I've just finished installing Windows 7 32-bit on my Macbook which has 4 GB of RAM. But Right Click doesn't seem to work (except by using shift + F10), and double finger scroll doesn't work either. No Driver CD came with Windows 7. So, do I need to download a special driver to get these to work?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy imac core i7 arrive (it's great). However, the question I have is that when I double click (left) my my magic mouse (yes I enable the right/left click buttons). So when I double click the mouse on a web browser on the empty space (the space to the right of the red/yellow/green button, nothing happens. I want to send it to the bottom of the dock like in all of my previous mac. The double clicking of the mouse does nothing. Note: please don't confuse my simple question with the System Pref/Doc (minimize windows into application icon) situation. I know how to do that. I just want to minimize the current windows by double left clicking and sending it into the dock? How do I do that?

If nobody is knows directly how to accomplish this I'd also be interested in knowing what libraries the handlers may reside in so I can poke around and try and do it myself.

bought an apple mouse and it won't connect, but reading on the forums the scroll click won't work anyways. and to be honest i wasn't happy about spending $75 on a mouse.
can i buy any windows mouse to run on it? i'd assume yes but want to verify. what i need is a mouse with the center scroll click to grab objects in pro/e to rotate them, which i can't do right now and its making things more difficult than it should. suggestions on mouses, or ones that you know do or don't work. does not matter if its wireless or wired. and if i can be picky preferably black.
My workflow entails repetitive tasks that would be so much easier if I could set Leopard's (Safari's) default double-click functionality to select ALL text within the Google search box instead of having to use a triple-click. Does anyone know how to make this change to Leopard/Safari?

I'm having trouble with my new macbook pro where in some applications after scrolling down and stopping, I sometimes am unable to resume scrolling. I have tried shutting down the application, rebooting but nothing seems to work. Whenever this occurs I am still able to scroll fine in pages and safari but the preview app and xcode have been problematic for me.

I always used the upwards four finger scroll to get to the desktop but after installing Snow Leopard it doesn't work, they hide but then pop back straight away or go into expose mode. Is this a known problem?

Also, when you triple-click, it doesn't select all text within a sentence. Does anyone know what's wrong? I use BetterTouchTool. I tried restarting it - didn't change anything. I know on my late-08 macbook pro (10.5.6), i can double click on a browser page to minimize. i was pretty sure i could do this on my late 07 macbook, but now following a hard drive replacement and Snow Leopard install, I can't minimize firefox or safari via double clicking on the top of the browser. like i said i was pretty sure i could do this before.. but the macbook pro has been mine for a while, so i don't know 100% if im dreaming that or not. i checked the preferences for both and i didn't see a setting to be clicked....so either it stopped working with snow leopard, or it never worked on the late-07 models.

The macbook pro unibody is a lot harder to click. When I first used it my whole arm was more sore. Now my pointer finger and hand in general is getting more and more sore. My old MacBook was so much easier to click. I am thinking of buying a PC and going the hackintosh route. already do use tap to click, hence my finger hurting. If you try the new unibody next to the old macbook pros, the older ones where a LOT easier to click.

If I set the double click speed to its maximum value (System Preferences -> Mouse) I can no longer open with double click folders that are on my desktop while it still works from the finder. I got the same thing from the mouse and from the trackpad. I have OS X 10.5.6.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to copy over a specific cross (✚) character from the Character Palette to Photoshop, but when I double-click the cross it imports as another character and changes the font type to Myriad Pro. I try to change the font back to Lucida Grande but it just stays on Myriad Pro. I've noticed this happens with a few characters. I've had prior success with characters like command (⌘) which initially shows up as another character, and then I just change the font to Lucida Grande and it shows up correctly. I'm used to being able to just do a regular copy and paste in Windows but can't seem to figure it out on a Mac. (For example, you can copy and paste those characters I included above.) Edit: I just noticed the layer name actually comes up as ✚ so I'm not sure why it's not showig up in the actual layer. Here's a screenshot of the contextual layer menu.

In Leopard and older OS X's - you could double click the name of the window and it would minimize. Now with Snow Leopard...it doesn't work. Am I going crazy or is it hidden somewhere?

But on the desktop,if I right click the folder and click open it opens. But in finder it doesn't. I have shut down the computer and waited and re-started but still no help. This also happens when I use pages, and numbers.
