I have lost the Apple website as the default lwhen I open Safari - is a jumble of weird numbers/letters. How do I reset to Apple?

I have a website that I need to open with Safari as it won't display properly in Firefox 3.6.3. From the Address Bar in Safari, I dragged a link to my desktop, right-clicked and checked it to always open with Safari. The name of the link is something like "PITA.webloc"
When it opens that first time, it dose open in Safari, but subsequently, always opens in FF. I also right-clicked to "Get Info" and indicated it to always open with Safari. While "Get Info" shows that correctly, it still always opens in FF.
When trying a web site (insightitaly.com), it will not open. Then my computer gets slow and confused and requires a shut down. Why?

I have a Windows Desktop PC, Windows Laptop and an iMac plus Macbook Pro, on the desktop pc Safari will not open [URL], yet on my Windows Laptop it will! Both are the same version of Safari, I have uninstalled and re installed Safari with no joy.
Does anyone know how to do a clean uninstall of Safari on Windows, because I think that may solve it.
Safari (version 5.4.1 and earlier) cannot open the blog on the website[URL]. The webmaster tells me he uses Wordpress for that blog. Is this a known Safari problem (Firefox and Opera open the blog) and if so is there a solution to correct this ? I use an iMac running on Lion.

I have installed all updates via the software updater and the issues I am having are the aluminum keyboard is no longer functioning correctly. When I go to apple/support to download updates the page will not load fully on safari preventing me from installing the needed updates.Â

Just upgraded a Snow Leopard Server to Lion Server 10.7.3 and the Web Service works along with all of my virtual hosts BUT the default site that shows isn't the one that Server.app says should show, its the first virtual host that shows.
I've tried adding "ServerName myserver.mydomain.com" params into the 0000_any_80_.conf which hasn't worked. Anyone know a workaround for this? Can't use the Wiki or Webmail without it.

When I try to watch videos on the Apple website, they won't play. I have a Macbook Pro with OSX Lion. I'm not sure when it stopped being able to play them. Just brought home a brand new 13" MacBook Air. Went to the Apple website and couldn't play any videos. YouTube videos play fine, and the Apple Trailers website plays fine. It's just [URL] that won't play videos.
There are no extensions in Safari (so DivX isn't the problem). QuickTime 10 is installed. It's fresh out of the box. Haven't changed a thing. what we need to do to get videos playing from the Apple website?

all of a sudden this mackeeper website keeps opening in safari. It opens even when I click to go to a different web page.I close the window, a new one is always popping up. While trying to fix my disabled USB ports on my MBP, (Installing some sort of USB driver that wasn't made for my specific OS, which is 10.7.4, which came from the apple website.) I rebooted my computer and I notice that once the loggin screen shows up the cursor won't budge. Then I try hitting Enter on my mac and the arrow keys a little. Nothing. Then I try using every key on the keyboard. Absolutely nothing. Tried resetting the PRAM, SMC, AND tried using Safe Boot. Nothing. At this point I wanted to smash my computer or smash something technology related. The only thing that works on my computer now is the little slim of hope that I call Windows 7 which I am posting this from.Is there ANYTHING I can do to enable my Trackpad and Keyboard again?

I reset my Apple keyboard (I use a keyboard and monitor at home connected to the macbookpro) and now when I try to change the volume justing F11 or F12, I get the desktop....or something else. How do you reset the defaults if the default keys aren't the default now? I mean, I looking at a key that shows a volume symbol on it, but that is not what happens. Sorry for typos, but the computer stalls for about 5 seconds every 30....
PS And the keyboard is about a year old and the "s" key has totally vanished. :-)
