OS X V10.6 Snow Leopard :: When Print Multiple Checks They Print In The Wrong Sequence
May 21, 2012
When I print multiple checks they print in the wrong sequence. If I have checks 401, 402 and 403 in the printer in that order, they print 403, 402 and 401. How can I change this to print not collated?
I can't seem to be able to print multiple copies of a document in Leopard. I've tried 3 different network printers (2 windows printers, 1 direct IP printer) using 3 different MacBooks. All running 10.5.1. It'll print 1 copy just fine, but that's it. If you want multiple copies you have to keep sending it to the printer, which is a pain.
Can anybody try printing 2 or more copies with a local printer and see if that works? I think I may have found my first truly annoying Leopard bug
I have recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and am now having problem with my hp 4500 office jet printer. The print icon tends to stay on the dock after the print job is done and then mess up the print queue. Even worse if I forget to cancel it manually then when I put the computer on 'sleep' the printer starts up again and the whole job is rerun unless I get to cancel it quickly on the printer! Â
It does not always do this (the print icon disappearing as it should do), but for 90% of the time it does.Â
I was wondering if anyone here has an Epson Artison 800 printer and has upgraded to Snow Leopard. I made the mistake of installing snow leopard last weekend, and have not been able to print since. I searched for new drivers and found a couple, but still have no luck.
I have a 24" iMac (purchased last spring) and an HP Deskjet 842C inkjet printer. The photo print quality was quite good under Leopard, but is very poor under Snow Leopard (I'm using the latest updated version 10.6.1 with the Gutenprint print driver, 5.2.3). The images have a noticeable bluish cast, and considerable banding. Changing the print quality and paper type does not solve the problem, in fact, the image quality usually suffers. HP has not updated the drivers since 2005.
So I'm trying to print to a network printer, connected to a Vista PC. My Brother (windows fanboy) is able to print just fine through his wireless PC (Win7) but I can't get my head around why I cannot. I saved a webpage that helped me out before (used on Leopard) which use to work but it no longer work http://forums.macrumors.com/showthre...print+to+vista
I have upgraded my soft ware to Snow leopard and now my almost brand new Epson SX 515W copier printer and scanner will not print. Massage Error:/ System/ Library/ Pri always appears.  have ried down loading also disinstalled printer and reinstalled. Â
I am having a problem with my Canon Pixma 5200. For some reason it has stopped recognising text. It will print out the test print ok. I can print pictures but no text. I have used different applications, Pages, Word and pdf and although it sounds as though it is printing I end up with a blank sheet. I have a letterhead with my email address on it and having typed a long letter only the email address came out (this was in the same font as the letter but a smaller size).
After installing 10.6.8 and safari 5.1.5, can't print pdfs from sites. Unable to save same pdfs also. Installed lasted software for my printer. Firefox doesn't display the pdfs.Worked fine with 10.6.7.
I just bought a second-hand Macbook Pro to handle e-mails and browsing at a holiday place, replacing an older notebook running 10.4.Â
Each day for years I have printed a puzzle from the NY Times and scale it to a preferred size by the sequence <<command-print / page set-up / scale / enter>> then print>> in the Print panel. 10.6.8 does not scale the page; it prints at 100%.Â
I have seen the discussion recommending "tab out of the Scale box" and tried it but entering <<tab>> has no effect.Â
I recently installed the Dell 1355cnw color laser. I'm running it through my Airport. My iMac sees it just fine The trouble is that it stops printing after one page of every doc. Word. Adobe. Doesn't matter. It prints a page and then beeps as if complete. I've run the Apple updater. I've updated drivers (athough Dell's Mac driver support isn't great). This problem makes the printer virtually useless to me. Ironicially, my Windows based machine (which sees the printer through my iMac works fine), which leads me to conclude it's a driver issue.
