I am having trouble seeing the words in the URL headings, or any of the other choices under the URL.I can hardly see the lettering across the top of the apple page. i.e. Safari file edit view history etc etc,How can I make all this larger? I am visually impaired, and I have set up (never use sizes smaller than 14)My URL addresses must be coming in as an 8 or smaller... Command plus enlarges the page, but not the wording at the top.
I know how to zoom in with the a/A option on Safari, but the zoomed in effect is only temporary. When I leave Safari and return I have to go through this each time.I know that Firefox can be set permanently to a certain text size (let's call it a permanently zoomed in size), but is that possible with Safari? If so,how?
Love my MBA but couldn't resist the temptation to pick up an HP 10" netbook since the Amazon price was pretty cheap ($399). It's a nice little machine which I can throw in my briefcase. However, do a little bit of work on this ten incher and then open up the MBA, and suddenly my 13" MBA looks looks huge! Each machine clearly has it's role. The netbook is fine for my daily train trip to work and to shlep around. It would not accompany me on a trip or for times requiring a lot of work and certainly does not sit in the same universe of power as the MBA, but as Randy Jackson would say, "It's a'right". I think the MBA has won my heart.
I have the brand new macbook pro (with Retina display) and I wish to make a picture larger to upload to YouTube as my background using iPhoto. I have updated all my software.
I have a 50GB windows partition through bootcamp. The problem with it is that it's too small and i constantly have to uninstall games to put new ones on. How can i re-size it without backing up all my saved games, removing the partition and making a new one?
How do you make the documents larger in Excel with the iMac? I have tried to change font size, view larger, etc. I still am unable to get the look I get from myPC.
Is there a way to make all text appear larger in all or most of my programs including the desktop? I wear glasses and have a difficult time writing and reading text?
With Character Viewer open, the "Pictographs" and the "Emoji" characters appear too small to see their details on my 13" MacBook Pro. Is there a way to make them look bigger so I can see their differences better without having to click on each one?Â
Is there a way to make song names in iTunes display larger like they did in Front Row, so if you are across the room you can pick songs with a remote easier?Â
While in MS Word and other programs, the dialog box when choosing from the menu is pretty small, with small type. Can these field input boxes be made larger with larger, more readable text?
For example, when I'm doing Find/Replace in MS Word, the input field boxes are very small, even though I have a 20" monitor.
fonts must be messed up in Snow Leopard. Some system things display strange fonts. For example, my user name in upper right hand corner of the screen doesn't look right.ALso, the font on the "tabs," in Safari is not correct, and I can compare it to other SL computers.
I have recently got some awesome collection of font from URL but as first time mac user i dont know how to install them on my mac book . I need to install them as quickly a possible for my designing project .
I recently sold my desktop PC so that I can be more mobile. I'm trying to decide between the 13" MBP refurbished from apple ($1019) or the Macbook Air 11.6 ($1000). I have an iPad and an iPhone and love the portability iOS has. I would like to have a laptop for typing longer emails, surfing the web, syncronizing itunes content, and converting movies in handbrake for my apple tv. I realize the airs 1.4 core 2 will take considerably longer for handbrake conversions than the 2.4Ghz MBP. I am considering using the macbook air as my only computer for a year or so when I will then get a desktop system.
Can I practically use the 11.6, or should I just get the larger, bulkier MBP?
I would have thought, given the pace of innovation, that we might have had hard drives larger than 1 TB by now. Has anyone heard of any potential rumors?
I'm about to configure my 2006 MP with one of Apple's RAID cards using RAID5. I currently have 4x 750GB drives that I can use, but I can see needing more space in the not too distant future. When I do need more space, can I simply drop in a 2TB drive, let the RAID system reconfigure itself, and repeat this until I have all 4 drives in place? Is there a better or different way to do this? I know that if one of the drives is larger than the others, then only a drive space equivalent to the smaller drives will be used in RAID5. After addition of the fourth drive (per the above scheme), will the array then use the full 2TB of each drive?
Where are the larger faster WD drives? The 1TB 5200rpm drive has been out for several months, in the garbage MyPassport configuration. What is the holdup to releasing these as bare drives? Also, isn't there supposed to be a WD 640gb 7200rpm drive? It seem like 2.5" drive tech and/or distribution is really lagging.
Title says it all. Basically, I reformatted my new flash drive to MS-DOS (which I think/suspect it was already) and files copied onto the flash drive become much larger. For example, a 275 megabyte folder full of images turned into a 425 megabyte folder-even when dragged off the flash drive.
What could cause this? I do suspect that it's a labeling error, as the file doesn't act like it's gained size.
I bought my second WD Elements 1.5 TB External HD last night and I cleaned out my old 250 GB LaCie External HD today. I know the 1.5 TB should read at about 1.4 TB and the 250 GB has always read at about 232 GB. Suddenly I have them at 1.5 TB and 249.4 GB respectively.
Sounds like things the way they should be, I know, but anyone who's been paying attention knows something's just not right there. Anyone know what happened? And if it's not a glitch tell me how to reproduce the result on my other HDs.
I deleted my Time Machine backup and started again. But when I selected the newly blank drive to backup on i was told 504GB's was needed for the backup and i only had 495 free (Iomega 500GB HD). But my MBP's HDD is 500GB and has like 100GB's free? Whats this 104GB extra?
Every time I open a web page I have to Command+ to enlarge the content so I can see it easier. Is there a way to default to the larger size so I don't have to do the command each time?

I have an early-2008 iMac with 2.66GHz processor, 4 Gig RAM and a 500Gig Hard Drive. Can I increase Hard Drive size in any way? I also have a 500Gig Time Capsule for my backups..

I'm new to motion and really enjoy learning, but lately, the picture is larger than anticipated when imported into Final Cut Pro X. What am I doing that's incorrect?
I'm using an older G5 single processor. I've reached the Max with a 300 Gig Seagate 2nd internal drive. I've run out of FCP srcatch disk space. I have about 75 Gigs left. I researched a Seagate HD Model ST3750640AS - Interface SATA - it's 750 Gigs. I just wanna make sure that the ones sold by New Egg etc., are compatible. Here's New Egg's; [URL].
I also wanna make sure that I've choosen the correct path to back up the 250 Gigs of data; First I need to copy all of the scratch disk files into another Hard Drive. Perhaps one of my external Lacie's. I'm familiar with how to Erase the New Drive, and format the New drive using MAC OS extended Journaled. Next (in turn), I'll need to copy all that data (little bits at a time), back to the New Seagate internal drive.
