Jun 12, 2012I purchased quite a few apps on my husband's iTune because we synched on the same computer. Now that I am using the iCloud I want my own iTune account so that my husband's devices don't synch with my devices. Do I have to purchase the apps again in my new account or can I transfer them from my husband's account?

Mar 12, 2012I open App Store application and it shows that I have 1 update available for an app I never purchased. I try clicking the update button and get the message "You have updates available for other accounts: Sign in to [url]... to update applications for that account." -- I have no clue what this account is or where it came from but it's not mine. MY updates seem to be working OK but I can't get rid of this 1 update available message.

App Store :: Trying To Update App But Asking To Sign In To Another Unknown Account ID
Apr 24, 2012I have the app store icon in my dock indicating that an app has an update. I click the app in the the update section and another window appears telling me I have updates for other accounts and that I need to sign into that accound to update applications for that account. The email address for that account is unknown to me. I am not aware of anyone having hacked my account, but it is in the back of my mind naturally that this has occurred. I have changed password on my account so far. I cannot delete the update from the app store even though I have deleted the iphone app from my itunes list.

Jan 6, 2011I setet up an iTunes account with a $25 card I bought from the Apple Store on 5th Avenue in NYC. Since then, I send money to a friend who lives in the US and he emails me back the code from a gift voucher. My account is registered at his address but doesn't have any billing information in. I was just reading that when you go in for the first time, it asks you to verify your credit card information. As I don't live in the US and don't have a US credit card, and set the account up with store credit, how would I go through and confirm my billing information without card info? Also if I can get around the problem above, and I have credit on my iTunes Store account, can this be used to pay for apps?

Jan 6, 2011Tried out the App Store today, it looks cool. Way cooler than expected, I actually like it. I decided to go on a downloading spree of FREE apps. Now I have an Apple ID, but I've never filled out the credit card info. I will not be using the App Store for anything paid, I don't want to put in my credit card info, is there any way I can create an account without giving Apple my CC details? Cons: seems pretty hopeless at detecting installed apps. Apparently I don't have GarageBand or Keynote installed. Ah well.

Dec 6, 2014We have 5 macs in our family, all were configured under my iCloud account for the App store & I just used to log in with my iCloud account on my partner/daughters machines to do updates etc.Â
Daughter has now gone to Uni & I'd like to move her "App store account" side of things over to her own iCloud account so that she can continue doing updates etc. without needing me.Â
How do I go about changing this on her machine? I'm not looking to wipe the machine for resale etc. just give her the ability to carry out updates without needing my account details. There are a few minor apps installed on it from my Apple ID but nothing major that she'd worry about losing if she needed to remove them but what is the score in this area anyway?Â
