I downloaded the WMV Player plugin thing from Microsoft so that I could stream WMV movies from the web. Problem is, they all show up in TINY boxes where it's really hard to see anything and I can't find a way to put them fullscreen.
View 7 RepliesThis has been going on since the beginning of time: You put 1 YouTube video in fullscreen (on screen #1). You click anywhere on screen #2 and screen #1 leaves fullscreen! Is there an app or script that will allow me (and the rest of the world) to watch 2 flash videos in full screen on 2 monitors? I even tried 1 video in Safari and one in FireFox but to no avail.

I've found a great little countdown flash file that I want to run on our TV during our NYE party tomorrow night. I can get it to fill the Safari/Firefox window but I can't see how to maximise it so that everything else is gone i.e. dock, menubar etc.

I actually haven't quite had a situation where Adium Growl notifications interrupt my gaming but I think it could happen?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my i7 iMac for months now, and it's acted perfectly with no hassles or quirks at all-- until the past couple weeks after I installed 4gb of kingston ram.
The problem occurs whenever I enter fullscreen mode with flash programs-- rather it be fullscreening a youtube video or a livestream. It's more of a 2-3 second freeze, rather than a full-scale freeze. After the freeze, the computer acts normal again, but iStat menus shows one of the lynnfield's processing cores to have a sudden spike in usage for that small period of time (a spike that reaches to the top of that specific core's capacity)
It's not an everytime type of deal, and I only get it maybe once every other day, but it seems to be happening after installing the additional ram. System Profiler has the ram as running fine, and repairing disk permissions doesn't do any help either. I highly doubt it has anything to do with the SMC or PRAM either.
My screen went to Full Screen and removed the bar across the top and I don't know how to get it back. I'm on a Mac and not on an iPad.

Every time I open ITunes, it starts in a Full Screen mode - this it perfect! I don't know how I managed that. But more important: How can I get my other mac programs to do so (that has the full mode function) - a still not forget that they should open in fullscreen mode every time.

In Mac Safari 5.0.6 the fullscreen button has stopped working for some YouTube videos (which it has previously worked for). I click the button and nothing happens... as if it wasn't even clicked. This only happens on some videos though... not all of them.And the ones that do not work in Safari do work in Firefox.

I purchased a new 27 inch 2.8 imac 2 months ago I'm having problems with the computer/screen going black (sometimes grey with vertical lines) and freezing.
This happens frequently when I'm playing World of Warcraft but has recently started to happen when I'm watching youtube videos in full screen. (Do you think its the graphics card?) I originally ran WOW in bootcamp but I had this problem in Windows as well. The only thing I can do when this happens is force the computer off. This happened so often that something got damaged and I had to reinstall OSX. Since this incident I have not reinstalled Windows via bootcamp.
I switched to fullscreen mode on parallels but the goddamn thing can't exit from fullscreen BS. alt + return doesn't work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI think this is a recent problem, but it could be a problem that I have only noticed recently. This is on a 2011 MacBook Air.Â
Whenever I switch back to the desktop from a fullscreen app there is a half second delay before the wallpaper appears.
When I use a three finger swipe out of the desktop, the wallpaper disappears immediately. When swiping between two fullscreen apps (mail and itunes, for example), you can basically see half of each app as you swipe, but this isn't the case with the desktop, it disappears to the patterned grey.
The menu bar does remain there, and when set to translucent always shows the background. I have tried this with a number of wallpapers including the default and solid colours.Â
If this is unclear I can try to upload a screenshot.Â
If this is common, then so be it, but for some reason I believe this worked differently. Searching came up with nothing but I may be searching for the wrong thing.

For some reason today my menu bar no longer shows up when I move the mouse to the top of the screen in any application. I have tried restarting several times, opening and closing applications, taking apps in and out of full screen, ran disk utility. All to no avail. Not sure if this is related, but I attached an external drive and booted to the recovery volume on my mac to install Lion on the external drive. It hung at the download so I quit and rebooted to my main drive. Everything worked normally except for the menu bar. Software up to date, 2008 MacBook Pro with no attachments.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEverytime I am in a fullscreen application, like itunes or chrome, I can stay there for about 45-60seconds and then it brings me back to the desktop. It's fine when using iTunes or something but very annoying when I'm using photoediting software or music editing. By the look of what I've seen on the desktop when this happens it's like finder is switching on and off again every minute or so because the desktop goes blank and the menu bar goes blank where it says finder and such.

I love AirPlay. I use it on my iPod Touch the moment I get home to play music to my speakers connected via AirPort Express. I use it on my iPad too when i'm watching a movie..
Even on my MBP when listening to music from iTunes. But Movies in iTunes don't work. The AirPlay icon in a movie playing in iTunes only shows "computer" and doesn't show any other options.
I opened a slideshow file, probably made with Powerpoint, and it went full screen and is playing Glenn Miller's in the Mood over and over. Strangely, I can't see any of the images being played and it's just a blank white square in the middle of the fully blacked out screen. What do I press to get this to stop and the program to close?

I had a bunch of movies that took with my digital camera that were always imported into iPhoto when I transferred my pictures into it. I used to just be able to click on them in iPhoto and the movie would open up and play. Now it seems that my movies are gone and all that I have of my movies is the first frame as a picture and nothing else. Their file extensions used to say .mov but now are .jpg. I've tried changing the extension back to .mov but no movie is there and the file sizes are not what a movie should be.
I'm running Snow Leopard on a 13" Macbook Pro with newest version of iPhoto. I have quicktime X and Quicktime 7 installed.
Have a PC hooked up to a Pioneer plasma here, and it's basically used to loop trailers in my video-store. The PC is running Windows 2003, and I thought iTunes is probably perfect for this as all the trailers I use are the 720p ones from Apple's servers. So I connect to the PC with VNC (no mouse or keyboard attached), start up iTunes, start the playlist with the videos and they start running fullscreen. But whenever I close the VNC connection the video window disappears from the Pioneer and I just get the desktop + iTunes. The videos are still running though, as the sound is playing and iTunes say they're running, but the video is completely gone.

how do i add movies to the iphone? i cant drag n drop movies or music to my iphone. i have checked off manually manage music and videos but i cant "dnd" them to the iphone. the only way i can do it is if i choose and check the sync options under the appropiate tabs and i don't wish to do that. so how do you MANUALLY DRAG N DROP movies and music onto the phone?