I have a mac laptop that works well on my verizon wireless router. I have a HP printer attached to the router. It works well with 2 windows wireless PC's. How do I set up the mac laptop to print on that printer?
i am constantly having a problem when i try and print a smallish image with Preview /automatically/ checking the Scale to Fit Paper Size and when i /uncheck/ this by clicking in the "Scale" radio button it /automatically/ enters the percent scale factor that would be required if I wanted to scale to fit to paper (e.g. 184%). Since I /don't/ want this scale (I already unchecked this option) I MANUALLY enter "100" in this box and - well - it prints out scale to fit to paper size /anyway/. i am using the Print Selected Image but the Print option behaves in the same way. Also, Auto Rotate (which defaults to AutoRotate with no option - "bad Preview, bad") has no effect on this. i have taken to pulling down to four or nine images to a page in order to get my images printed smaller, even though they never print out at 100%.Â
I have a Macbook Pro, ipad 2 and apple tv as well as a Canon MP640 all connected through airport xtreme. All was working fine until I upgraded from Snow Leopard to OS X Lion. Now I can't print or scan to my Mac, either from the MacBook or from the printer/scanner.

I have just installed Snow Leopard and I am now unable to print to my HP Office JetPro 8500. It worked just before this and now I get an error every time. I have shut it down, shut down and restarted everything and it s not working. I have been on hold with Apple for about 10 minutes now...
I recently downloaded a bundled security update for Safari and several other Mac-type programs. Since then I've had several instances where the activity selected produced the spinning wheel which would not stop over time. I've used disk utility several times to repair extensions and verify/repair the Mac OSX. More times than not, the original problems have been right after I've tried to save a file or document by printing it to *pdf. Once I select this print option, I experience the spinning wheel, and it won't stop.
Info: Mac OS X (10.6.8), Safari 5.1.2, iPhoto 9.2, iTunes 10
Just recently have been unable to save or print PDF documents from two different websites using either Safari or FireFox on Snow Leopard (10.6). The same websites can be accessed, saved or printed on a different computer using Safari and Lion (10.7).
I work in a school and to be quite blunt people are taking the michael with printing and it is costing the school a fortune in ink and toners. This is something that I really want to control. I have tried setting up print quoats but this just doesn't seem to want to work.I was wondering if there are any dedicated pieces of software on the market that would allow me to control printing accros the school?
My very useful little daemon ntpd was behaving normally just weeks ago, but now, it checks with Apple's time servers like an obsessive/compulsive person might look at his/her watch.
We have an HP Photosmart Premium C410.We using both Safari 5.1.2 and Firefox 10.0.We use a network connection from the printer to our MiniMac.We have been unable to get images (photo's) to print with the rest of the web page which is text (the text portion does print. This does not happen on all, but does happen on most web sites we go to.In order to get the image (or photo) to print, we have right click on it and copy it seperatly onto a WP blank. This is a big pain.We would like to be able to get the picture/image to copy/print with the rest of the web page.Would anyone know what might need to be addressed to get this to work properly.

I have an HP 4050TN LaserJet printer that I had networked via ethernet to my iMac (when it was running just leopard) Once I did all the updates for 10.6.8, I found that my printer is nowhere to be seen, I can't add it. Nothing. I found hp printer drivers for Lion, but I'm not going to get Lion, if i just have to turn around and get Mountain Lion in a couple of months anyway .Regarding my Scanner:When I try to use my Cannon CanoScan 8800F MP Navigater justs quits. . . . Â
I am wondering if Print quotas can be enforced on a local machine. I have 300 students with Macbooks and do not want to create accounts on the servers for them. I would like to be able to set job page limits for them on thier machines. Can this be done or do I need the print server on the xserve? I have been trying to get quotas to work on the local machines without any luck so far.Printer.conf shows the quotas I set but they are not enforced. I'm using 10.6.8 with IPP protocol to a networked Konica Minolta Bizhub 350 with IPP enabled. Everything looks to be in place but jobs keep getting printed without any warnings or anything.
I have a Macbook pro at work running snow leopard. We have a shared printer Cannon IR 5045. For the past few motnhs it was working fine. This week all of the documents i try to print i put on hold. Restarting doesnt work. deleting and reinstalling printer doesnt work. It is connected by IP and the mac is on the network. Other people can print fine.
I have a pdf that I must print to buy a home. It will not print as is. I shot screen shots, brought them into Photoshop, made them jpgs and adjusted the gamma to make them very black and white. Â
It helped but the pages cannot be read. There is plenty of ink in the printer.Â
I need to send this paperwork tomorrow with a check...Â
