I want to print out a single letter on one page for a banner I am making for my daughters school leavers party. However, if you make the font size too big it slips onto a second page and it will only fill half a page at its largest. For example, I want the letter 'S' to fill a whole A4 page then the letter 'T' then 'B' etc. I will then print then out and stick them on the banner.

Problem Description:
1. System prints PDF files very slowly, about 50 seconds per page, a text only page. Sometimes will just continue sending data to printer as indicated by flashing green light on printer – does not stop sending and printer does not print. Problem also present when try to print PDF files as sent by others over internet (eg TD Bank statements).
2. Unable to cause double sided printing using IMac – no problem with PC.
Trouble shooting:Took the same one page text only file that was very slow in IMac, transferred to PC using a memory stick – connected printer to PC using same USB cable – page starts printing in about 1 seconds – no problems.No difficulty in printing Word files other than no double sided. Think the problems started with OSX Yosemite upgrade and the companion Safari upgrade. Auto update for software is on and no new updates. Old drivers removed and new one installed Tried Apple internet chat to resolve problem – was unable – the user forum indicates others have had difficulties with printing PDF files.

In systems prior to "lion" when I wanted to select and print multiple different imagews per page, I could select the number I desired in "copies per page". Now when I select a number in "Copies per page", I get that number of a single image instead of 1 of each each different image.

I just don't like and feel uncomfortable to view the PDF in continuous scrolls mode. however, it is set to be default in Preview of Lion. How could I change the defaut setting to make it open in single page view instead of continuous scrolls mode?

I'm trying to clean up my mac by locating the largest files. I remember that there was a program that sorted all of your huge files where you can look, edit, delete, do whatever you want with them, but I have forgotten what this program is called. View 8 Replies View RelatedI was just thinking about the stuff I have on my HD, and I'm not really sure what is eating up the 500gb HD I have installed in it (with only 50gb or so available at the moment). The usual culprits (iTunes and iPhoto library) are both on externals.
And i don't *think* I've got nearly 450gb worth of audio work on here.
So my question is, is there an application that will scan through my system HD and tell me which olders/files are taking up the most space? This may give me some idea of what I should start getting rid of.
My supervisor wrote me a last minute letter of recommendation and emailed it late last night. I would like to bring this letter in today at 11am... 2hours. I cant open it. I even downloaded a pages converter that I found but it only works with Mac. Is there anyway someone can read this in time and send me a document that I am able to print out on my pc?

My problem is that on the second page, I would like the document to continue on without any table. I would like for the text to flow from the table into regular margin document on the second page. Is there a way to do this?

When I load the page with text edit, I get some crazy Apple page, so I don't seem to be able to edit the HTML directly. View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I haven't used Pandora in a while, and just started again last week. I figured I would grab one of the third party apps, so I didn't have to use Safari to listen. I tried PandoraJam, PandoraBoy, and PandoraMan, and none of them work right. I can listen to stations that I have already created, but I can not create a new station. Every time I try to type an artist or song in the box, it doubles every letter. For example say I wanted to search for "Train" If I try to type that in the search box it comes out "Ttrraaiinn." I know Pandora recently released their own App, so did they break 3rd Party apps, to promote Pandora ONE?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI keep seeing these weird multi-color single pixel lines across my windows and my system is crashing alot (rather it becomes completely frozen and non-responsive). I don't know if this is a video card problem, or memory issue, or just something in the system OS. It does seem that it happens quite often while running Handbrake. I'm still getting these lines with a fresh OS install, so I'm thinking my original video card is on the way out. Will replacing it with actually improve performance?

I bought Brand New Macbook pro 15" Late 2011 Ci7, this is incredible machine. But a month past and i started to notice a very strange behavior: When i using mac for resource "Eating" application or processes my computer starts to Heat-this is normal.
When i close all the apps here starts interesting) I have Istat installed, so i can see what temps are in my system. Computer is cooling, and when cpu reaches 50-55 degrees (Celsium, from 80 degrees, because of heavy load) ,my left speaker produces a single loud pop sound. (like something turning of may be)

I can be in the middle of using an application, browsing a web-page, or basically any type of function when it will put itself into sleep mode. When this happens, I cannot get it to "wake up". I have to disconnect it from the power source, turn it over and remove the battery, wait a few seconds, then hit the power button, put the battery back in, then restart it. This is the only way I have found that will get it to come back to life. I don't like doing it, but I really don't see what other options I have.
