So iTunes keeps crashing when trying to "Match". I just want a single Playlist with a few selected items to be available to Apple TV so how do I change things? As a result of trying to find a way into iCloud to amend things I started a process that threatened to erase all my Address Book and Calendar data and couldn't easily stop it - kept going round in circles! So over the past few months I have noticed this small bug/glitch in iTunes... and it is very annoying.
I cannot drag songs from playlists into different order. iTunes just doesn't let me drag at all.
I have to quit iTunes, then restart it. It will work for one time, but as soon as I got back to "Library" and then try to go back and edit a playlist, I have to exit iTunes.
Any fix for this?

My Garageband files are huge (10 minutes songs, 20 tracks...).
I backed them up to iCloud. I just want to know if it is safe to delete them from my Mac? If I'm not currently working on the particular song, it doesn't make sense to store it on my computer.
Is this safe to do? I just want to make sure I don't lose anything. I guess I can always download (save it to my computer) again from iCloud, or connect to iCloud from another Mac if this one died?
I just remember when Apple first introduced Garageband, I tried to backup all my songs and a lot of the data/tracks got lost in the process.

I recently did the mobileme to icloud swtich to keep my me.com email.Since Snow Leopard doesn't have an iCloud option and the MobileMe account option no longer works, I had to switch to create a new IMAP account with all of iCloud's server info.Ever since, the mac mail.app has been downloading messages practically non-stop.Every few minutes it will download 5000+ messages and growl notifications will fill up my screen. My mail folder is currently at 20gb and growing. I know there isn't that much mail data on the server as I originally had my mobileme limit set much lower. I tried deleting the account and creating a new one again, however it still happens.

I transferred all my itunes library to an external hard drive.I had all my songs in itunes and then went to "preferences" and set itunes to look on my external hard drive for my itunes. Then I went to "library" and then "consolidate", and it moved all my library over to my external. I can verify that my songs are all there on my externalHowever, now, itunes won't play any songs of mine. I double click on the song in itunes and it just wont play. From time to time I need to selectively transfer some few songs from the one computer to the other one. Is there a clever way I can achieve this? I would like to transfer the files including the metadata.
When I click on devices (iPad, iPhone, iPod) in the sidebar of iTunes 10.6, iTunes crashes.
I therefore can't add playlists to the devices, because once the screen appears with the settings for the device, the program crashes.

I may have found a solution for all the people out there who upgraded their hd's to a 7200rpm and have the clicking noise. Apple released a firmware update for the 7200rpm drives that shipped with the uMBP. You can get the file from here.I don't know if this will fix only the hd's shipped with the MBP or any 7200rpm drive but its worth a try.PS: Also i ask that anyone who tries this please report back on your results.

Whenever I click the Photos tab itunes on the far right away from the Summary tab I get the spinning ball of wait.I check the Activity Monitor and iTunes is at the top in red (Not Responding) %CPU 200.1.I have tried throwing out the many suggested Ipod Photo Cache folder in the iPhoto Library and restarting and still if I try to choose the iPad folder I get the spinning ball.I have an iphone 4 which also has a Photos tab and it will open the Photos tab just fine.

White macbook pro that was purchased in December of 2010.I was listening to music on ITunes last night, the music stopped and the computer was making some weird noise and froze up. I held the power button to shut it down. Let it sit for a couple minutes and then powered it back on. When it powered it on, it still made the clicking noise, and displayed a blank screen that had a flashing folder with a "?" in it. That's all it did. The noise was coming from the left side of the laptop.
