I just started using Entourage and have noticed that the program shrinks previous text in the same e-mail thread in a few of my e-mails, but not all. Has anyone come across this and/or know if there is a remedy?

I've been trying to figure out how to set up the Entourage Mail app to auto-reply emails sent to my account. I'm going on vacation in like, a day, and want the app to automatically send a "out-of-office" reply. Anyone know how to do this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have developed an application which sends HTML email to all users. Users will have either Microsoft outlook for windows or Entourage 2008 in MAC. Our HTML template contains <table> tags and <div> tags with Cascading Style sheets. We also use a div text with a unique id and styles with border to look as if it is a text box and allow users to enter values into the div tag and when they reply, we have an application which reads the html file from outlook and searches for the div tag and inserts the value to the db. Both the users can able to view the email properly. But, when the Entourage users click on Reply to enter values, they do not see any styles and could not able to identify the div tag to input their values.

From: <person@company.co.uk>
That's with greater than and less than character at the start and end of it. It messes up the reply address.
When I reply to one of these emails Mail.app sets the "To:" field to be:
"person@company.co.uk> <person@company.co.uk" <person@company.co.uk>
When it should just be:
To: person@company.co.uk
Anybody get this behaviour?
Incidentally, you can search for these kinds of simple emails in Mail.app by searching in "All Mailboxes"/"From" for:
> <
That's greater than, space, less than.
When I send a PDF to a windows user, the PDF shrinks. I'm not talking about file size, but when they open the document, it's 50-75% of the original size and hard to read.
On my computer everything looks fine. I'm not using any filters to reduce file size.

Ever since I installed the latest Office 2008 update (moving Entourage up to v12.2.7), Entourage has crashed at least once a day when I open an unread e-mail. Seems like it happens more often when there are images embedded in the e-mail, like when someone has one in their signature, but I honestly can't tell what the rhyme or reason is for it.

However I am hoping someone can tell me how to get rid of old or inaccurate email addresses that come up in Entourage (Office 2004) when you begin to type in the first name of an addressee in a new email.
Sometimes you get things wrong, and the wretched thing never seems to go away! I don't know where the Entourage system gets it from, because I have attempted to delete the dud email addresses from all the obvious places.
Few days I have the same problem - I cannot reply to anyone's e-mail!
All the time I got the same warning that my smtp outgoing server is not good. But I checked it few times - everything is ok!
And I can compose new e-mail (with any adress) and everything is working fine!
Yesterday I backed up the library on my mac (running 10.4.11) and then discovered that the reply button does not work on the email, also the reply all and send button (forward button works, but then cant send). I read a thread on your site in 2005 and tried to follow the instructions, deleting the ps files relating to email and retyping in the server and password information but no good. In fact I was unclear exactly what the guy did to solve it. I should say that I can create a new account on the mac and the email works fine, so it might be some problem with the mail boxes but that is a guess.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I use Entourage 08 and forward a message, the receiver always gets this text as centered. I use First Class Client as my server and cannot find any options to change this in it's preferences. Also are there settings to normalize all of the text from multiple forwarded messages to the same font size and style? When I got to print out an e-mail it ends up being 20 pages long and some font is 20pt and some is 11pt. It depends on what the original sender is using for their font and style.

Every now and again entourage does not send out an email, even though the email appears in 'sent items'. we know the mail has not been sent because it does not show in the microsoft exchange mail log, mail that has been genuinely sent does appear here. the server is exchange 2008 .

I want to import into Entourage the e-mail from a backup of the disk. I know how to import mail into Entourage from other e-mail programs and I know how to import mail into Entourage from an archive created by exporting from Entourage, but I cannot figure out how to import from a backup of the folders under the "/Users/(username)/Documents/Microsoft User Data" folder, under which is where Entourage stores mail.
I am in the UK and use google mail, it's been fine for ages but I hardly ever send emails. So today I needed to and I can't! I can send emails from google mail online fine, but my Mac Mail refuses to and I have installed Entourage 08 tonight, updated it and again it fails to send, I have reset my router, set everything to IMAP from POP, deleted and created new email accounts in each programme but STILL neither will send emails!
I am begining to wonder if Google Mail is in fact poo as it seems to cause many problems for people?
I just got entourage for my IMac. I am trying to import my work email (microsoft exchange server). I inputted the information correctly, because all of my folders are now showing. But none of my mail is loading. I am guessing the size is to big? I emptied the cache, and that did nothing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm not able to see images in emails, even after clicking 'Download Images'. I am using Entourage 2004 w/ OS X 10.5.8, on a PowerBook G4. I have installed the latest Office and Mac updates. I am able to see the images correctly when using my other Mac (PowerPC G5, OS X 10.5.8), which has Entourage 2008. I've also tested by using Outlook and OWA, which I am able to see the images in the email so I don't believe it is a GPO issue.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI use IMAP email so that all folders are based on a server, rather than on my computer (learnt the hard way when my computer crashed and I lost everything). Today when I went to save an email in a folder on entourage, entourage crashed and when I reloaded the app the folder had gone. I tried again with another email and another folder and the same thing happened. When I log on to my email account using the providers webmail service I can see that the folder is still there, it just won't show up in entourage.

Why does the ribbon part of the Reply window get grayed-out when replying to the same person for the 2nd time? It seems to work fine when replying to a unique e-mail for the first time, but upon receiving reply from that person and replying to that 2nd e-mail of his, most of the ribbon icons get grayed-out. Why? I've attached two screenshots for your reference - the first one with non-grayed-out icons, and the second one with greyed-out ones.
