Is there a way to make song names in iTunes display larger like they did in Front Row, so if you are across the room you can pick songs with a remote easier?Â
View 3 RepliesI have song compilation albums in itunes. I prefer to seach by Artist, not album. Compilation albums often assign a different artist for each song. I don't like this, as I end up with thousands of artists, each with only one song! Here's an example:
I copy "Classical Chillout" compilation album to itunes. 30 songs show up, each with their own (new) artist name, song name, and all within the album "Classical Chillout.
Instead of having:
SONG Adagio for Strings
ARTIST Samuel Barber
ALBUM Classical Chillout
I want to batch rename all songs so that the Album name becomes the Artist and each "Artist" name is inserted into the "Song" name
SONG Samuel Barber- Adagio for Strings
ARTIST Classical Chillout
ALBUM Classical Chillout
i have my music on an external drive and the drive is the default music folder in preferences. for some reason i am no longer able to touch any of the filename information, all is greyed out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to Lion and sadly, Front Row is not supported. I somehow found the Front Row app in my systems folder and moved it to my Applications folder. Front Row now shows up in my applications folder, as well as Launchpad. However, when I go into Front Row, it does not recognize any of my media from iTunes. I tried out this website: [URL]..blog/frontrowenablerforlion to no avail. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how to make Front Row work in OS X Lion.Â

I consolidated my iTunes library because some files were on an external and the rest on the computer and when I did this it made copys of most of the songs in my music folder. Also it didn't consolidate the whole library it still shows many songs on the external.
The actual iTunes library is right, just not all songs point to the computer hard drive.
I have about 100 gigs worth of duplicates that I have no idea how to delete besides doing them one by one.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
This is how my iTunes folder looks for most albums.
When I went to BestBuy, the Apple section of the store had an iMac, that would announce the name of the song before it played. I asked the Apple rep there and he didn't know how it did that, he told me it came with the computer. How would I make iTunes do that?

we have a macbook pro running Leopard. My wife and I have separate user accounts on the single laptop and keep the music in one central Public folder (both or our iTunes are pointed to this public folder). For some reason, my wife is unable to make any changes to song info (album art, change genre, etc.). However, she can play the music, update her Nano, import music, etc. The only thing she can't do is make changes to the song info. This isn't an issue with my account because I am the primary user account on the computer. We are both set up as Admin and I have assigned Read/Write privileges to all files. Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be? Tech support/program specialist has no idea.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI own 23 and 30" Cinema Displays. I like the 23 because everything is larger and easier to read than in the 30". I mostly work in Logic and love that I see lots of things on the 30" but the 23" is much easier on my eyes.Is there such a thing as a display with 2560x1600 (like the 30" Apple) but that is LARGER than a 30 inch so I can see everything bigger in Logic??? Maybe a 34 or 37"? Did a search but haven't come up with anything other than other 30" displays.

Love my MBA but couldn't resist the temptation to pick up an HP 10" netbook since the Amazon price was pretty cheap ($399). It's a nice little machine which I can throw in my briefcase. However, do a little bit of work on this ten incher and then open up the MBA, and suddenly my 13" MBA looks looks huge! Each machine clearly has it's role. The netbook is fine for my daily train trip to work and to shlep around. It would not accompany me on a trip or for times requiring a lot of work and certainly does not sit in the same universe of power as the MBA, but as Randy Jackson would say, "It's a'right". I think the MBA has won my heart.

I purchased a song on itunes but only half the song downloaded. When I go to quick links and select purchase, I see the song as purchased but it wont download. It is behaving like a song you would listen to on itunes. It has the arrow with blue back round still. What can I do to get my song completely downloaded.

This is SO frustrating. I bring in my new iMac for the techs to move my iTunes over, I bring it home and have not been able to listen to one song. I double click on it and it says "Cannot find file, locate?" I say yes, it brings me to the album artwork. I can only play a song by fast forwarding or fast backing from the original song played to the next song I want to play. While in MS Word and other programs, the dialog box when choosing from the menu is pretty small, with small type. Can these field input boxes be made larger with larger, more readable text?
For example, when I'm doing Find/Replace in MS Word, the input field boxes are very small, even though I have a 20" monitor.
I have a decent size music library(40+gig) on my late MB and i find that iTunes is slow to load when I open it and sometimes when im clicking around songs there is a half second pause before the song is highlighted and then starts to play. Since the program is pulling the info off the HD im thinking that if i got a higher capacity 7200 rpm drive that this would help (currently my stock 150gig only has 50gigs left) with this stutter or would upgrading to 4gig ram?
