Not all of our guests are confident with that, and if I'm not there it often can't be done. Is there a way I can configure the SSID and Password for wifi for the Guest Account so that the guest does not need to do it?Â

I have a problem with SOME of my albums in itunes. Some of them ( aprox 20%) are displaying the sogns within an album in an alphabetical order. I do not have "track" in the column header selected. I have tried selecting "track #"but this does not rectify the track names into the original album order. I can not manually enter the track number either in the "track #" field to manually rectify this as iTunes does not allow you do this. It is really frustrating that I have to listen to some of my albums in alpabetical song name order rather than the order the artist wanted me to. I've got a whole lot of music, 45 days worth, and I view it by date added and want to keep it that way for a number of reasons.
Problem is, when I want to play an album I have to click on the first track, then switch to album (or artist) display by the end of that track.
The other day I added an album by dragging it into iTunes in the Finder. I noticed that I could start and stop and advance and rewind tracks and it would go in order, from first to last track, even in Date Added mode, so it was visually moving up and down instead of from top to bottom.
Is there secretly a way to view in Date Added but have the next track be the next track on that album? Besides dragging the tracks into iTunes from the Finder I mean.
If anyone has a way to do this, it would seriously improve my life and I would be infinitely grateful.
Is there any sort of "bridge" software that allows a terminal emulation program, say, Z-Term, to use Skype as a modem? It seems silly to pay for connections to BBS's when I've got SkypeOut, but I haven't been able to find a way to do this.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAm living in Malaysia with my MAC OS X (version 10.68). Our provider just replaced our modem because we had internet access issues. This solved the problem for about a day and now we can't access the internet. It seems that the network configuration has changed and although we enter the new password assigned we are we can't access.
We have tried 'restarting the device', as was suggested. We restarted the modem, then later tried, resetting the router, doing both of those at the same time, and eventually restarting the computer.

Anyway, at my school, I tend to not have any problems getting on the wireless, except there is one place where I can get a connection to the wireless access point, but it will not give me an IP address. I tried release and renew on many occasions. I also tried restarting and all the regular stuff. My school's tech support was not too helpful.
I spoke to some people who have had similar issues and they said, that they have had it with some routers and not other. Because of the nature of the network, there are a lot of base stations all broadcasting with the same SSID. They suggested I try to connect to one of them.
The problem is, by default, OS X connects the station with a given SSID that has the strongest signal. Is there a way to connect to the other ones. Using a widget, I see the other base stations with the same SSID. How do I tell my computer to connect to those?
For what it is worth, I have a 2.2ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Macbook with 2 gigs of Ram and all the latest versions of everything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAt my university, there are multiple access points, all broadcasting on the same SSID with both 2.4Ghz (802.11b/g/n) and 5Ghz (802.11a/n) radios. In the spot where I'm having this problem, my Mac can see about a dozen of these access points with the same SSID. However, the problem is that I can't specify which one it will connect to. Here, there is substantial interference on the 2.4Ghz band, so it is unusable. My MacBook Air will usually connect on the 5GHz band, but it occasionally tries to switch to the 2.4GHz frequency on the AP, causing my connection to cut out.
Is there any way I can force my Airport to connect to a particular channel or access point? On my Windows machine I solved this problem by disabling the 2.4Ghz radio so that Windows would be unable to see those APs, but this doesn't appear to be possible on the Mac. I've tried searching for a solution without success.
