MacBook Pro :: Apple Website Won't Let To Manage A/c
Jun 7, 2012
I think there is something wrong with the apple website as it won't let me manage my a/c properley and emails sent to me to reset my password have not reached me.
Info:
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Iphoto 11- v 9.1.5
When I try to watch videos on the Apple website, they won't play. I have a Macbook Pro with OSX Lion. I'm not sure when it stopped being able to play them. I know it had no problem when I first bought the computer 2 years ago.I don't have problems on any other websites. All my software is up to date. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash.
Just brought home a brand new 13" MacBook Air. Went to the Apple website and couldn't play any videos. YouTube videos play fine, and the Apple Trailers website plays fine. It's just [URL] that won't play videos.
There are no extensions in Safari (so DivX isn't the problem). QuickTime 10 is installed. It's fresh out of the box. Haven't changed a thing. what we need to do to get videos playing from the Apple website?
I am thinking about getting the new (or old) 13" MBP and i like to have a lot of space... Is the upgrade for HDD on the apple website worth the money or is it cheaper to just buy one off the internet. Also as i dont know much about MBP hardware, can i just buy any laptop hard drive and insert it myself...
I am unable to access a website on my macbook (which I used to be able to access) that I am able to access using my iPad and IPhone. I have cleared my history, caches, and everything else I can find. I upgraded to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 and Safari 8 thinking this would possible solve the problem, but I am having the same issue.Â
While trying to fix my disabled USB ports on my MBP, (Installing some sort of USB driver that wasn't made for my specific OS, which is 10.7.4, which came from the apple website.) I rebooted my computer and I notice that once the loggin screen shows up the cursor won't budge. Then I try hitting Enter on my mac and the arrow keys a little. Nothing. Then I try using every key on the keyboard. Absolutely nothing. Tried resetting the PRAM, SMC, AND tried using Safe Boot. Nothing. At this point I wanted to smash my computer or smash something technology related. The only thing that works on my computer now is the little slim of hope that I call Windows 7 which I am posting this from.Is there ANYTHING I can do to enable my Trackpad and Keyboard again?
I thought that I would just point out that when I went to watch the iPod touch Guided Tour on Apple's website, this showed up:I would also like to point out that I upgraded to Snow Leopard, I didn't install Quicktime 7, meaning that Apple's own website doesn't support the newest version on Quicktime.
Been trying to dl 10.6.4 combo for the past 3 days and getting max dl speeds of 40-60Kbs. All the usual suspects eliminated: cable modem, router, and traceroute to the server showed no significant lags. All other downloads normal. Sent an email to Apple yesterday, then tried the dl again today. Got this message: "Due to a scheduled upgrade of Apple's support systems, some features of the website are currently unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience."
I'm planning on installing Windows 7 RC via boot camp when it comes out, but I've lost the Leopard disc needed to install the drivers. Apple's website has Boot Camp Update 2.1 for Windows Vista 32. will this work, in other words, does this have all the drivers needed for the installation?
c2002 eMac that had to have the OS reinstalled. It is running Safari 1.0.3. I have installed all updates via the software updater and the issues I am having are the aluminum keyboard is no longer functioning correctly. When I go to apple/support to download updates the page will not load fully on safari preventing me from installing the needed updates.Â
Just bought my first macbook last night, and after trying for hours I have still been unable to download any new widgets for my dashboard. I click on the utility in the dashboard to get more widgets, which redirects me to the apple website. After I find one I like, and click down [URL]
I have the developers iOS 6 Beta on my iPhone 4s. I need the latest iTunes 10.6.3 to sync with iTunes. I went to www.itunes.com as it told me to and I went to the downloads page. Usually you enter your email and click the download button. My problem is there is is no download button or email box! I need to download the latest iTunes and I can't. I did a software update, but it does include iTunes I tried it on Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, all coming up with the same thing. I am also using a Mac.
In grad school renting a furnished apt for the summer, and trying to hook up HP printer (4215) to my Macbook that runs Lion. I've noticed on the discussions there are weird things that go on with HP and Lion, so I followed the advice of another discussion and downloaded the software/drivers noted for HP from the Apple website (software update did not detect). Â
Now, when I go into system preferences to add the printer, the printer shows up to be added, but forces me to click "add" to add and download the software - which I don't need, having already downloaded it. As other people have mentioned, this results in an error "this software is not currently available?
Is there something stupid I'm missing? It's a USB connection, printer is recognized by the computer, but the automatic software won't download and I'm not sure what to do with the software I DID download to get it to be recognized. Â
I'm trying to figure out how does the cooling system in MBP's work. I've been using FanControl for quite a while (the one by Lobotomo), it does the job pretty straightforward - just dynamically changes the fan speed. But when I was using default settings the fans were at low speed even when temp was around 80C. Any idea what default settings for Apple notebooks are? I mean, lower and upper thresholds, how and when does it kick in the fans etc.
The little (X) in the lower left screen that you use to click on to manage your widgets is not opening up. I have widgets in the folder (library) but the widgets manager is not there. How can it be restored or downloaded from somewhere?
Info: MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3), I love all my Macs
My wife's 2011 iPhoto album is 72GB! Most of this was 720p iPhone 4 video, in 2012 she has a 4s. Is there a good way (Automator perhaps) to import photos into iPhoto but only link video and keep them stored on a NAS? I can archive previous years videos in other iPhoto libraries, but would like to come up with a solution where the last 18 months video takes up less than 30GB so a MacBook Air would be feasible.Â
I am currently managing 20 iPads on a macbook. I would like to manage the same 20 iPads on a new macbook pro. I have logged into the iTunes account on the new machine and see our apps but not the devices. How do i get the devices to be shown on new comp?
i'm sure there are many people who use spare batteries like me. but how do you manage them though? i find it very annoying having to charge them one by one. charging 1 battery takes a few hours, which is almost fine. but when you have a spare battery, it takes twice as much longer to charge them both. not fun. a separate battery charger will help greatly reducing charging time
I want all wires gone! I have right now: A/C extension power strip 3-splitter monitor: power, dvi monitor: power, dvi modem: ethernet, cable cable, link to router, power router: link from modem, power, ethernet usb keyboard mac pro power
