Applications :: Tinker Tool Relaunch To Change Fonts Does Not Work

is anyone experiencing issues with Tinker Tool?
I am on a Unibody with 10.5.6. and I would need to change the font sizes for my gf as they are causing her a terrible eyestrain.
I just discovered Tinker Tool and wanted to test the font size functions, but everytime i change them and I want to preview the size, it is saying that I would need to relaunch it in order to be able to preview - I do that, nothing happens - fonts change back to default.

I'm having a strange problem with my MacBook. I'm dual monitoring, and yesterday the screen on my actual MacBook went to the blue apple background instead of the BMW M Coupe I had as the background. Strange, but I didn't really care. Then today, I decide to change the background on the 21". I try and change it once and System Preferences crashes and I relaunch it. Now when I click on a new background it doesn't work and it spikes my CPU a bit. These wallpapers were downloaded off of a forum (downloaded each of them individually) and originally resided on my desktop (icons) but then I moved them to my HD. Thats when the problem started. Is my CPU supposed to spike when my HD is being used (searching for something in finder)?

I used bootcamp to install windows 7 on my MBP. Everything runs smoothly except the fonts on webpages look very odd. The letters appear to be very skinny.

I'd like to change the font of Safari itself (not the font of the web pages). I have a 27 inch monitor now and sometimes find the font of lists (i.e. bookmarks) too small.

For the past few months, I've been having a few problems with iTunes. This was happening way back in Ver. 8, and since upgrading to iTunes 9, the issue remains. I've also tried re-installing iTunes 9, but no luck.First off, iTunes invokes spaces randomly. Say I'm searching in Safari - Spaces will automatically switch to iTunes, and after switching back - it does it again and again, and then it stops, for about 20 minutes.

I created, in Mac OS 10.3.9, a series of thousands of templates I use in my business, with fonts I have gleaned from many sources over the yrs. It amounts to hundreds & hundreds of hours expended on my part to create these templates, which are invaluable to me. When I tried to transfer these fonts to 10.4.11. by using a test template on my newest iMac, I was told, in a window, they were not usuable. The written part of the templates, using fonts I have used for yrs., reverted to the default font Helvetica.
I have a current support contract W/Apple. When I called the tech people @ Mac they were unable to help my in any way. I also searched the net & found other people @ chat sites W/the same problem but no help. Then I found your site by accident when I was downloading SuperDuper. Can something like TTConverter solve my problem? Or is it only for the interface between classic or windows fonts (which none of these are but @ one time some of them were used in Classic, but later trasferred O.K. to 10.3.9. Or do U have an idea??I am going crazy W/this. I need to upgrade my older iMac. If I do it wipes out all the fonts I have used since OS 7. It would be too much work to redo them all over in fonts that 10.4 W/accept.

Whe I got a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.7.3, I loaded my library of fonts and keep finding that fonts that worked fine on my old tower are not working.

The Fonts I'm attempting to use were downladed from a reputable website I have done business with for years. Never had any problems using their stuff before on any platform: PC/Windows, Mac, Linux, or Free BSD. The Fonts are activated, but when I Validate them in Font Book I get the Message: 'Name' Table Structure [With a Yellow ( ! ) next to it]. What does this mean? How do I fix it? I can see the Fonts in Font Book, I can open them, Preview them, but I cannot use them in ANY application! They refuse to show up in the font list for Word, Pages, and even Gimp! I see other people having similar problems, but not exactly like the one I am having. I have tried all the propper proceedures and nothing has worked so far.

I have a set of fonts that I need to use for a client's logo design. When I switched over from my MBP to this newer iMac, not all of the fonts in the font book are working. I've gone to several tech blogs and inquired about the issue and have gotten good advice but none seems to be the answer to my dilemma. In the FontBook, I can see the following:
New Peninim
Ariel Hebrew
Corsiva Hebrew
Raanana
Israel
But, when I try to engage them in either Photoshop or Illustrator, nothing but blank boxes seems to come up.

fonts must be messed up in Snow Leopard. Some system things display strange fonts. For example, my user name in upper right hand corner of the screen doesn't look right.ALso, the font on the "tabs," in Safari is not correct, and I can compare it to other SL computers.

