Now, I really need to do it, but the DVD in question won't be full after the first recording...
how can one use 'DIsk Utility' to burn a multi session CD or DVD with personal documents?
I've found many tutorials over the internet, but they cover old version of OSX. I presume that with OS X Lion things might be different?

We see the login prompt interface of Lion, but can't even move mouse cursor.Keyboard's inactive too because system is frozen.So you must force a shutdown.And it's a loop-freezes. (it's a 5-times boot to succeed - average) I've tried several times: P-Ram reset, repair the permissions of Macintosh HD with latest Lion recovery & from an external boot too.None of this has solved this issue. OS X :: Command+tab Switching Stops Functioning / Shortcuts Stops Working
Nov 22, 2009On a day-to-day basis I run: Adobe PS, INDD, and AI, Microsoft Entourage, Firefox and iTunes. Just recently, after an upgrade to Leopard, I added Things and Simplify Media to the list.The problem that happens before (on Tiger) and now (on Leopard) is command+tab switching stops functioning and Expose hot corners and shortcuts stop working.
I'm pretty sure this isn't a Finder crash because before, on Tiger, I could quit+restart Firefox and everything would be back to normal. Almost as if some shortcut had causes the system to act differently or there was some app dissonance?
But now, with Leopard, nothing I quit will cause these two features to act properly until I do a restart. Both features (command+tab switching and expose) are very necessary for my work flow. I have checked SysPref to make sure keyboard shortcuts are default and Univeral Access to make sure assisted devices is turned off.

May 6, 20121. Lion's (10.7.3) user interface becomes nonresponsive/'freezes': trackpad cursor moves, keyboard can be used for typing, BUT gestures stop working and "Dock" is not responding (it is hidden automatically).
2. Tere are frequent "nfs server localhost:/5pBJvp-jULTJrbfF3Hpvc5: not responding nfs server localhost:/5pBJvp-jULTJrbfF3Hpvc5: is alive again" error messages in Terminal while I am running 'find' command.
These error messages seem to be correlated witth the user interface 'freezes'.

Jul 4, 2012I have massive problems with Mail. I use mail at work and have 3 accounts running:
1. Mac. mail account
2. Gmail mail account
3. Exchange Server
I have quite a few folders in my accounts where I have to archive my emails to. Often very often or lets say annoyingly too often mail stops working.
- Stops receiving emails
- Emails I have put away in folders disappear in my inbox again
- If I try to quite Mail it won't I have to force it and then when I open it again all my emails I was working on open again even so I have sent them already. Also all the emails I have folded away are back in my inbox.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Kernel Panic When Watching Videos (and Other Random Times)?
Mar 27, 2012I'm aware of the Airport issue mentioned on these forums (and have tried the kext fix for that without any luck). I have KPs when watching 4+ minute long videos on Youtube (have no issue using iMovie for longer videos or watching videos from my own harddrive), sometimes when the screensaver is on or shortly after the computer goes unidle, and sometimes for no apparent reason. I've already had 2-3 KPs in the past 4 hours. This is my first Mac and not at all what I was expecting.
Sometimes the screen will flicker rapidly, other times I will get a black screen, pink screen, or the screen will "glitch" and move halfway to the left (right is now on the left and left on the right). I can sometimes delay the crash if I pause the video (the screen starts to twitch or have "lightning" flashes across parts of it) but it will eventually crash anyway.
I usually use Firefox but have had the same crash in Safari so it's not browser-related as far as I can tell.

Jun 8, 2012My Apple MBP keeps crashing on me multiple times a day. It used to be rare, now it is so frequent, it is easily reproducable. I have tried the Disk Utility and shift+ctrl+option+power btn to reset some unit. but it is not working. Is there a Mac guru that can go through the log and let me know what's wrong? I can't believe Apple makes such crappy products. I fell in love with Apple a couple of years ago and have ended up buying many Apple products, now I have started to hate my MBP I got for almost 3 grand just 2 years ago. May be this is the beginning of the end for Apple, the QA is doing nothing.

May 24, 2012I have to quit Mail and restart it to start getting emails again. Plus all the messages I had deleted come back again and those moved elsewhere are back in the inbox. My company IT says the problem is that they are using an older version of MS Exchange server software and that Apple is not fully compatible.
