I can't access my homebanking website (it uses Safari). When I try to, the website says I don't have Java Installed (it was working till last week). If I access Java test page, it says Java is working good. If I access my homebanking with Firefox, it runs OK.
I just updated java. Yet, when I try to access this webpage, I get the "the page attempted to load java content, but java is unavailable or not installed."Â So, not sure what do to at this point?Â
I made a Java applet with Xcode 3.2Â and i load it to firefox or Safari(Yeah i've updated my java)and for exampleÂ
i made a HELLO WORLD simple applet to be in black color letters, then compiled and yeah it worked but then i redid it for the letters to be red.. and they kept being black..no matter how many times i recompiled the applet.Â
And yeah the HTML is pointing to the correct class file. Also, If if i add a Thread and implement runnable.. then nothing shows up in the canvas.Â
And also, what ever happened with the appletviewer application? We don't have that anymore.
now the only way to run applets is through a web browser. Â Is java applet developement in 10.6 really over?

Appears Java is not installed on my MacBook Pro. How can I verify this? If not installed where do I go to get the proper download? I have a late 2011 Mac OS X version 10.7.3.
Trying to print from a web site (only one) and I get a message "Java Not Installed". It is because I can find preferences. I imagine I need to change one but don't know what. Suggestions? OSX 10.5.8
when I try to open a secure site used for work. Software is up to date. It's the 1st time it has happened and I accessed this site prior to having my hard drive replaced.
When I attempt the update, I get the following error:"The Update "Java for OS X 2012-003" can't be installed. The update could not be expanded, and may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs." This is on a new Mac Mini (purchased in April 2012) that has been kept updated with all other software updates. I have tried to do this update several times over the last several days with the same error. The computer has been powered off/restarted several times, no effect.I have checked for the Flashback malware, not on my system.
After installing the latest updates for Java to both 10.7.3 and 10.6.8 the MRTAgent or other files ( /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.mrt.uiagent.plist and /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mrt.plist did not seem to install. I have installed both through Software Update and also through the stand alone downloads. Various sites have said the above should have installed and there is no evidence on my machine.
I'm operating on a MacBook Air that i recently updated to OS X 10.9.2. Along with the update, Java 7 was installed. I need to have Java 6 Update 20 installed to use some programs on this computer for work. I've gotten the files to install that update, but when I attempt to do so I receive a message stating that I cannot install on my disk. A newer version is already installed.Â
I've gone into finder > Go to Folder and deleted the Java folder after uninstalling java in the first place. This has not fixed my issue.
When running certain apps when logged in to my MAC (OS 10.5.6), I get the Java cup symbol (the one with arrows around it), but no app. When logged into the same mac as other users (my family), they run fine. Any ideas how to resolve?
I have a Quicksilver running os 10.2 and I cant seem to install any app since it requires Java 1.5 or higher. Also, Youtube wont work in Safari after I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash.
I have an application that requires Java. I had upgraded to the Yosemite OS. I installed Java 6 as required for the app. However, it seems some functions in my app still don't work. So, my question is does Java 6 work with Yosemite? I had no problems with Maverick OS.
When launching a java app from within eclipse (run/debug) that doesn't have a gui the firewall dialog (allow/deny) pops up and then just disappear leaving the app blocked for incoming connections. This was introduced in snow leopard and worked fine in leopard. Has anyone found a solution for this other than the radical of turning off the firewall all together?
Under Lion, there are lots of Java applets that I can't get to work. For instance, most of these just show solid white:[URL]I can tell that they're loading, because a few of them produce console output I can see in Java Console. Also, a few of them display some GUI elements. But mostly, they're blank.I've encountered lots of other applets, not Java3D, which also don't work. There's a lot of code rot going on due to Apple abandoning Java on the Mac and Oracle not picking it up.I just wanted to know if anyone knew of any tweaks I could make to the system to get these to work.I do, of course, have Java applets enabled in Java Preferences.
I seem to have some problems with Java. For instance, when trying to upload photos in Facebook, the java "thing" won't work. It's no longer asking me if I trust the certificate. This has happened on other websites as well.
I have tried to go in to Java webstart in Utilites and when it opens I am getting these messages:
On my iMac, Java applications won't work. I tried opening minecraft, and several other Java applications. All of them have a message that pops up saying, "Not compatible version of Java 1.5+ is available." I tried updating it but their is no update for Java it says on my updater.
Applets simply dont load. Ive enabled scripts and plug-ins and Java in preferences. I've rearranged the version priorities a dozen different ways as well, no luck.