I am looking for a RAR archiver (don't ask why... because I used it a lot on my Windows machine) in order to create split RAR-archives. But there is no good RAR programme for the Macs! Yesterday I found RARMe and it has been working very well... Today it doesn't want to create archives anymore. I switched to Rarify, which is a very simple programme but it does what it has to do. The problem is that it is too simple and I still need some options... Could you tell me how YOU solve this problem of not having a good RAR-tool on OSX? Which programme is the best?

I need a tool to convert an .AVI movie file with an .SRT subtitle file to a DVD format. I mean it should be able to authorise a DVD with the subtitles. Is there a good application that can do that? I HAVE looked on VersionTracker, but it's a friggin' jungle..
It does not matter what license it has. If it's a good app, I don't mind shelling out some $$$ for it.

I have seen many nicely designed desktops and most of them have customized menubars, from the different menu icons (like gmail notifier, bowtie, etc) to even the fonts and different apple icons.
I have tried to use Magnifique but, that seems to only change some of it.
My question is, how would I be able to change the fonts and the icons on the menubar? What would I need?

My boss accidentally deleted all the pics off of her digital camera's SD card and she's offering me $100 if I can retrieve them. There was an app I used a few years ago that was free to look at what pics it could recover, and then you paid to recover them but I can't remember what it was called.

I am looking for a website authoring/publishing tool for Mac OS. I am by no means a web designer, I have created sites before using front page and they worked great and stuff. I also created a site using iWeb but that will not work for what I need to do. I was tasked with redesigning our intranet page so basically I just need a recommendation of a software that would help me do so. Nothing super advanced just something that would make a nice user friendly site.

I am looking for a way to integrate the command + Q hotkey that is used to quit an application on the Better Touch Tool. How can I add the command key in the input field for "custom keyboard shortcut"? I am looking for some trackpad gesture that does not include use of the keyboard (just the trackpad) that I could use to quit an app easily.

Not so worried about what I am getting outside the network, more interested on the inside. If this makes sense.

I've always backed up the DVDs I've purchased for when the originals get scratched. On a PC I had a decent workflow that involved a decrypter, a compressor, and Roxio burning ROM. Now on a Mac I'm a bit lost. I've used handbrake to rip DVDs to be playable in iTunes and have Burn installed, but there seems to be something missing, namely a compression tool and the ability to keep the original DVDs menu structure, etc. I know about Mactheripper but am lost after that. Shed some light on this for me?

I'm currently running snow leopard and I use Fontagent Pro 4 to manage my fonts. For some reason, even though all of my fonts are deactivated in FA, they are all available in Microsoft Office and CS4 applications! With ~3000 fonts, you can imagine that these applications take a while to start up (especially office - CS4 apps tend to be a bit speedier). I've tried everything I can find on - cleaning font caches, etc.

I did some searches in google as well as this forum and it looks like there are quite a few options out there for users interested having a program automatically grab missing album artwork from places like amazon if you are running iTunes on Windows.
Users have also reported that some of these tools are great at screwing up the existing album artwork in your iTunes library.
I am looking for a batch tool since I have missing artwork on 1000s of songs (note that this album artwork is not present in itunes store). Does anyone know of a good, reliable program or script that can import missing album artwork on iTunes 8 in OS X 10.5?

In the FONT book I have lots of great fonts under "ALL FONTS". When I open Word I can only access about 60% of them...in FONT Book, when I try and drag them from ALL FONTS to COMPUTER (which are the fonts that Word uses), I get the duplicate font response which, when I try and RESOLVE, I disable fonts.
How can I access fonts in ALL FONTS (listed in FONT book) when using WORD?
