I am trying to edit a Video for a friend using imovie 09. Every time i exit and reopen imovie this happends it is not saving the edits i am doing to my project. This never happened before on leopard.
View 4 RepliesI use iPhoto 09 and Snow Leopard and I see the de-noise feature in the adjust button. I use this, and it shows the change, but when I click done and export, the change is not saved.
I was wondering if there was a way to take clips that I am importing to IMovie 4.0.1 from a Panasonic DV102D to my desktop or hard drive or any other location other than IMovie. I ask because I am running out of space and need a permanent solution to that problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 24" LED Cinema Display and I've been using Adobe Lightroom 2 to edit photos. I began to notice that many of my photos seemed slightly underexposed when I viewed them on my MacBook Pro and other computers. I then compared the same photo on both screens at the same time and realized that my LED screen was brighter than my MacBook Pro screen and this was the reason for the underexposures.
I love how bright the screen is most of the time but I want to use it to edit photos and it's just to bright to do that accurately.
I have used iTunes to organize my media files for years and have never had any issues until recently. I'm currently using iTunes 10.6.1 (7) and have 98,000 music files (over 600 GB). My iTunes library is set to my local disk but the large majority of my media files are stored on an external hard drive. In iTunes, when I click on "Get Info" and attempt to change the tag info on a file stored on the external hard drive, it reverts back to the original track info as soon as the track is played and doesn't save any of the changes I made to the tag. However, if I change the tag info on a file stored on the local disk, the changes are saved with no problem. I am not interested in storing my iTunes library on my local disk and need to be able to edit the files on the external drive without having to move them back and forth.

Every time I open imovie it works well enough, until i try and record my voice. It automaticaly shuts down imovie, and really frustrates my teacher and I. It's imovie 4.

I copied the files onto a USB and tried to open/import them onto my new Intel Core 2 Duo, 3.06 GHz iMac. However my new iMac with iMovie '09 won't recognise the files when I try to import them. They stay greyed, not allowing me to import them.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a project file that was created using iMovie 5 HD. In this project file were a large number of unused clips and also the final film, edited with transitions, backing music, end credits, etc.
However when I import this project file into iMovie 8 I cannot find the final edited film anywhere, just all the clips that were both used and unused within the project file.
How can I get the final film back without spending about a week re-editing everything?
In iMovie HD there was a button saying Video FX where you could access your downloaded effects, is this possible in iMovie 09?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i've recently gotten in the uploading to YouTube craze with my Flip Mino HD but i'm not too happy at the way i've been doing this and am hoping there is an easier way.
As of late i've been importing what i film into iMovie. In iMovie i'll edit the video to my liking. In iMovie i'll "export" to the media browser so it'll show up in GarageBand. Then i'll open GarageBand and edit my film further, dealing with sound; adding music. After that i'll export it as a .MOV to my desktop. Then i'll open iMovie again and import that .MOV file and from there in iMovie will have it upload to YouTube in its original HD format.
So, I have all of my imovie projects backed up on my external harddrive, as well as the imovie program. I accidentally deleted all of the imovie projects and events from the imovie application on my laptop. When I try to re-import the imovie files into imovie, it doesn't recognize the files. I have tried to convert them with iSkySoft Video Converter. That converter program does not recognize the files either. I also tried burning the files onto a disc and then pulling them off the disc with the Handbrake program. This doesn't work either. I also tried importing the files into iMovie HD, which I have on my desktop, but to no avail. Are these files alll useless now? I'm at my wits end because I have spent literally months compiling footage for a documentary.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having issues with saving a .doc file to a network share from my macbook. It gives the error message that I don't have the appropriate permissions to do it. I checked the document and it is marked with read/write access ok for me, also I've all the latest updates (it's on 10.6.3). I saved a few pdf files to this share with no problem, so only doc issues.

Each time I start each computer, the system asks whether I want to allow or block connections for a variety of programs, including iTunes and several UNIX commands (cupsd, compressord, ftpd, krb5kdc, qmasterd, qmastertaskd,smbd). Why aren't these settings being saved upon shutdown? Is anyone else experiencing a similar problem?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a frustrating time with one aspect of garageband I can't seem to resolve. Here is the situation - if I record a multitrack live performance and save the entire 60 minute+ file it is 3.12GB in size.
If I then edit the file down into 7 minute, and 5 minute sections from the master file - they are still saving as 3.12GB files. It is as if I can't get rid of all of the contents of the master file when I edit down shorter i.e. smaller sections.
I add my own sites to topsites by creating a new Safari window and dragging the icon in the left of the address bar to the topsites window. That works, but every time I quit Safari and open it up again, the topsites change.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know this is probably a basic question but I'm still getting the hang of things here. I have a jpg photo I received on an email. I dragged the file onto my desktop and now want to save it in my iPhoto 09 library. I've tried dragging it, importing it but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. When I place it into iPhoto it comes up as a new event. I drag that event into the existing event I want my photo stored in. It asks me if I want to merge events and I say Yes and the photo is now in my existing event along with about twenty others. Ok so far. But when I do a right click "show file" on my new photo it just lists that photo. When I do the same to any other photo in that event it shows all the photos.
