When I click and icon to display the options, the last option is in a different language ( I think it's in latin or something).The language on the actualy computer is set to English and I don't know how to fix this problem.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the 4 finger gestures built into OSX? I've looked around and found no way to override them. If nobody is knows directly how to accomplish this I'd also be interested in knowing what libraries the handlers may reside in so I can poke around and try and do it myself.
I'm also interested in trying to find a way to make 3 finger tap do a middle click. Or something along those lines.
How do I enable a single tap to left click and a 2 finger tap for right click in Windows 7 bootcamp? I have already installed all the bootcamp drivers and I can use 2 finger scroll on the trackpad. I would just rather tap rather than have to click the button.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe macbook pro unibody is a lot harder to click. When I first used it my whole arm was more sore. Now my pointer finger and hand in general is getting more and more sore. My old MacBook was so much easier to click. I am thinking of buying a PC and going the hackintosh route. already do use tap to click, hence my finger hurting. If you try the new unibody next to the old macbook pros, the older ones where a LOT easier to click.

I've just finished installing Windows 7 32-bit on my Macbook which has 4 GB of RAM. But Right Click doesn't seem to work (except by using shift + F10), and double finger scroll doesn't work either. No Driver CD came with Windows 7. So, do I need to download a special driver to get these to work?

I've seen some posts where one or a couple of these problems have arisen but not all simultaneously. The trash is there somewhere because I can delete but only via finder. The dock however cannot be coaxed back into existence and I can't activate any of the desktop icons by clicking on them. I also can't minimise the windows - the red and green buttons work fine but the yellow (although there and blinks when clicked) doesn't have any effect.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWe've had a Macbook now for about 18 months - no problems. However, last night it was very slow in starting-up and then we found it impossible to move any icons around the screen (click+drag). We have just five small folders on the desktop.
Although 'hiding' is 'on', the dock has also disappeared completely and settings for the dock cannot be changed under preferences.
The Macbook won't turn off under 'shut-down', we have to shut-down by holding pressing 'on' button.
Every now and then, an alert pops up on my computer, but doesn't go to the front of the screen. I end up having to restart my computer because I can't click to find the application and stuff. Is there some way to fix this?

That's what I want to do on my mac, how can I do that! I use vox player to listen music, so to play a song I have to doble click on the folder then prees the song, what i want to do is, right click on the folder then show's and option who say "Play in VOX" same's as windows. While this seemed to work fine for quite awhile it doesn't seem to be working at all now.
I understand that I need to completely close the program for it to work, but whether I close it with control+Q or by using the drag down menu, option+click doesn't bring up the desired options.

View 16 Replies View RelatedThe thing is that about a month or so I decided to change my dock skin, and just the dock, not any icon in particular. Later on I decided to go back to Leopard's original skin, once I replaced non-original skins with the original ones and had dock reseted by introducing "kill all Dock" on terminal, dock successfully reseted and looks like the original one... but somehow since then I can't no longer right-click on any of the icons in it, just can't, now I have to use cmd+Q to exit any of the applications I'm opening from dock. All other dock functions are working perfectly, like size bar and position changing.
The files I replaced/erased are:
scurve-I.png
scurve-m.png
scurve-sm.png
scurve-xl.png
By the way, I tried using "killall Dock" over and over again after replacing those archives and tried resetting dock using candybar application, but none of those worked for me so far.
I recently installed snow leopard to a new hard drive. Before I formatted the hard drive with leopard on it, there was duplicate everything when I right clicked and used open with, but after I formatted the old drive, most of them disappeared... except for one. Right now, I'm seeing two VLC players and I don't know why. I tried opening a file with each of them and they both point to the same VLC so I was wondering how I can remove the duplicate.

Drag an icon away and they stay but are covered immediately when the icons rearrange themselves. There are 4 or 5 of them including one hiding behind the trash. View 7 Replies View RelatedI have several iMacs in my office with Lion and Mail 5.1. I have a user who wants to View attachments as Icons to ensure all are attached prior to sending. Unlike all the other iMacs, hers does not have the option "View in Place" and "View as Icon" when she right-clicks on the attachment.
I have found in other posts that you cannot set a defaul to ensure Icons or View in Place will always occur, and that the default depends on the type and size of attachment. I am not sure of that logic, but she can't even choose on an individual email basis. How can those options be enabled?

hi i'm not sure what happened, but for some reason my dock just messed up. i can't right click anything in the dock and the finder and trash icons are there, but they just disappeared!
So i haven't had one single problem with my Imac for 1.5 years until Yesterday I recently recieved a SD card that i purchased off ebay and stuck it into the side which I was expecting to popup but didn't This may or may not be the reason why my Imac is acting wierd but basically I cannot Left click at ALL, right click works, the internet works
The taskbar at the bottom with the icons do not have the title shown when I hover down the bottom either. I have a 2010 Imac with 12gb ram that i upgraded to.
