OS X :: How To Add Movies To Iphone

ok so after disconnecting from my mac to make a call, after reconnectingthe usb and trying again, it is working. i have no idea what happened but all is normal now..... computers....
leopard 10.5.7
itunes 8.2
iphone OS 3.0
how do i add movies to the iphone? i cant drag n drop movies or music to my iphone. i have checked off manually manage music and videos but i cant "dnd" them to the iphone. the only way i can do it is if i choose and check the sync options under the appropiate tabs and i don't wish to do that. so how do you MANUALLY DRAG N DROP movies and music onto the phone?

I have quite a lot of movies that will play off my hard drive and through my MBP. However, most will not play on my iPhone or via my TV even though as far as I can see they're in the same format. Wall-E will play, 27 dresses wont

I cant upload photos to facebook - message says facebook server not found and, i'm not sure if it's associated but i can't upload movies from my iphone 3GS to youtube.
Not sure if and whats occurred but i've just has a new hard drive installed in my imcac?

I haven't posted for a while, but I lurk a lot and am glad to be back. Basically, I have some videos on my iPhone I bought from iTunes, which are also on the hard drive of my battery-looks-to-be-dead iBook G4. I want to copy the videos onto iTunes on my new MacBook Pro but the only option in iTunes seems to be to transfer content the other way around. Basically I have Futurama I purchased on my iPhone and want to put it on my MBP- how do I do this? I can find oodles of information for transferring in the opposite direction, but nothing for what I want to do.

I have a HD movie that I bought from iTunes and when I want to sync the movie to my 4S, it only shows the SD version in itunes under the iphone 4s movie sync tab. It shows the HD version if I launch it from my imac, but for some reason I can't get it to sync the HD version to the 4S.
I did originally buy the HD movie on my 4S but had to download it at home on my mac due to large file sizes.
Any reason why my imac can see the HD movie but neither my iphone 4s or ipad 2 can sync the hd movie?

I downloaded Handbrake in order to download movies onto my MBP, and then upload them onto my iPhone 3G. However, is Handbrake necessary to use simply to download movies onto my MBP that I will later watch solely on my computer (that is, not upload them onto my iPhone)? Or, is there software already pre-installed on my MBP that will allow me to download the movie (DVD) on my computer, without having to use Handbrake or like software? After uploading, what application will allow me to watch the downloaded DVD?

Why I can not sync 720p movies on my iphone 3gs? When I try to sync by selecting the film does not give me any error message but then there isn't on the iPhone.

I've bought several movies on ITunes store with the same user and when I Sync my PC with my IPhone and IPad some movies didn't transfer to my devices. I have checked if my devices has space or if I select the specific movies to be transfer.

I've got a softmodden XBOX (1) with a 500GB HDD wich I mainly use to watch movies on my tv (XBMC). I've got an MacBook and an iPhone wich syncs with the MacBook. Is there any way I can tell my MacBook iTunes library that the mp3's and movies are on a shared map of the XBOX?
What I want is this:
- Watch movies and listen to mp3's on my XBOX with XBMC in the livingroom (already doing that)
- Sync my iPhone with the iTunes on my MacBook with mp3's/movies from the XBOX
- Use an Airport Express in my studyroom with the mp3's on my XBOX
(I'm also planning to use a part of the 500GB XBOX HDD for Time Machine, but that's a different story)

I love AirPlay. I use it on my iPod Touch the moment I get home to play music to my speakers connected via AirPort Express. I use it on my iPad too when i'm watching a movie..
Even on my MBP when listening to music from iTunes. But Movies in iTunes don't work. The AirPlay icon in a movie playing in iTunes only shows "computer" and doesn't show any other options.

I had a bunch of movies that took with my digital camera that were always imported into iPhoto when I transferred my pictures into it. I used to just be able to click on them in iPhoto and the movie would open up and play. Now it seems that my movies are gone and all that I have of my movies is the first frame as a picture and nothing else. Their file extensions used to say .mov but now are .jpg. I've tried changing the extension back to .mov but no movie is there and the file sizes are not what a movie should be.
I'm running Snow Leopard on a 13" Macbook Pro with newest version of iPhoto. I have quicktime X and Quicktime 7 installed.

I used Macthe Ripper to rip my sons chuggington dvd to my macbook pro, then i used handbrake to convert it, i managed to copy the converted file to my itunes library, but when i symc my iphone 3gs, it says it won't copy the file because it can't be played on my iphone.Several forums mention using the iphone/ipod touch preset when converting in Hnadbrake, now i may be a numpty, but i cant find this preset anywhere?! The closest thing i can see is an apple button/setting.when i selected apple and told it to play again, it said it would overwrite the prev converted verison. It took hours to convert the first time, if I do this, will it really work? Or will I waste another 3 hours?!

I found out something interesting that brings back two years. Remember that old iPhone, the one that came out on June 2007. Well I think his accessories will save us some money for this new iPhone 4. I went inside my garage and found my old iPhone dock that Apple provided with the original iPhone. I said ?hey maybe this dock will fit the new phone.? And it did EXACTLY what I predicted. The new iPhone 4 dock FITS in the old original iPhone dock. I just saved myself $30 for a new dock!

I can't seem to get my Macbook Pro 13" 2.26Ghz (OS 10.5.7) connect to my iPhone 3G (OS 3.0) via bluetooth. In the Bluetooth Setup Assistant the macbook sees the iPhone 3G, but they don't connect after I accept the connect on the iPhone 3G. The codes on the Macbook and iPhone are the same and, therefore, should connect.
I've searched the Apple Discussions (support) but there is no answer there.

I unfortunately lost my whole itunes library that was on an external hard drive. I was able to download my music and apps stored in icloud. I want to sync my iphone and ipad to itunes for mac without erasing everything on these devices. can this be done keeping all my apps, music, folders intact on these devices.

I downloaded the WMV Player plugin thing from Microsoft so that I could stream WMV movies from the web. Problem is, they all show up in TINY boxes where it's really hard to see anything and I can't find a way to put them fullscreen.

My question is I have recently been down loading movies for my iphone, but I want to down load formats that are worth watching on my HDTV 55" Plasma. I am trying to play movies stored on one computer's HD on its screen, but controlled from a different computer. Here goes: So I have one computer, A, with its own display. I have another computer, B, on which I have logged on to A via ssh. If I have set A in advance to have, say, Windows Media Player open at "Full Screen," when I type on B's terminal prompt open moviename.wmv, a file on the HD of A, it begins playing in full screen on A. If I do not have Windows Media Player open at all, it will open at a default size which is less than full screen. My questions: - from B, with the open command or something else (maybe using x11), can I set at what size the new window will open up on A? - besides kill to stop the movie, is there a way to pause it or otherwise control the movie playing on A, from B? - what video player would work for this best (QT, VLC, etc.), or is there some shareware that handles similar setups? I am obviously a command-line newbie, so sorry if I missed something obvious. I feel like there is some very simple way to do this, and I am just overlooking it for lack of familiarity.

i brought my first ever mac several days ago. when i was using PC, i use to download my favourite tv shows as severals parts of rapidshare files, then unzip them and watch them in media player. now i m using a mac, i still want to be able to do the same, am i going to be able to? can you guys tell me how can i use those rapid links in macbook?

There used to be a time when playing movies was even visible when minimizing in the dock. You could see the small thumbnail playing. But that isn't the case anymore since Tiger, Leopard? What happened? Nowadays the machines are even faster than back then when it used to work.
