When I see some albums in the the iTunes Store I want to check whether I have some of the songs already. The Search function in the Store only refers to the store and not to my Library. So how can I open a second window in iTunes (one with the Store and one with my Library) to make it easier to compare?

I was wondering what the performance is like on storing all my itunes library on the TC. Can it be done properly? Does is work as expected? I will have my Mac Mini hooked up to the TC with ethernet, so is this ample?
View 1 Replies View RelatedTwo songs purchased from iTunes store today. Download looked OK, new purchases do show in Store>Purchased list. I added ratings, and songs went to smart playlist for top rated songs. BUT songs do not appear in Library>Music where all songs are. Search indicates they do not exist. It is from this library I drag to other lists. But without them there I am stumped. Never seen this before.

I accidentally erased a music album that I purchased on iTunes. How can I get the iTunes store to recognize that it is no longer in my iTunes library and download it again?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iTunes library has apparently filled my entire iMac (according to the computer I have over 97 days' worth of music). I would like to know 1) how to properly save my iTunes library to an external hard drive and 2) how to use iTunes so that it uses the library on the external drive.

Click Change Store to view this article". If I click to change the Store from the Spanish to the American store, I have to fill the data but my ID apple is not working on the "foreign" store. What can I do? Is there a way to buy / download items from a different Itunes stores?Â

On 6 th April my BT homehub2 updated it's firmware and that's when the problems started. Broadband went down completely and powerlineadapters adapters for bt vision fried. After 2 telephone support calls we eventually got the home hub reset and connected to broadband. Bt supplied two new powerlineadapters and bt vision is now working. Laptop, iPhones and iPad (and bt vision) all connect fine and work completely well.Â
My iMac running OS X 10.7.3, appears to work in that it connects no problem to home hub and when you run diagnostics it says your Internet connection appears to be working normally... However I cannot get a web page to load - I have tried chrome, Firefox and safari. The bizarre thing is using Outlook I can send and receive email, also my apple devices are still syncing via the iCloud - that would suggest that the iMac is indeed connecting wirelessly to the router and sending and receiving data - just no web pages at all - also it can't connect to things like iTunes store or apples app store... Everything was working fine until the firmware update! Â
Also may/may not be related but when I log in now I always have to manually connect to router, it always connects fine but it used to do it automatically, also recently upgraded to Lion and I have my doubts there too?Â

I have been trying to find my current charges for apps and wish to return the ones that are not suitable. I follow the steps as described and after signing I have gotten the message cannot find iTunes store and it leaves me there. The instructions given do not pertain to the setup of the iTunes store.

Have just upgraded my macbook to Lion. I logged into the app store, bought, downloaded and installed Lion no problem.
After upgrade I returned to the app store to download ibooks author. I can find ibooks author but when I try and install the app I have to sign in and I get a "connection failed" error message.
The same happens in iTunes when I try and view my account - "The network connection failed"Â
I can access the internet with no problems - including secure sites. I can access software update with no problems.Â
I have made no changes to my network settings - could sign in and download apps before upgrade, unable to after upgrade.

I just bought a $10 iTunes card and I want to by iMovie from the Mac App Store. (which brings my balance to $16.48) My problem is whenever I try to buy this product I'm sent to the billing page. I don't have a credit card so I select "none" and try to purchase iMovie again. But it just sends me back to the billing page. I don't want to buy another card in order to redeem something on the billing page so what do I do?

I am working with logic express 8 and would like to assign software instruments such as clarinet and celli to the midi-files of my keyboard. Yesterday I couldn't find woodwind instruments in the library of logic so I started to download mainstage 2 - which seemed to extend the library of logic. But unfortunately some software instruments (for example cello...) disappeared and instead of extending my library in logic mainstage made it smaller.

My search skills are seriously lacking here, as I cant find a guide to do what I want.I currently have a windows 7 pc and an iphone 3g plus ipod touch which sync via the windows 7 pc.I have a 27" imac arriving on tuesday and want to transfer the itunes library from the windows machine to the new imac. What is the easiest way to achieve this?
View 11 Replies View RelatedWhy do they store files in that library package and not in Finder?? This really drives me crazy and I feel like there has to be some sort of benefit that I'm not seeing. It looks like in Aperture I can choose to import photos to folders that are outside of the Library but you still have to manually choose where etc. It seems like in a perfect world, the files would show up exactly as the do in iPhoto, organized in folder by the Events that they reside in. And I can't even ctrl-click a picture in Aperture and say "Show in Finder" or anything! The reason I'm trying to do this is so that I can upload pictures to Facebook, as the Facebook uploader built into both Apps are extremely limited.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHopefully someone will have the answer as I have searched high and low on this one. I have moved ALL my iTunes content (music, videos etc) to the Shared Music folder on my new WD MyBook World Edition 2 (just in case that's relevant info) and everytime my Mac attempts to load iTunes I have to repeatedly direct it to the library.xml file in the Shared Music folder.Surely there's a proper solution for this? Anyone else out there had this experience and has figured it out.I've noticed that it does this only the first time I open iTunes up, any subsequent bootup within a session is fine, but any restart of my Macbook Pro and I have to repeat this.

I am a long time PC user, and my girlfriend has just recently bought me a Macbook Pro. . So being a Pc user my entire life, i, of course have iTunes on my PC. My question is there any way to transfer my itunes library to my new Macbook Pro? Or is my only choice to do it with a Flash Drive?
View 5 Replies View RelatedTotal count is 729GB but that includes, everything in iTunes, Games, Apps, Music, Video, Movies, TV Shows, etc. How does everyone manage this, because right now I have everything on one external hard drive, but it is getting hard to manage. I just ordered a MBA 13" with the 256GB but I think I am only going to transfer stuff I watch listen to and use each day. I seem to spend hours fighting this thing each week, and just when I thought I was organized I find something else. How is everyone managing theirs?
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust got a new Macbook Pro and I want to transfer my I tunes playlist (songs, albums and podcasts to the new computer and then I will sync my ipod to the new computer. None of the music is bought or downloaded I simply copied from Cd's I own. The podcast are free downloaded one. I have tried dragging the library to a flash drive and uploading it on the new Macbook and all I get are the playlist folders not the contents. I have tried the share feature through Mobile me and that does not work either. I can always make it the topic of my "one to one" training this week but this is the last item in moving everything from the old Macbook pro so I can give it to our Daughter. Migration assistant did not seem to work either.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to transfer my iTunes library to a new MacBook that I'm buying today. What's the best way to do it? I need to sell this computer before I get the new one so I won't be able to put a cable between them. If I just copy across the music folder in my iTunes media directory, will this be enough? I have lots of album booklets and iTunes LP stuff that I want across as well. The other option is of course the DVD backup system through iTunes.
