On my previous macbook pro, which dated from early 2011, I had a lot more symbols and I was able to see all the different lettertypes(in every language). On the new system this is unfortunately not the case. can I get a previous version of the texteditor on my OSX Lion? If yes, how?Â

can I revert back to previous version 10.7.2 as I have updated software to 10.7.3 and now my printers won't work. They are Canon MP630 and Canon PIXME Pro 9000 mk ll..I have contacted canon and they have sent me the latest udates and said they are compatable upto 10.7.x but the aren't compatable with 10.7.3 the update failed. The latest update for Java is causing issues on our website, disabling Mac users on OS 10.6 and 10.7 from uploading or downloading images using a java applet. There was less distortion and I could notice more details (smoother sound). I tried this with a few more albums, and the result was the same each time: better sound. This confused me; how does ripping actually work? And what could be responsible for the sound difference? P.S. X Lossless Decoder also produces results different from iTunes.

Going back to iMovie 6.0.4 was definitely the right thing to do. Adding Flip4Mac Pro solved all my file importing problems. Now, can I delete 8.0? Or does 6.0 share some files with it and will I have a problem if 8.0 is deleted? I also have to say that, the more I use my iMac, the better I like it. There are so many standard features in OSX Leopard that I am finding new tricks every day.

Anybody have the 12WX working correctly with lion with no previous wacom installed? hooked it up right away with no problems on a leopard mac pro. had working windows xp on virtual machine no problems.with imac lion, would not run the install drivers from disk (PPC). so installed the latest 6.2 driver and a bamboo intuos 3 driver as recomended by wacom. installed driver for pen. the bamboo driver worked for a day or so ( with no option keys working), but had 4 point calibration unlike the two point from leopard install.now, neither are recognizing a tablet connection, only works as monitor. uninstalled. tried an older driver 6.15. ran fix disk permissions, reset pram. restarted(+++). dis and re connected. reinstalled again and again. still no luck getting it running on a new mid 2011 imac with lion.

On her laptop now, there are no previous recipients in Mail. As it turns out, she really needs these. They are on the iMac. I need to move that list from the iMac to her laptop.
I have looked in Library/application support, but can find no entry for Mail or Address book. I know that there must be a file somewhere with this data.

It appears that my apps don't reopen to their last state. For example I can close safari with the red x and when I reopen it safari just goes to my home page. Even if I had multiple tabs open it just opens a single tab with the homepage. Other apps seem to start from scratch as well. I have the restore option checked in system preferences. Both my IMac and my MacBook do this.

I've searched Safari's preferences and can't find anything to disable this. Even emptied cache. No luck. Same is true with certain other apps.Â
This is not good, for the obvious reasons. Is there any way to disable this? I know about logging in and out, seperate accounts, private browsing, but this is crazy as it requires MORE work not less. Whatever happened to keeping it simple?Â

I recently bought a new MacBook Pro with Retina Display, and when asked to restore files from Time Machine during Setup Assistant, I receive the error "You can't restore this backup because it was created by a different model of mac."Â The machine that I had was a 2011 MacBook Pro 15" and I regularly backed up with Time Capsule using Time Machine. The most important thing for me is to transfer over all of my applications, my iPhoto and iTunes libraries, everything in my keychain, and all of my documents. The reason I'd prefer not to use Migration Assistant is because I don't want to do any of that manually, I'm just trying to find a simple solution that will restore to a previous snapshot with quick, easy steps.Â
