Dec 4, 2014Is it possible to import a *full* pdf into motion. i.e with clickable links also showing there. WHY ? I just cannot seem to get my head around having to try and learn from a PDF that stands and blocks the app whilst trying?

Feb 22, 2009As stated in title, the desktop picture will randomly revert to a picture I had up there months ago, usually when I run the battery all the way down on my unibody MB, but also when I change display settings when i plug into an external monitor.
Do I just need just reset the PRAM or is there something else I'm missing.

Apr 13, 2012I have tried importing this CD as Apple Loss-less, .mp3, etc and it doesn't ever show up in iTunes. I found the music with the finder but when I drag it to iTunes, no go. I right click and say open with iTunes, nope. I go through iTunes and use Add to Library, it still isn't showing up. No error message is displayed, it just simply doesn't add it to the library.

Oct 24, 2010When I import songs from a CD, the songs are not appearing under Music in iTunes.
The track info is properly displayed for the mounted CD itself and the songs are correctly imported (green checkboxes appear, the MP3 files are placed in the correct folder under "Music/iTunes/iTunes Music", and the MP3 files are playable in Quicktime).

When I tried to label the folders by colour, however, I realised that that option is greyed out! New folders that I create can be colour labelled, but not the imported ones. How do i colour label these imported folders?
OS X :: Images Imported Into IPhoto Being Altered?
Feb 5, 2010I imported hundreds of master drawings into iPhoto but they appeared much darker and slightly discolored. Editing them with iPhoto is not very effective and not something I prefer to do because it is important that the images resemble the original art as closely as possible.
I noticed my Mac does various things automatically for me that usually enhance my experience, but is iPhoto enhancing my images for me? Is there a way to set a preference that iPhoto retain all the original features of the image?
OS X :: Green Imported Photos In IPhoto?
Aug 20, 2010I recently imported a full library of pictures into iPhoto.....most of them came across without any problems, but I have about 20 pictures that are green, i mean really green. I check the original file and opened it with lightroom and photoshop and the pictures load normal, I searched and found the iphoto copy and opened it with LR and PS and it opened normal. When I open iphoto and try to do anything with those pictures, they display green in other apps like when I drag and drop them on iweb. Does anyone else have this problem?. its happened on two different iMacs...same library and mostly the same pictures, I have a c2d mac and it did the same things but on that imac it was more like 150 pics that were green, on the new i7 imac its like 20.

Mar 12, 2012Imported movies are suddenly not showing up in iTunes. When I import they copy over and create a corresponding folder in finder, but they are not displaying in the iTunes library. This has just started happening today. The movies show up and will play on Apple TV2 and on the Mac using QuickTime, but not in iTunes. We use iTunes to sort movies.

May 9, 2012Today I've imported some CD's in iTunes. The importing process worked fine, but.... I cannot see the tracks in my music library! I have a smart playlist where I can see the most recent imported music and when I browse that playlist I see the tracks that are not shown in the music library! When i get info on one of these tracks all the details are correct (it's saved in my "iTunes library" folder etc.)

When I try to open Word documents I get the message: You cannot open the application Microsoft Word because PowerPC applications are no longer Supported. So what to do? And when I try to open a password protected (Word) document, the message is: Import error. The Word document is password protected and cannot be imported. So what to do?

Oct 29, 2010I recently sold my desktop PC so that I can be more mobile. I'm trying to decide between the 13" MBP refurbished from apple ($1019) or the Macbook Air 11.6 ($1000). I have an iPad and an iPhone and love the portability iOS has. I would like to have a laptop for typing longer emails, surfing the web, syncronizing itunes content, and converting movies in handbrake for my apple tv. I realize the airs 1.4 core 2 will take considerably longer for handbrake conversions than the 2.4Ghz MBP. I am considering using the macbook air as my only computer for a year or so when I will then get a desktop system.
Can I practically use the 11.6, or should I just get the larger, bulkier MBP?

When I import a CD , the songs get scattered all over the Library. It did not used to be the case. Now if I want to make another copy of the disc, I need to make a new folder then drag all the songs from all over the place in ones and twos from the Library.
Why is this order of songs disturbed?
Is there a way to order the Library so that a CD remains in one place ?
I made copy of a CD but the last one turned up to be the first one! One CD, which I thought had been written was not written at all

Jan 21, 2009I imported several cd's and tracks into iTunes last night and there were no problems while importing. I was able to listen to my music in the iTunes library up until this evening. When I click on a song, a box pops up saying "Connection Failed: The server may not exist or it is not operational at this time. Check the server name of IP addres and your network connections and try again." So I press "OK" and another box pops up saying "The song "(name)-(artist)" could not be used because the original file could not be found.
Would you like to locate it?" I click on "Yes" and see all my songs listed under iTunes/music but all of the songs I have listed in the library are gray and I cannot click on them. I have checked that I am connected to my home network/internet because I am able to share/listen to my iTunes library located on my Windows desktop as well as browse the internet. The only other thing I could think of doing was downloading the new iTunes 8 which I did, and nothing has changed.

May 10, 2009Just imported a few images, and I don't know where they are located on the computer. I would like to know where they are so I can drag them into my photo folder.
Also, my phone camera supports geo-tagging. I have a bunch of pictures I took with geotagging on, and it works fine on the phone. On iPhotos though, only a very little portion of these pictures appear in the "Places" section. If I find a picture in iPhoto and hit the info button and hit location, it doesn't show up on the map, even though it works just fine on my phone (C905). Why doesn't it work properly?

Jun 14, 2010I have a number of files with -rwxrwxrwx@ file permissions (note the @ at the end - this comes from an ls -l command in terminal). They are photos on an external drive. When I try to copy them to a new drive I am advised that I do not have permission to copy them (despite rwxrwxrwx).
This is confusing and also very hard to search for (@ not liked at all). Can anyone tell me what the deal is? I have a suspicion it may relate to the photos being imported iPhoto at some time but that I cannot confirm. I can copy them to a windows machine and then to the final destination but all the last modified dates get changed (not a desirable outcome).
