May 27, 2012I own both an iMac and a MacBook.Lately I've been trying to use [URL] and while the website does work, it displays totally wrong on my iMac ?I looked at all I could think of (not a newbie, but not savvy enough to go look in the coding to look for errors there).The one section from the site which displays correctly is one without a menu on both right and left. It's a blog. Here's a clue, I guess. I tried with both Safari 5.1.6 and Firefox 13.0, with the exact same result. But on my Macbook it displays perfect! I am using Firefox 12.0 on it. So I downgraded to Firefox 12.0 on the iMac... no success.Of course I also cleared the cache, closed the browser, and the computer... no luck.I then removed all plugins, since it was the only remaining difference...I thought it could be a difference in display... altough I couldn't see how... I changed it from 1920x1080 to the ones similar to my Macbook's (1280x1024 and 1280x720)... Of course it was the same, just more blurry. It doesn't make sense and I hate it when it doesn't make sense!Of course I hate it even more that I can't use that website on my iMac!!! (or with a lot of hassle).Â

Apr 30, 2012Loaded OS Lion on iMac yesterday and transferred mail from MobileMe to iCloud. Spent hours trying to get mail working on desktop but finally succeeded. Shutting down overnight caused mail to quit working again. However, if I go to iCloud website the mail works OK. I know others have had mail problems with Lion? I've tried just about everything from Apple support.

Jun 5, 2014WIth using 2 desktop iMacs, we are both getting messages that 'Safari can't verify the identity of the website' or we get a message that the website cannot be found. Earlier today it could not find Apple Support Discussions. It does open some pages, but slowly. We use Airport Express, in between the iMacs, and have not had this problem before. I read on another site that I can power down the router. Â
What will happen if I unplug the Airport Express?  Do I loose my settings?  Also, what causes this issue?  It appears that other Mac users are reporting it now too. If unplugging is an answer, is there any specific order? Also, is there a way to turn off AIrport Express first, and should I do that?Â

Jun 26, 2012Firefox has this option on OSX (each frame on separate page), but safari seems to lack such an option. I need to print multiple frames (invoices from zencart) each on separate pages. When I try to print with Safari it will either try and print the selected frame, or it will print all the frames as it's laid out on the page (all printed on one page). Am I missing this option somewhere? Is there an extension I can try (already tried print plus to no avail)?

Aug 30, 2014About a week ago, we accidentally installed what we think is a bad version of a flash player when attempting to register a rewards card. We un-installed the software as soon as we realized it was not the correct website for the rewards card. Since then, we are getting a flashing pop-up ad in the right column of the browser as well as a video window that pops-up from left bottom of browser and then multiple windows in Safari will just open.

Sep 1, 2010I start a new job next week, and I will be doing a professional qualification alongside it. I have work to cover before I start, the information is all on a website. It specifies that you need windows and internet explorer to access the information. I can log in, but when I try to load the information, a new window opens, but the literature doesn't load. It works on a windows PC at the internet cafe however.
Does anyone have any ideas about how I could access the information, I have already tried changing the user agent on safari to internet explorer which hasn't helped. Anything I can do short of parallels?!

Oct 5, 2010I can't connect to a certain web site -[URL] I am running 10.6.4, and all my browsers - Safari, Firefox, Chrome - don't open that site. I get the same connection error that I would get when I enter something in the address bar that does not exist.
Funny thing is: I can connect to Zenfolio from my iPod touch on the same router. So it should be a problem with my computer - but what could be wrong? No entries in "Proxies", and the hosts file looks innocent as well...
