May 1, 2012When I try to watch videos on the Apple website, they won't play. I have a Macbook Pro with OSX Lion. I'm not sure when it stopped being able to play them. I know it had no problem when I first bought the computer 2 years ago.I don't have problems on any other websites. All my software is up to date. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash.

MacBook Air :: Apple Website Videos Won't Play?
Jun 20, 2012Just brought home a brand new 13" MacBook Air. Went to the Apple website and couldn't play any videos. YouTube videos play fine, and the Apple Trailers website plays fine. It's just [URL] that won't play videos.
There are no extensions in Safari (so DivX isn't the problem). QuickTime 10 is installed. It's fresh out of the box. Haven't changed a thing. what we need to do to get videos playing from the Apple website?

Jun 3, 2012In grad school renting a furnished apt for the summer, and trying to hook up HP printer (4215) to my Macbook that runs Lion. I've noticed on the discussions there are weird things that go on with HP and Lion, so I followed the advice of another discussion and downloaded the software/drivers noted for HP from the Apple website (software update did not detect). Â
Now, when I go into system preferences to add the printer, the printer shows up to be added, but forces me to click "add" to add and download the software - which I don't need, having already downloaded it. As other people have mentioned, this results in an error "this software is not currently available?
Is there something stupid I'm missing? It's a USB connection, printer is recognized by the computer, but the automatic software won't download and I'm not sure what to do with the software I DID download to get it to be recognized. Â

Jun 25, 2012I started having trouble when I go to differant websites. Sometimes the pictures for related stories don't load and I'm left with a small blue box with a question mark in it. If I go to sites like Hulu or Utube and I select a video it doesn't load at all so I can't watch anything at all. I have no trouble watching videos I have in "Finder", they play just fine.

Oct 28, 2008I'm not sure how to fix this problem guys... I tried this in three different browsers (Safari 3, Firefox 3, Camino). When watching a video on Youtube, it always defaults to standard quality. When I click on high quality, it gives me an error message saying the video is no longer available. I sent my friend a link who opened it in his Safari and it shows the high quality one. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?
