In systems prior to "lion" when I wanted to select and print multiple different imagews per page, I could select the number I desired in "copies per page". Now when I select a number in "Copies per page", I get that number of a single image instead of 1 of each each different image.

We have an HP Photosmart Premium C410.We using both Safari 5.1.2 and Firefox 10.0.We use a network connection from the printer to our MiniMac.We have been unable to get images (photo's) to print with the rest of the web page which is text (the text portion does print.This does not happen on all, but does happen on most web sites we go to.In order to get the image (or photo) to print, we have right click on it and copy it seperatly onto a WP blank.This is a big pain.We would like to be able to get the picture/image to copy/print with the rest of the web page.Would anyone know what might need to be addressed to get this to work properly.

When I view a received e-mail in Mail, it appears as part of a conversation. I want to be able to print single e-mails. In the View menu, 'Organize by Conversation' is checked by default. If I select an e-mail in my inbox, it appears on screen as part of the conversation, but with a gap between individual e-mails*. if I select the particular e-mail in the conversation that I want and go to Print, it prints the whole conversation. If I uncheck 'Organize by Conversation' and select an e-mail in the inbox, it again appears on screen as a part of the conversation, but without a gap between individual e-mails* and if I print, it still prints the whole conversation. * This, too, seems perverse. I would have thought that with 'Organize by Conversation' checked, the conversation should appear onscreen as continuous, whereas it appears with gaps, and, conversely, with 'Organize by Conversation' unchecked it should appear with gaps, whereas in fact it appears without gaps. I mostly use Preview.app (on Lion 10.7.3) to read and annotate relatively large pdf documents (articles, reports, etc.). While working on a given project I tend to have many pdf files open at the same time. I personally would like to have all of the pdfs I use open in a single window, so I have Preview set to "Open all files in one window" (Preferences > General). This setup initially worked very well since it allows me view all of my open documents in the sidebar (similar to tabs in a browser window). The problem is that when I switch from one pdf to another, the position of the pdfs (i.e., the page I was on when I switched to another pdf) is not preserved. This seemingly defeats the purpose of having this functionality in Preview,is this the intended behavior of this setting, or is this a bug? In either case, is anyone aware of a fix for this? I just want the documents I'm reading to preserve their positions when switching between them when opened in a single window.

I have set up an automator service that TAR's a folder into an archive for me and it works quite nicely. Idealy however, I would like to be able to highlight several folders, right click and have automator tar each folder into it's own TAR archive, but do it one by one.

I'm not 100% sure so I guess it would be a good time to verify, is there a problem with having the system try to TAR multiple folders at one time? If it is not a problem then I guess this discussion itself is pointless and I can simple right click on each folder and select "TAR Folder" and just wait until they're all finished. I would think that it would be ideal for the system to do each one individually and not try to do them all at one time.

when i print more the 2 pages after each page the printer take out 2 blank page and than stops (i have to press its bottom to make it pull the next paper)

For years "Print" opened with the Orientation pre-set to print vertically, which is what I wish to use 95% of the time. Recently my Print began invariably printing Horizontally which I forget to change and I end up with a wasted piece of paper.

I want to print out a single letter on one page for a banner I am making for my daughters school leavers party. However, if you make the font size too big it slips onto a second page and it will only fill half a page at its largest. For example, I want the letter 'S' to fill a whole A4 page then the letter 'T' then 'B' etc. I will then print then out and stick them on the banner.

My PPC G5 computer is currently connected to two monitors via VGA adapters, and lately when I scroll any window on either of the two screens, or resize a window, I hear a faint clicking sound through my earphones. I also hear it when I load a new web page (using either Safari or Firefox). The images seem to click faintly when they load. I'm on Mac OS X version 10.5.8, on a Dual 2.5 GHz PowerPC G5 with 8GB DDR SDRAM.

I have seen one method which invloves opening a PDF then dragging images to the sidebar and saving it however the PDF file size is huge.
I still use both windows and mac for various tasks.
On a PC if i want to look at a bunch of images, I can double click on one, Windows Photo Viewer pops up and I can scroll through all the images in that folder.
However on a osx, the file opens in Preview but forwards and back are greyed out, is there any way of making it work so I can scroll through my images like I can on Windows?

I also have a 250GB external drive. What I want to do is keep my music on my laptop, but store movies and TV shows on my external drive, yet still be able to access them along with my music... know what I'm saying?
I recently bought a 1TB hard drive... I am trying to partition it to be 250GB Mac Format and 750GB NTFS. The reason for NTFS format is because I work with ISO files and Blu-Ray movie files a lot that are well over the 4GB limit of FAT32/Mac formats. Is there a decent disk utility for OS X or Windows that can format a hard drive into both of these file systems? The built-in Disk Utility in OS X only does FAT, to my knowledge, so I need something else.
