I just got a Magic Mouse. It works perfectly in OS X, but when I boot into Windows XP, it doesn't work at all. I read that the Bluetooth Update 1.0 is for the new iMacs only. But I read that others got the mouse working, just without the scrolling.

I have installed Far Cry on bootcamp (Windows 7), I run Far Cry, it works perfectly except the mouse doesn't work in game, only works when your on the menu.. Keyboard works fine though
View 1 Replies View Related I got Mac Mini and i installed Windows 7 on it with Boot Camp, After i installed drivers and everything. Everything worked includes the Magic Mouse. After i did a restart my Magic Mouse didn't work anymore. I tried turning the Mouse off and on and it still doesn't work.
I just got my new Magic Mouse and don't get the multitouch to work. Only a "real" click and moving the mouse is working right now. I don't know what I do wrong, I use 10.6.2, but to be totally sure, I even tried to install the Magic Mouse software update. Doesn't work. No mouse multitouch settings in the preferences.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got a Magic Mouse for Christmas this morning and set up with my Macbook Pro. The setup went quickly and well. I was able to move the cursor around my screen with the Magic Mouse.
However, the click buttons don't work. I have tried left and right clicking and nothing happens.
Is there a problem with my mouse or did I miss something in the setup?
does Magic Mouse work with Windows 7 but not via boot camp, via normal PC, that has only Windows 7? I'm asking becouse if it works I can get it 20$ cheaper .

View 24 Replies View RelatedCompletely out of no where my Magic Mouse decided to stop swiping. I toggled the two-finger swipe off then back on in sys prefs, turned the mouse off then back on, verified all software up to date, even rebooted. nothing.
What's up with that? I just was using my brothers iMac and noticed his Magic Mouse felt a little different while web browsing.. I went into the System Preferences > Mouse and realized that he had enabled the check box of "Scrolling" and had it set to "WITH MOMENTUM".
So I figured out that was why mine felt different. I went into my System Preferences > Mouse and have the dialog box for "Scrolling" but I do not have the option to select "WITH MOMENTUM" or "WITHOUT MOMENTUM". I'm using a Macbook, and he has a new iMac. Both with Snow Leopard.. and I just ran a Software Update, and it says everything is Up To Date.
word is i need to upgrade my imac which is running osx 10.4.11 to a minimum of 10.6.2 but this may mean that it doesnt support PowerPC based machines,now i may sound as though i know what i am talking about but i can confirm that i don't! this is what a mate told me over the phone
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt has been this way as long as I've had the Magic Mouse - if I change the batteries, it won't re-connect. I must plug in a USB mouse and manually connect the Magic Mouse. This is on a relatively recent 24" iMac. Am I doing something wrong?
PS: I think at some point in the past I made the mouse a Favorite in trying to fix this.
Would this new Magic Mouse work the PC (have bluetooth)? I just need click, scroll up,down, left, right.

Just purchased a Magic Mouse to use with my Macbook Pro. When I left click on a Bookmarked Website in Safari it does not open the website it gives me the option to rename the website. Very frustrating. I have to either click on the screen shot above the bookmarks or I have to right click and choose open.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust unpacked my new iMac, the keyboard and mouse are powered up, paired, and discovered. BUT, I thought the "magic" of the mouse was that it's flat surface is supposed to work like a MacBook's trackpad. MINE DOES NOT. It just scrolls around, up and down within a window. Other than that, it works like a regular mouse, just move it, point and click. Is this right? Or did I mess up already? I called AppleCare and they say this is normal, but for what I paid, it should do more magic.

I have my iMac 21.5" bootcamped with Windows 7. Now I know Windows 7 is unsupported but the drivers are not hard to find.
My Magic Mouse keeps stuttering. If I move the mouse it takes about 5 seconds before the pointer moves.
Does anyone have a theory or solution to my Magic Mouse woes?
I am trying to get Windows 7 Ultimate to fully connect to my Magic Mouse.
Here is what is going on.
Download Boot Camp 3.2 and installed it. Computer is still reporting I have Boot Camp 3.1 but I did not have any errors during installation and rebooted fine.
Reinstalled Boot Camp 3.2, and it completes very fast, reboots, but still says I have 3.1
Apple Software update says I am up-to-date...
All of this is to get 7 to connect to my Magic Mouse, which 7 see's but can not connect to.
I can't get it to connect, windows finds it but it just says connecting to device. I'm really annoyed with this thing, I know the multi touch stuff wont work but if it doesnt connect to windows as a basic mouse im returning it.

Then, I updated to Windows 7 Ultimate and it appears that the system keeps trying to connect to the Magic Mouse. By the way, it still works on Snow Leopard, so the problem is isolated to Windows 7.

I have just recently purchased a new 27" iMac i7 and everything so far seems to run as planned. I have successfully partitioned the OS Boot drive via Boot Camp to enable me to use Windows & Mac OS natively, however, in Windows XP I cannot seem to add the Magic Mouse device via bluetooth.
I have read numerous articles/threads/tutorials but still can't get to the bottom of the issue. I've followed the steps where you input the passcode (0000) or no passcode but there is no communication. Also when I right click on the mouse (device has been found), properties, I tick the box "keyboard, mouse and misc functions (HID)" it states "access denied"??
I then close the Bluetooth Device setup, start it back up to see if it has connected but unfortunately the mouse has disappeared again? Any ideas?
(Note: I am running Bootcamp v3.1 and my wired keyboard is fine.)
