I have iTunes 10.6.1 (7) an Airport Extream Version 6.0 Airport Utility (600.92) That I use with two airport express stations, an Apple TV 2nd Generation with latest software up date. Also have Ipad 3rd Generation and two I phone 4's. Issue: After installing the latest Airport Utility software update I'm unable to connect to my remote speakers in iTunes.  The speakers are visible in the pop up menu but iTunes times out when trying to connect. If I use remote to select Apple TV and then via Apple TV select my Computers Library I'm able to play music on the Apple TV / Home Speakers... but still not the Airport Express Stations.Â
When using remote on the iPhone or iPad the speakers are visible as well but I'm unable to select them... iTunes times out. I can steam music from that is on my iPhone or iPad to each individual speaker, but multiple speaker control is not available and the music from my library is not available. I believe the problem is in the Airplay feature of iTunes and I believe the problems arise when you install the latest version of Airport Utility.   You can play on remote speakers, only one at a time, and only if you have the music on a stand alone device (iPhone or iPad)... in summary, bypass iTunes and you can be successful... marginally successful.
Seems like I have mono sound coming from the center of the keyboard. No bass at all
View 11 Replies View RelatedWhenever my MacBook has the charger in, there's constant 'drone' of bass from the subwoofer that my laptop is connected to, but as soon as I take the charger out the noise stops. Is there any way to stop this from happening (ie moving the cables round?) or is it just something I'll have to live with?

Situation: no sound out from speakers in admin and user account and newly created account. Headphones work, startup chimes work on speakers.
Go to Sound in Preferences and only shows Digital Out for output. Should show Internal Speakers. Ran Diskwarrior and Applejack and zapped pram. Took mac apart and confirmed speakers wired correctly which is verified by the start up chimes being audible on the internal speakers. tested all accounts and created new account all with the same results. Did search of Google and MacRumor. Found one unaswered post indicating same problem. Had same problem with another macbook pro, ran same steps, take apart, confirm wiring setup, Diskwarriored, applejacked and zapped pram and it fixed the problem. I'm not sure what else to try. Did check Audio Midi Setup util and it also did not see the internal speakers.
i was wondering what would be the best way to record bass. should i mic up my amp or just run the bass directly into my mac?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just picked up a pair of the Bose companion 2 and was wondering if you can adjust the base of these speakers? I don't see anything under the Macs Sound options.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am looking to invest in my first pair of really good headphones. Now I am not a hardcore audiophile but I still like my music to be as clear and correct as possible. With that said I listen to hip hop almost exclusively and love loud booming bass. I know ill get crap for saying this but I actually like the sound of Beats by Dre and I can get the studio model but those things leak sound like crazy, but as far as I've heard their bass is the strongest.
View 6 Replies View RelatedTrying to add jump audio upgrade to my imac sound. The bass jump has great reviews but mostly for macbooks. They did not have one set up in Apple store so im on here to see what others might think of this product. My other choice as recommended by apple employee was the Bose companion 2. Only thing with this is they work from headphone in jack so i will have to keep them on all the time even when the imac speakers would have been fine for simple computing.

Any ideas? Is there something blatant that I'm missing?
Does anyone know of a desktop app like sonic vox for iPhone? I would like to make my voice extremely deep and bass filled.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an imac, 2 years old, and i was wondering if there is any internal way of adjusting the bass, treble on the sound.
I do not notice an option for that in system preferences, (sound).
[URL] just an i-control and a mic? I just do simple vocal, bass, guitar stuff.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter I pulled out the jack for my speakers the volume icon was greyed out [URL]and soon I realized that internal speakers as such have been disabled from the system [URL]When I restart the startup chime is played as usual. Is it a hardware or software thing?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy new 25" HP 2510i monitor arrived today, all is good except from the speaker system, I can either have the iMac's built in speakers used or the built in monitor speakers used. Is it possible to combine them both and use both?
The monitor's audio interface connects to my iMac via the headphone jack on the back of the system.
This may or may not be a stupid proposition, but here it goes: I have a Klipsch Promedia GMX 2.1a speaker system which I like very much. However, I was wondering if I could replace the existing satellite speakers with bookshelf speakers (like Klipsch RB-10 s). I'm hoping this will work because I want to increase the audio output of my system without spending money on an amplifier.

