When I try to reply to or forward an email message, there is no longer a send button. I have to use Shift/Command/D to send messages now. How can I get the send button back?

I do not get any errors that I can't send, Connection doc. indicates all connections are good. Emails just sit in the draft box. Also, when typing, my space bar forwards me to the bottom of the email field in Mac Mail, or the bottom of the web page in Safari. Additionally, the cursor doesn't move when using the space bar, but the space is there. When I start typing after this, sometimes my typing is backwards, it actually starts typing right to left, this also happens in Safari, but not always. The delete key sometimes highlights the text, and then, in Safari only, the program quits. I had issues long ago with the version of MS office (2003) and OSX 10.3, but I don't remember what resolved this, I think it had something to do with a plist. This only happens to my main log in. Other log ins seem to be fine.

Have latest Safari version - when I try to reply to a message or forward a message, I get an error message that the webpage can't be displayed. It's the message I was trying to forward or send a reply.

Yesterday I backed up the library on my mac (running 10.4.11) and then discovered that the reply button does not work on the email, also the reply all and send button (forward button works, but then cant send). I read a thread on your site in 2005 and tried to follow the instructions, deleting the ps files relating to email and retyping in the server and password information but no good. In fact I was unclear exactly what the guy did to solve it. I should say that I can create a new account on the mac and the email works fine, so it might be some problem with the mail boxes but that is a guess.

I just switched from Oultook 2011 to Lion Mail. I have 2 different accounts, Office 365/Exchange 2010 and iCloud. I noticed that when I reply to any message while is full screen mode, the reply icon is not showing up. The reply icon is the curved arrow pointing left for replies.

Safari default appearance includes a plus sign tab beside the address bar to be used to save bookmarks.Â
My plus sign disappears. Â
But it reappears when I swap focus to another application. Of course, if another application has focus I don't have immediate access to click the plus sign.Â
If I click where the plus sign is supposed to be I it gives me the option to save the bookmark but sometimes the file list shows and sometimes the file list does not show. Â
I have applied all availible Safari updates, including recently using MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.8.dmg.Â
I thought about re-installing Safari but that is not a quick/easy process. Currently using Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and Safari 5.0.5 (6533.21.1)

I'm trying to buy more episodes for a show (Supernatural S9 if it makes any difference) and I try to click the SD button, but it doesn't change anything. I've only bought a few episodes of this show separately instead of a season pass because I've already seen several episodes, therefore I can't download them from cloud. the HD button next to the title and season of the show disappears after clicking the button, but nothing else changes. I tried signing out of my account and trying it on my sister's, and the switch between them worked perfectly fine? could this be an error with my account? I've tried restarting iTunes and my laptop, and nothing is changing.

For some blasted reason the send button on Mail keeps getting greyed out. I try resetting from time machine backups. It will work for a few messages then become greyed out again.
When I used the Connection Doctor everything checks out as fine. My SMTP information is correct. As it has always worked in the past, works in Outlook, works in Entourage and cross checks as correct by multiple online sources and the ISP's customer service.
I have also repaired permissions.
Why would this button ever be designed to grey out in the first place? An error message after clicking would be better then a button that give no information at all.
Unfortunately this is a customers computer so I can't just swing by to check some more. The above listed steps are ones I went through before performing a time machine restore. Which worked for a while then the same problem occurred. Another Time Machine restore fixed it. Now the customer is having the same problem so I am trying to find another solution.
I can receive mail without problems, and reply without problems, but when I try to compose and send a new outgoing email, I cannot find the send button, unless I go to the main tray in mail and click send. The icon does not show up in the toolbar options.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI press the power button to put the screen of my iPod to sleep and nothing happens, I CAN, however, use the power button to turn off the iPod. It just won't go into sleep mode with the power button. It will still go into sleep mode if I wait long enough.
-The button still works, just not for sleep mode. Actions taken- I've reset all the settings, and erased all content and settings. I'm on a dialup connection so no software updates are possible at this time, but still suggest them and I'll get them later...

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was mucking around, downloading Stationary Pack, etc., then removed to trash, then decided to retrieve it all out of trash again.. and somehow in the process, my mail will no longer SEND. I can receive mail, but cannot send mail.. the send button remains dim and will not "click" to send anything. I don't know if I inadvertently trashed some major mail execution file or what? I have all my stationary back the way it was, but my mail application (the sending part of it) no longer works. I'm not getting any error messages, it's not a server problem..I think I trashed something important.. a major function.

It seems to work fine when replying to a unique e-mail for the first time, but upon receiving reply from that person and replying to that 2nd e-mail of his, most of the ribbon icons get grayed-out. I'm trying to sent up an automatic response email in mail rules, the problem is when I filter the email I want to respond to, I don't get the option to send a response to the "Reply-To" field, I can only reply to the "From" field which is no good to me. The mails I receive are booking inquiries generated by an online form so the "From" field is always the same email address not the guest address which is in the "Reply-To" field.
