Mar 24, 2009I just picked up a pair of the Bose companion 2 and was wondering if you can adjust the base of these speakers? I don't see anything under the Macs Sound options.

View 1 RepliesI'm looking for desktop speakers like the M-Audio Studiophile AV-20 or the Bose Companion 2. I don't really need huge bass to shake up the walls or anything like that, but decent bass to hear lows would be nice. I am only comparing these two right now, but I am open to anything else as well. I don't want to spend more than $100. The Cnet reviewers recommended the M-Audio AV-20 over the Bose.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was looking at buying one of these two from the apple store and was wondering what everyone has thought of them.
I do appreciate it when posters also reccommend other speaker brands in the thread, but i would like to warn that I need to purchase from the apple online store as I have a decent sized giftcard, and i sorely want better speakers (currently have bose companion 3s) for my new imac 27inch
So I bought some BOSE Companion 20 speakers and when plugged in to my iMac I get great sound on the intsruments but little or no vocals. When plugged into the iPhone with the same EQ settings I get absolutely no issues and it's a perfect sound all around.Â

who knows anything about speakers and speaker companies think M-Audio is a better company or Bose? I'm deciding between the M-Audio Studiopro 3 speakers and the Bose Campanion 2 series. These are the two because I found them in stores and so far like them the best...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am looking to invest in my first pair of really good headphones. Now I am not a hardcore audiophile but I still like my music to be as clear and correct as possible. With that said I listen to hip hop almost exclusively and love loud booming bass. I know ill get crap for saying this but I actually like the sound of Beats by Dre and I can get the studio model but those things leak sound like crazy, but as far as I've heard their bass is the strongest.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhenever my MacBook has the charger in, there's constant 'drone' of bass from the subwoofer that my laptop is connected to, but as soon as I take the charger out the noise stops. Is there any way to stop this from happening (ie moving the cables round?) or is it just something I'll have to live with?
View 14 Replies View RelatedTrying to add jump audio upgrade to my imac sound. The bass jump has great reviews but mostly for macbooks. They did not have one set up in Apple store so im on here to see what others might think of this product. My other choice as recommended by apple employee was the Bose companion 2. Only thing with this is they work from headphone in jack so i will have to keep them on all the time even when the imac speakers would have been fine for simple computing.

I do not notice an option for that in system preferences, (sound).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was searching the forums, especially [URL] and it seems that I can't find the appropriate cables to connect these two devices. The Bose Wave has an AUX port, headphone port, and Boselink port, but besides that, no other ports. What cable specifically would I need to stream my itunes over my Bose? I have an Airport Express that supports itunes streaming, I just don't know how to do it.

So I'm trying to adjust the font in a PDF in Preview. I can't do it....is there a way? I also realized that I don't have Adobe....I have Adobe Digital for downloaded books but I guess that's all it's for.
I went online and all I can find is Adobe to buy.
So, finally my question....can I adjust the font in Preview? Zooming doesn't work for me...won't bore you with the reasons.
Or will I have to buy Adobe to get that function in PDF's?
If you can't tell I'm new to the Mac, coming over from Windows for 12 years!!
