I have a macbook pro 15 i7, & like the trackpad, but I still also like the feel of a mouse, I will probably be installing windows on it through parallels, what mouse would work best for both OS's? I like scrolling with it & right clicking.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a microsoft bluetooth notebook mouse 5000 that works well in mac osx but when I go to windows 7 in bootcamp it reports that the bluetooth hid device driver is not working and the mouse won't work.
I can get it to detect the mouse and try to load the driver but then it says that the driver installation did not work.
In device manager the bluetooth hid device has a warning icon next to it and it says that the device is not working.
When I try to use my magic mouse in windows the same error happens and it says that the hid bluetooth device driver is not working.
Both mice work fine in mac osx and the microsoft mouse was working ok in windows until last week.
Since then, my son installed a couple of games in the windows side and the mouse started acting up the following day.
I just got a Magic Mouse. It works perfectly in OS X, but when I boot into Windows XP, it doesn't work at all. I read that the Bluetooth Update 1.0 is for the new iMacs only. But I read that others got the mouse working, just without the scrolling.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving a VERY strange issue with my new 27" iMac. I've tried installing XP twice now and everything works fine through the installation and after XP boot initially without any Apple drivers. Keyboard (wired) and my Magic Mouse work just fine.
Then I install the Apple drivers and after a restart XP does not recognize and keyboard/mouse. Even if I hook up a standard USB windows keyboard and wired mouse, nothing. Booting into Mac OS everything works fine, but nothing in XP, including safe mode.
I got Mac Mini and i installed Windows 7 on it with Boot Camp, After i installed drivers and everything. Everything worked includes the Magic Mouse. After i did a restart my Magic Mouse didn't work anymore. I tried turning the Mouse off and on and it still doesn't work.
I have the beta installed on my aluminum MacBook and most things are working okay. I can't get the eject button to work for some reason and I can't get my bluetooth apple keyboard or mighty mouse to connect. Is anyone else having bluetooth issues?

View 4 Replies View RelatedInstalled a new 750GB drive into my MacBookPro 5.1 Couldn't get Winclone to make image so I was forced to start from scratch with a new XP installation.
My MBP is partitioned 25%Mac & 75%XP with bootcamp and I have the old drive in a enclosure connected with a firewire. So all of old files are on the external drive now.
After installing XP I have no internet connection, drivers etc... However if I boot up on the mac side everything works fine. (I cloned the mac os already with Carbon copy).
So can I just copy all my old drivers over to the new drive? If yes how and if no how do I get them installed on the new harddrive. The MBP came with everything preinstalled.
I recently installed Yosemite in my mid 2010 MacPro, when the computer goes to sleep I cannot wake it up with the space bar or mouse like I used to, I need to shutdown by holding the power button and then press the button again to power up.

I beleive all my data is still on because there is a lot of used disc space. I want to convert it back to HFS without the loss of data, as I have important information on the hard drive that I do not want to lose. I know this is my own fault because I wasn't paying close enough attention to where I was installing Windows

i have been using Mac OS X Lion since its release last year. A few months ago my brother wanted to use Mac OS X in his MacBook Pro 13'. He was using a different Apple ID. I signed in with my apple ID on his Laptop and installed Lion and then signed out and again signed back in with his ID. He is not being able to download updates as an error message pops out showcasing that it is not authorised. Will it be persistent?

I can't access my homebanking website (it uses Safari). When I try to, the website says I don't have Java Installed (it was working till last week). If I access Java test page, it says Java is working good. If I access my homebanking with Firefox, it runs OK.

I've pushed harder than should be necessary to try and set the memory in the slot. Its in there. When I turn my macbook on it goes to my log on screen. From there my keyboard and track pad do not work. It wont let me do anything. I can't type my password or move the cursor...? I'm completely lost!

I just got a new MacPro 2008 and had the Apple Store install the $50 card before i lugged it back home. I get home hook everything up and OSX doesn't see the AirPort card. I open up the computer and see the card physically there and it is. Is there something i need to do, to enable it so OSX can see it?