I have a problem with my 17'' MBP unibody:
1) Bluetooth is ON:
I can't turn it off. The checkbox is inactive.
But I can turn it off, if I choose "Share my internet connection for other units". (I don't know, if this is the right text in english, because my OSX is in german)
2) Now Bluetooth is OFF:
But I can't turn it on, because the checkbox "ON" is inactive.
It turns only on, if I choose "New Unit"(?). Then there is a new window, that says, that this is only possible if Bluetooth turns on. If I say OK, bluetooth turns ON.
Back to 1)
What's the problem. Why is this f* checkbox for turning bluetooth on and off inactive?
This is not a hardware problem, because I can have stable bluetooth connections.
I did a smc and am pram reset. But it doesn't help.
the external speakers (and the earphones) I use for my i-mac suddenly stopped playing sound from my imac. They do work though when I plug them to the i-pod. My imac speakers work perfectly. Any ideas what's happening?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHad (used) iBook G4 several months now & thoroughly enjoy it, even tho' I live in the sticks where there's no hi-speed/wireless available; I connect to internet & power, which is fine.
This weekend I went to turn off my iBook & it wouldn't turn off. It's now permanently on, with opening info barely visible (like I need to click on F2 to brighten up, except nothing happens).
Currently using my "back up" computer, my iMac Grape, which is pretty much an antique by now.
I'm looking for a good looking set of speakers. I'm not so much worried about what they sound like (I'm not exactly an audiophile, so I'm not going to be able to tell the difference between $40 and $300 speakers), but rather that they look cool.
The SoundStick IIs look pretty sweet, but they're rather expensive. I'm ideally looking for something around $40-80. Any ideas?
I have a late 2009 mb. How many speakers are there? Just one?

I am looking for some quality bluetooth speakers for my new 13'' pro these will be used at home and don't have to be portable ,I think wall Plug in would work best for me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm a lifelong PC user who is making the switch from a PC desktop to a macbook pro. Currently I have A set of Klipsch promedia 5.1 surround sound speakers. I am also anticipating inheriting a samsung television from a friend. I would like to be able to use my current speakers and and my new t.v. with my macbook, but I've got a couple of questions here.
1) It looks like the television has a vga input on it. So I'm assuming my best bet is to get the Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter. what can I expect in terms of quality here? The television is 1080p. Will i be able to get 1080p through a vga adapter? Is there a better option out there?
2) Assuming the television did have a DVI port on it, what is the difference between the Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter and the Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter?
3) I would very much like to have both the television and the macbook hooked up to the klipsch speakers. I'm assuming my best option for connecting the macbook is something like the Griffin Firewave. (Sadly it looks as if this has been discontinued.) The Television's only audio out is optical. Does anyone know of an external sound card that would allow me to connect both the macbook and the television? Or if someone has a better solution as to how to accomplish that; I'm all ears.
I'm having some trouble having my speakers and headphones working together.
In my prior setup, I've always had my Macbook Pro Line-Out connected to a set of speakers who allowed for my headphones to be jacked into it.
I had no problems with this setup as it allowed me to use either one.
Now, I bought a new Logitech G35 headset which has a USB end as opposed to the 1/8" jack, and I have to switch between the speakers and headset via Settings > Sound > Output.
Need some ideas for some good 5.1 speakers. First of all, I'm not sure how to connect a set of 5.1 to a macbook as it only has a 3.5mm input. Is it something like a toslink adaptor? How would I go about this and what speakers would you recommend? Also i'd like to be able to plug them into my xbox 360 elite which is connected to my LG M23W7D monitor.
