Feb 17, 2012I've got a MacBook Pro running 10.5.8. Just took my first pictures/video with the GH2 using a Lexar 64GB SDXC card. When plugging in the USB cable that came witht the camera I got - "The disk you inserted was not recognized by this computer". I've written to Lexar but so far they've been no help. I know the file system for this card is FAT32 which is a PC format. I know this card will work with the Mac...but how is it accomplished?

Mar 12, 2010I'm getting the new Canon T2i camera very soon. It's supposed to be retail released in Mid March (which means next week hopefully). Canon supports the new SDXC format. SDXC was introduced in 2009 and it's supposed to be the replacement to SDHC. Supposed to be much higher read speeds. So does the iMac support the SDXC cards?

Mar 1, 2012As I wait for my Apple Extreme Base Station, I was wondering if it would make sense to create two different SSID networks. One Mixed b/g for 2.4GHz devices and another one solely for 5GHz. I know my ATV2 supports 802.11n in 5GHz. As I go down my list of devices in my house, I can't tell if my MacBook Pros support the 5GHz. Both MacBook Pros are Mid 2010 models.
The reason for creating two different networks is that the AEBS downgrades your network based on the lowest device (i.e. b/g would be forced on a n device if such device connects to your network).

Aug 4, 2010For those unaware of what Hybrid SLI is, it allows you to use the integrated and discrete video cards that the higher-end MacBook Pro's come with together simultaneously to get you better performance in graphic-intensive programs and games. I saw an option under the "High Performance" power plan settings that enables Hybrid SLI, but that disappeared after installing the Boot Camp drivers. I found out through a quick Google search that it would be easy to bring the option back, but does the MacBook Pro really support Hybrid SLI now and do you think it would be safe to use it on the MacBook Pro? Hybrid SLI could definitely add a few frames per second when playing games, so it would be a nice addition considering how every MacBook Pro has a mid-range video card.

May 23, 2012I recently updated to os 10.7.4 and found that i could no longer mount SMB file shares
I reverted back to 10.7.3 and all is well, SMB File Shares mount with out issue. this issue persists accross multiple workstations.
I called Apple inquire and was told Lion no longer supports SBM. Im not sure I recived actual fact, or if the tier two apple care opp was just sadley missinformed.
Has anyone els had a hard time mounting SMB file shares after updating to 10.7.4 ?
