iTunes is huge, and when I try to resize it (Bottom right 'button'), the Dock shows up. I tried to hide the dock, move it to the left/right, and iTunes is still lower than that area. So, ultimately is there a way I can resize iTunes without clicking on the bottom right?

This might be a little hard to explain, but will be easier if you have an MBP to do this exercise. My touchpad/trackpad, is fine, except for that when tapped in the lower left quadrant (where you normally click) it makes a click noise (from the pad itself) tapping anywhere else yields no sound. I pushed hard on the pad, and kinda pressured it in every which way, and every time I do, the clicking stops for about a minute or so.

I think it may of involved the ~ key. Does anyone know what it might be as it would be very useful? Last week she managed to move the dock to the left of the screen instead of the bottom with what looked like a single keystroke. However there may of been some kind of trackpad swipe involved.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm using iTunes 9.2.1 and it states that my music library is 159.99gb with 25,994 songs, however the folder containing music files is 171.26gb with 30,309 files. This is a difference of 11.27gb and 4315 files. The folder only contains mp3 or m4a files with their respective album and band folders; no images, text files or anything else. The iTunes folder is located elsewhere. I added the folder to iTunes again to see if there were 11gb of songs I'd forgotten to add and there was no difference. I even deleted all iTunes settings and the current library and added the folder again and it is still missing 11.27gb.
I'm about 95% sure that none of my music collection is missing from iTunes so my first thought was that iTunes is just reading the file sizes and count inaccurately and it really is 171.26gb, but I'm not sure.
Can anyone think of a solution without going though my entire collection and comparing it to iTunes to see if anything is missing?
I dragged a folder from an external hard drive into iTunes containing the songs I want on my new MacBook.
But, for some reason the file size shown in iTunes is 47.66GB whereas Finder says my iTunes Music folder is 50.38GB
I'm must be hitting some strange key combination / trackpad gesture (I just got a macbook pro) and my font size in safari keeps randomly increasing. This happens on the desktop with the icons as well.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn the past, on Itunes 11.0, when I opened the program, there would be a bar on top that would read, "File, Edit, View, Controls, Store, Help" and below , a status bar that would tell me the number of tracks in a playlist and duration, "7 Songs, 28:20 Total Time, 51 MB"..Those controls/status bars are gone in the new 11.4 edition of iTunes. Â

Typically in Itunes when "music" is clicked at the bottom of the songs window there is an autofill option. I no longer see that option. Where did it go? I want to change what playlist my Itouch syncs with and I can't without having access to the autofill feature.

When I moved files from my 27" iMac the iTunes window is so large that I cannot see the bottom third of the window on the 15" screen. And I cannot access the lower right-hand corner so that I can resize the screen to fit the 15" window. Therefore I cannot see about a third of the music currently in iTunes. If I encounter the same problem with other applications or files, is there a solution that works for all occurrences?

The part that tells you how many albums you have, the total playing time, and size. Currently, this is displayed with the European system of using commas instead of points as the decimal separators. I may be crazy, but I'm pretty sure it used to have points and then a few days ago, it switched on me. I noticed it after I installed an update. Is there a way of changing it back?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhenever I click on the "Album" column header, I'm sent to the bottom of the column. For instance, when I want to change the playing order I will alternate between the "Artist" and "Album" columns. When I click on other column headers, I don't get this problem.Â
While this isn't a life-altering issue, I find it super annoying.Â
Is there something I can do to stop this from happening? Or is this a glitch?Â
I may have found a solution for all the people out there who upgraded their hd's to a 7200rpm and have the clicking noise. Apple released a firmware update for the 7200rpm drives that shipped with the uMBP. You can get the file from here.I don't know if this will fix only the hd's shipped with the MBP or any 7200rpm drive but its worth a try.PS: Also i ask that anyone who tries this please report back on your results.

Whenever I click the Photos tab itunes on the far right away from the Summary tab I get the spinning ball of wait.I check the Activity Monitor and iTunes is at the top in red (Not Responding) %CPU 200.1.I have tried throwing out the many suggested Ipod Photo Cache folder in the iPhoto Library and restarting and still if I try to choose the iPad folder I get the spinning ball.I have an iphone 4 which also has a Photos tab and it will open the Photos tab just fine.

White macbook pro that was purchased in December of 2010.I was listening to music on ITunes last night, the music stopped and the computer was making some weird noise and froze up. I held the power button to shut it down. Let it sit for a couple minutes and then powered it back on. When it powered it on, it still made the clicking noise, and displayed a blank screen that had a flashing folder with a "?" in it. That's all it did. The noise was coming from the left side of the laptop.

I'm trying to buy more episodes for a show (Supernatural S9 if it makes any difference) and I try to click the SD button, but it doesn't change anything. I've only bought a few episodes of this show separately instead of a season pass because I've already seen several episodes, therefore I can't download them from cloud. the HD button next to the title and season of the show disappears after clicking the button, but nothing else changes. I tried signing out of my account and trying it on my sister's, and the switch between them worked perfectly fine? could this be an error with my account? I've tried restarting iTunes and my laptop, and nothing is changing.

In VIEWING (to print) my iTunes music (in finder), how can i view subfolders without clicking on the triangle of each main folder?I am trying to print a list of all my music. When I auto size all columns or just auto size the Name column in a playlist, it gets the width of that column wrong. It's the only one where this happens, but it tends to undershoot by a few characters. It's as though it's trying to estimate how much space to leave for the Ping button -- does anyone use that button?but gets it wrong. This has been happening since 10.6 and still happens with 10.6.1.Â

Does anyone know how to set the default screen size for iTunes? I migrated from an iMac and everytime I open iTunes, the screen is too big for my MacBook Pro. I have to use the zoom function to get it to fit the screen. Where are these settings stored? I have removed all the .plist files that I could find and the issue persists.
