Feb 10, 2012I have bootcamp installed on my iMac. Do I need to purchase Parallels to run Windows on my Mac? And if I do buy and run Parallels is windows included in that package? Or is my most cost effective option to buy Windows 7 and install it via BootCamp?

May 20, 2012My old iMac recently blacked out and does not work and lost all pictures. My iPad has all the pictures including the ones from my personal camera. The iPad is backed up to iCloud but not sure if it included the camera pictures. Were those pictures from my camera ever backed up and is it possible to get it back installed into a new computer?

I installed them both in their own slots, made sure that they clicked in.when I connect all the cables in and turn it on I get no boot sound.I decided to take one of the new ram out and installed an old one it boots up. It reads that it has 3gbs of ram.

Jan 1, 2009I recently installed a new hard drive in my MBP Intel, early 2008 edition. I followed the instructions from: [URL] a-MacBook-ProEverything works fine after I put in the new drive except for the Sims 2. Whenever I try to run it, it says the application quit unexpectedly and I can choose to Ignore, Report to Apple, or Relaunch, but no matter what I do I can't get it started. If i boot my laptop off my old hard drive and try running it, it works perfect. I've tried reinstalling the game, fixing permissions on my new hard drive, and booting the sims off my old hard drive through an external inclosure.

Apr 14, 2012After installing the latest updates for Java to both 10.7.3 and 10.6.8 the MRTAgent or other files ( /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.mrt.uiagent.plist and /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mrt.plist did not seem to install. I have installed both through Software Update and also through the stand alone downloads. Various sites have said the above should have installed and there is no evidence on my machine.

I have attempted to load the driver for this printer using System Preferences/ Printers and faxes. When I select the + I find my psc 2400 printer listed when I select add I get the message: Some of the software for the printer is missing. You may have to reinstall the software to be able to successfully print. There is the option to continue. Selecting this button I get the message: The software for the printer was installed incorrectly. Please reinstall the software from the manufacturer. This printer was purchased when I had a Mac with a power PC chip and OS X version 10.4.1 which can not be loaded into the current computer. Is there a way to load the driver software that seems to be missing?

Jun 22, 2012I have an iMac that is less than a year old and I have very few applications installed other than what comes on it. I recently received a message that my startup disk was almost full. I keep all of my media on an external drive, have an apple time machine that stores the backups. I purchased the Space Gremlin and there is nothing on the hard drive that shows it's taking up that much space. The 500 GB hard drive shows only 11 GB free.

I was prompted a couple of weeks ago to update flash player, and having done this I am unable to use it at all. In addition my netflix account prompted me to download silverlight (must have been previously present) and since will not play any netflix films at all. Im running an iMac intel on 10.9.4.

Dec 10, 2014I've recently installed a Crucial M500 512 GB SSD into my 21.5" 2011 iMac. I've done this to quite a few iMacs, and am well aware that some have a temperature sensor on the factory-installed hard drive. This one, however, did not, and now that the SSD is installed, I'm getting constantly running fans.
The fans run whether it's booted from the internal SSD, an external FireWire HD, or even if it's sitting in Target Disk Mode or on the Boot Options screen, so I feel like it's hardware-related.
