Aug 29, 2014I have multiple iphones, one for personal use and one for work. I would like to backup and recharge both on my MacBook Pro but do not want the information on the personal one to be on the work one. My personal iPhone is 64 GB and the work one is 16 GB so the data from my personal iPhone would would not fit on the work iPhone Both are running iOS 7.1.2 and the MBP is 10.9.4

May 27, 2012This process deleted all my current text history, call history, photos, music, ringtones and apps! It replaced all of that data with my old iphone 3G data (data being music, texts, call history, photos, music.) It's like my phone went back in time.. When setting up an iphone to synch with the lion server, why does it only present mail and notes for synch? Is this just how it works, you have to setup the different services seperately for mail, contacts, and calendar? I can't believe that when an iphone has builtin support for exchange.Â

Even after restarting just get invalid username or password.The log file shows something about an OD crash which seems to coincide with an attempt to login to iCal using AD credentials.
3. I cannot edit user's shortnames via WGM. Even so, it wouldn't accomplish what i need. So i'm fine with just manually creating aliases. I tried to edit the postfix aliases file for a test alias group: user1, user2 Doesn't work even after restarting mail it says it's unknown user. Mailman doesn't work the way i expected. I need to create distrobution groups, not a maillist. Â

May 29, 2012Is is possible to access photos on an iPhone that were taken more than 30 days ago. I had my iPhone stolen, I'd used it for 6 months without ever syncing it to any computer, and since it was nicked I bought a MacBook Pro in hopes that through iCloud I could get all the data from my phone but only a few recent photos showed up in Photo Stream, not all the others. Any way to go back in time for the lost photos?

Oct 6, 2010I used Macthe Ripper to rip my sons chuggington dvd to my macbook pro, then i used handbrake to convert it, i managed to copy the converted file to my itunes library, but when i symc my iphone 3gs, it says it won't copy the file because it can't be played on my iphone.Several forums mention using the iphone/ipod touch preset when converting in Hnadbrake, now i may be a numpty, but i cant find this preset anywhere?! The closest thing i can see is an apple button/setting.when i selected apple and told it to play again, it said it would overwrite the prev converted verison. It took hours to convert the first time, if I do this, will it really work? Or will I waste another 3 hours?!

The codes on the Macbook and iPhone are the same and, therefore, should connect.

Dec 3, 2014I recently upgraded to Yosemite on my iMac and now I can not access backed up data on my time machine. Time Machine will open normal, but does not allow me to click on different favorites to the left in Finder. I tried my other iMac which was also upgraded to Yosemite and even though this Mac is connected to the time machine via cable, I still can not access favorites in Finder. Seems like Time Machine is frozen.

Apr 3, 2010Running iTunes v. 9.1.0.79. Trying to get ringers on an iPhone 3gs I just purchased yesterday. All of the methods I am seeing (outside of jailbreaking which I don't wan't to do) are not working. I'm assuming that the version of iTunes I am running has corrected the ways that people were using to get ringers. Anyhow, I have mp3 ringers from my other phone saved on my computer. I've tried importing them, converting them to AAC format to no avail. Is there any value in going down in versions to regain the ringer function. Is that possible? I gotta say, I am extremely underwhelmed by the choice of ringers in iTunes. I feel like I've gone back 10 years. if anyone knows of any other way to get ringers onto the iPhone (without jailbreaking) I'd love to hear them.
