for some random reason my computer decided to randomly started speaking everything i click, type, search, everything any one know how to stop this?Never-mind! Somehow i hit the key-bind that i didn't know i had, sorry for the post.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have set a keyboard shortcut cmd opt ctrl + S to start speaking highlighted text which works fine, however I have set numerous keyboard shortcuts but nothing I do can stop the text speaking, even quitting the application or relaunching the finder. In the end I have to log out to stop it speaking.

And equally sadly, just as I've rid myself my the last of my utterly crud Airs I find that I'm going to have to lug the MBP around much more often that I thought - which means that if at all possible, I will need something considerably more portable. So it was with a sense of resignation that I found myself hovering over the 'buy' button on a 1.8/SSD Gen 2. But then I thought "**** it, I've got far better machines than anything Apple can crank out, why can't I hackintosh these instead?" - namely my Sony Z's, forthcoming TT's, existing TZ's and SZ's as well as the Voodoo Envy133 that I finally caved on and ordered. And I'd love to hear of anyone installing a rock solid Hackintosh install with no functional issues on any of those machines - because from what I've read, there seem to be problems.

View 4 Replies View Relatedstart up the computer and all is fine it is really cool how you dont see the black screen or anything it is all smooth looking with the setup boxes but when it gets to where you should have the normal desktop this wierd program comes up instead. i cant see the start button or my computer or anything it is like some kind of other program on top of it that i cant quit. i have tried everything but when i click shut down it just shuts down the whole computer not getting me to my desktop.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI have an 08 Mac Pro with a stock apple raid card. 4 2TB WD Green drives make up the raid and I use it for my iTunes library and Aperture Library. I use the extra sata port for my 1 TB Hitachi boot drive which is the one I purchased my Mac Pro with. I have had this setup for nearly if not over a year with no trouble until the past week and a half. The raid utility shows that everything is fine. The battery is good, the raid partition is good, and even when I click through the individual drives in their respective bays it says SMART Verified Status Good. My trouble is this. Anytime I play a song or a tv show, or access files even without using iTunes the computer freezes. I can't click on anything, there is no spinning wheel and I have to manually restart it. When I do restart it the raid volume does not show up in the finder. But when I go to verify disk or repair disk in the disk utility it shows everything is fine. I have to rebuild the volume with diskwarrior and when I use any file off of the volume it freezes. I've replaced the drives and that hasn't helped. So I'm at a loss here.

My computer speed is still perfectly fine but the pop ups wont quit on my Safari and Google Chrome. I did download ClamXav app on the app store and its found a few trojans and has quarantined them and deleted them but I still have the pop ups, I also tried the Addblocker on Google and it has some but there are still Pop-Ups. I cant use the internet without any of these going away

I am Having some issues with Safari (I am using 4.0.5), if I open up a website the screen stays white like it normally does for a sec to load a web page but the loading icon keeps spinning and spinning and spinning....... until I click the "X" stop icon and reload the web page. As soon as I click the reload icon the webpage loads up instantly, it is getting really annoying and would be great if anyone has a fix. This doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen frequently and then be fine for a few web pages and then start up again.

When using Safari in Snow Leopard, every 5 minutes the entire computer will stop responding and I get the beach ball for 15 - 30 seconds. Clicking around does nothing. Then things will return to normal. When not using Safari, the computer runs normally. Brand now MacBook Pro.
