I recently downloaded the Sims 3 from amazon onto my computer. It finished downloading and when I went to install it it said "Warning: the following disk images couldn't be opened." Then listed the file, thesims3.dmg and the reason as error -4960.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI keep getting "Open error 18446744073709551594: “Unknown error: -22”" when trying to repair disk permissions. When I boot in recovery mode and try to repair the disk I get the message that the disk can't be repaired that I should back up my files and reformat. Since I hace been hearing about the Flashback trojan I am not sure if it is because my Mac is infected or simply because I somehow messed up with my HD. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Will it be any good to reinstall Lion? Is there any way of avoiding reformatting?

When opening Entourage I received the error 'Could not open that feature. End of file reached' I tried Utility and rebuild. when attempting to rebuild a pane came up stating 'preparing to rebuild 0 of 0' and the pane has been stuck there for 8 hours. Every other office product works though.

I tried to update the overdrive media app from my library. it downloaded a dmg file into my download folder. I could not open this file. There is now a file called "untitled" that appears to be a Logic Project file, however I cannot delete, open, rename, and move it anywhere. When I try to click and drag the file icon, it doesn't allow me to move it anywhere.
When right-click on the file, it pops up the window, but there are only a few options available. I went to "get info" and saw that the file permissions are "unknown". I've tried repairing disk permissions in the disk utility, however the file is still unaccessible.It's not a large file (only 578K), but it would still like to remove it.
