "Earlier Today". I DO NOT have Private Viewing selected.
What gives? This is a primary feature. lacking it makes it very difficult to use the browser.
I cannot drag the back/forward button to toolbar?

How can I disable the (Command + "Left or Right Arrow") Keystroke in Safari that navigates Back and Forward. If I could also disable the (delete) key from navigating back, I would be happy.Â
I edit text with these keystrokes all the time and now that I've upgraded to Lion and Safari 5.1.5 I run into problems with my workflow.Â
I just want (delete) to delete text and (Command + Arrow Key) to select a whole line of text.

It seems to work fine when replying to a unique e-mail for the first time, but upon receiving reply from that person and replying to that 2nd e-mail of his, most of the ribbon icons get grayed-out. I'm trying to sent up an automatic response email in mail rules, the problem is when I filter the email I want to respond to, I don't get the option to send a response to the "Reply-To" field, I can only reply to the "From" field which is no good to me. The mails I receive are booking inquiries generated by an online form so the "From" field is always the same email address not the guest address which is in the "Reply-To" field.

Ichat is working fine but each time I want to send something, a file, it says: waiting for reply (accept) and when my friend accepts, nothing happens ! I've tried on many friends and they all use ichat with a gmail account (like me). Maybe it's because i'm doing it in France ? I use english ichat while they are using french ichat. View 1 Replies View RelatedI do not get any errors that I can't send, Connection doc. indicates all connections are good. Emails just sit in the draft box. Also, when typing, my space bar forwards me to the bottom of the email field in Mac Mail, or the bottom of the web page in Safari. Additionally, the cursor doesn't move when using the space bar, but the space is there. When I start typing after this, sometimes my typing is backwards, it actually starts typing right to left, this also happens in Safari, but not always. The delete key sometimes highlights the text, and then, in Safari only, the program quits. I had issues long ago with the version of MS office (2003) and OSX 10.3, but I don't remember what resolved this, I think it had something to do with a plist. This only happens to my main log in. Other log ins seem to be fine.

Yesterday I backed up the library on my mac (running 10.4.11) and then discovered that the reply button does not work on the email, also the reply all and send button (forward button works, but then cant send). I read a thread on your site in 2005 and tried to follow the instructions, deleting the ps files relating to email and retyping in the server and password information but no good. In fact I was unclear exactly what the guy did to solve it. I should say that I can create a new account on the mac and the email works fine, so it might be some problem with the mail boxes but that is a guess.

I am using Microsoft Outlook:Mac 2011 and recently when I reply the original message is not included. This does not happen all the time and does not happen if you right click the message and then click reply. I note this was an issue some time back (2007/8) with Safari 3.0 but cannot find any more references to this problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust bought a new Mac Pro running Mavericks. Migrated my life from my old Mac Pro (early 2008) running Mountain Lion. That's a whole other story, but my problem now is that Mail does not delete attachments when I reply to a message that contained the attachments. This is new to me, so I wasn't aware of it until I started getting nasty messages from my Internet provider telling me that I had exceeded the maximum allowable message size. When a client sent me a 10MB document to review and edit, I would reply and attach the edited document to the reply, not knowing that the original 10MB file was still there (down at the bottom of a sometimes lengthy message).Â
The old attachment can be manually deleted in the Message tab, but I can't find anything in Preferences or anywhere else that allows me to turn that feature off forever.Â

I'm having a NAT issue while sharing my internet via ethernet to my xbox360. I've opened the required ports except for 88 in my router because it uses that for services (friggin belkin). I'm still getting a strict NAT on my xbox and I should have a Moderate NAT if I have every port but 88 open. I know that Tiger had a setting for port forwarding in system preferences, but for the life of me I cant find it in snow leopard. Does anyone know how I could forward the necessary ports?

I just started using Entourage and have noticed that the program shrinks previous text in the same e-mail thread in a few of my e-mails, but not all. Has anyone come across this and/or know if there is a remedy?

Instead of the image I get <pastedGraphic.tiff> or <image001.png> or <ATT00108.gif>. Any new images (from my new signature lines) are ok. If I Forward a message all these original images are intact and get forwarded, so the problem is in the Reply function.

We have developed an application which sends HTML email to all users. Users will have either Microsoft outlook for windows or Entourage 2008 in MAC. Our HTML template contains <table> tags and <div> tags with Cascading Style sheets. We also use a div text with a unique id and styles with border to look as if it is a text box and allow users to enter values into the div tag and when they reply, we have an application which reads the html file from outlook and searches for the div tag and inserts the value to the db. Both the users can able to view the email properly. But, when the Entourage users click on Reply to enter values, they do not see any styles and could not able to identify the div tag to input their values.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my html signature in the notorious apple mail software. When I reply/forward to some messages, my email signature gets reformatted and is totally ruined. It is just the text, the font and the size are affected. The actual layout remains in tact. About 6 months ago I perfected a HTML email signature after many tests with PC's and other mail recipients. It worked pretty flawlessly to be honest except for the image not displaying on some peoples computers but this is to be expected.Â
We have now got new apple macs running lion. I have now set up the signatures again (using the same web archive file from the last signature) and for the majority of emails we send out works fine however there are a few emails (all from the same company) that display the signature with times new roman and in about 16pt! When the html I've sent up should be verdana 12pt.Â
Again this can happen, but what is odd is that if I hit reply or forward to this message my signature (which I've told it be place above replied text) retains this bad formatting and my signature is ruined. Before, even if someone didnt view my signature correct, and I replied to the email my new signature at the top of the message would still be perfect. Just to point out, I created this email sig in dreamweaver, saved as a webarchive file and imported it that way.Also like I said this didnt happen pre the new computer. Â

A long time ago, while in Mail I set up an auto reply to be sent to senders when I am away from my laptop. Ever since, I have tried to find a way to disable it and CANNOT!Now that I'm receiving product order confirmations from Amazon vendors, my computer (my Mail application) send out an auto message saying the I'm away and will answer them as soon as I can. Well, this feature has caused Amazon to freeze all emails between me and vendors because my auto message has exceeded their limits on email traffic between vender and buyer. How, PLEASE, can I stop, disable, get rid of, this auto message from ever going out again. Friends have told me that this auto message of mine is annoying. I detest it, but I cannot disable it from where I sit.Â
