what gives... have just installed OSX 10.6.6. 27" iMac i7, 2TB
now the iPhoto (latest up todate from ilife 11) version does not run.
when is apple going to bring out a patch to fix.
So I just put a new WD 750GB HD into my 2006 white Macbook. (Core Duo 2.0 Gigahertz, 2 GB RAM, 10.4.11 OS X). Everything seems to be working fine, but for some reason iPhoto crashes incessantly. I tried rebuilding the iPhoto library and while it can rebuild the thumbnails, when it gets to rebuilding the actual library it crashes. I can't get anything off of my iPhone. What's the deal?(iPhoto 6.0.6)
PS Trying to reinstall iPhoto as I type this.
I just installed Yosemite and iPhoto says I need an upgrade before it will open and I do not know where to find the upgrade. I have not been able to find it in the app store.

I have an iMac 27" late 2013. I was wanting to burn some dvd's and installed iDVD, while working with iDVD I received a notice that iPhoto could not be opened because it may be damaged or incomplete...Can I get it back??
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8) was going slow. I decided to reinstall OSX. All my data was backed up to my compatible external HD. I then erased my MacBook HD, and reinstalled OSX off the install disc and bundled applications disc. I went through the steps to set up the administrator account, and did all the other things in the instal process. I then did all necessary software updates. When all that was complete, I connected my external HS and opened migration assistant, and imported all the data from the latest backup.  I now find that all my backed up data from before is under a different user account - named as in the old OSX set up. How do I populate my newly installed iTunes and iPhoto with the imported data stored under the 'old' username? Shouldn't this have happened automatically?

I can't access my homebanking website (it uses Safari). When I try to, the website says I don't have Java Installed (it was working till last week). If I access Java test page, it says Java is working good. If I access my homebanking with Firefox, it runs OK.

I've pushed harder than should be necessary to try and set the memory in the slot. Its in there. When I turn my macbook on it goes to my log on screen. From there my keyboard and track pad do not work. It wont let me do anything. I can't type my password or move the cursor...? I'm completely lost!

I have a MacBook Pro 17 ( two years old maybe) and just upgraded to Lion. I can do the pinching part of the new trackpad Lion coolness but not the scrolling. Which is annoying since the old scroll bars on windows are gone. I have them all selected to be ON in system prefs.Do these features not work on macs that aren't new with a builtin new magic pad?

Just wondering anyone run into any problem after installed Safari 4.0.5? I have 7,000+ photos in my iPhoto library, many of which have been painstakingly edited. However, when I noticed yesterday that pictures I had deleted (and emptied from the iphoto trash) have reappeared in the library under the relevant 'Events' folder. Why oh why oh why? I have spent six hours already redeleting and editing. Why did this happen? How can I repeat it from happening again? Do I need to "rebuild" my library by holding down the command + option keys when opening iphoto?

After I copied the old library to Pictures folder, iPhoto prompted me to install and run upgraded.
I did that but when I try to open iPhoto it still prompts me "The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto." after I click upgrade it shuts down immediately. When I try to access the library as described above, it only opens what I believe is called a package.

I put in the incorrect username/password when asked to by iPhoto when i upgraded to Iphoto11, i want to send a photo from Iphoto, now it will not send as it states i have the wrong combination. Where oh where do i reset or input the correct details? Error message states username/password are incorrect...... but option to reset or change them or try again.

Installed a new 750GB drive into my MacBookPro 5.1 Couldn't get Winclone to make image so I was forced to start from scratch with a new XP installation.
My MBP is partitioned 25%Mac & 75%XP with bootcamp and I have the old drive in a enclosure connected with a firewire. So all of old files are on the external drive now.
After installing XP I have no internet connection, drivers etc... However if I boot up on the mac side everything works fine. (I cloned the mac os already with Carbon copy).
So can I just copy all my old drivers over to the new drive? If yes how and if no how do I get them installed on the new harddrive. The MBP came with everything preinstalled.
